this game is just like gta but without driving and shooting and other things that made gta great. one thing i hated was once i started to play the game the handling of the cars suck. the graphics are okay and every thing is just ok. if you have vice city and want more games like it, just buy gta3, not getaway.

I LOVE GETAWAY. ILOVE THE ADVENTURE I WENT ON AROUND IN PARIS. I LOVE RACING THE THE CITY AND DODGING CARS. I HOPE THERE WILL BE A GETAWAY2. I LOVE SOLVING PUZZLES. I LOVE BEING CHASE BY POLICE CARS, FIGHTING IN GANG WARS AND ADVANCING TO NEXT LEVEL.

Yeah, I figured this title to be a GTA rip-off with no depth or personality of its own. I also thought it wouldn't be very much fun to play, either. Well, I was wrong in all these areas. This is a solid game that has a lot under the hood, most of it good, some of it bad. The cut-scenes are too long. The controls are odd at times and so is the driving. But there is stil a lot to keep players interested. Lots of guns, lots of violence, and oh yeah they say the "f" word in here too. I was impressed. It aint GTA but it is still worth your cash.

im srry to say that this game is simply terrible. i thot i had a better chance of growing wings and flying away then beating the first level. the intro is bad and upsetting. its like your wife is murdered in front of ur 5 year old son whos then kidnapped. you have to chase down the bad people which is impossible. they probaly wont show this review cuz its not to great but i only have to say...The Getaway isnt worthy of a 1 star.

I like the format and the story of the game. You can do plenty of things. I would compare this to GTAVC. The only not so great part of the game is the limited amount of weapons. If the game had more weapons, I would say this was better than GTAVC. The game is a great buy.

Well overall i do like the game. It has a cool story line and i love how acuratly they detailed present day London, the vehicles and everything else. But, There are some things wrong with it. 1: The controls are bad, example: you cant change views when walking or driving. 2: WAY to easy to ditch the cops. 3: When you hit a car very hard both pretty much get destroyed, however when you hit a car and the car you hit hits another car that other car gets no damage. And 4: The one I HÅTÊ, you can not save until you beat the ÊÑTÎRË mission, and these missions can take up to and sometimes exceding 3 hrs not including when you die. Aside from the flaws I pointed out. I have nothing else to say that is wrong with this game. When you beat the game there is a cool Free Roam Mode ,and i dont think i need to explain what that is. But just i case some of you dont know what it is, You get to Roam Free around London and do whatever you want.

Folks, stop complaining about the movies and play the game. Watch the movie the first time so you get the story and if you have to restart press in R3 and MOST of the time it'll skip it. Itll still show the major and important movies. Enjoy

The getaway was the game that i was after when it first came out, as i was lovin the G T A games and loved 2 lock stock and two smokin barrels ande apparently it was ment 2 b like that, but when i got it i was well annoyed because there wasnt many cars in the game, the cars were old ones, and it took ages to load up everytime. STEVE

First of all the graphics are awesome and the storyline is wonderful.One problem is that you can't have an In car view when driving.Also you can't free roam until you've beaten the game.What is also cool is there are many missions you play through (24 total).In the first 12 missions you play as Mark Hammond and the other half as Frank Carter.So as you can see it is a very long game.It is also very cool to drive through London and see famous locations such as Big Ben and Hyde Park.Another cool part is that you can jack any car off the street including a double decker bus.Anybody who has played GTA will love this game.Everyone should get too play this game!!
