THIS GAME IS SO BORING AND HARD. MAYBE IF YOU ARE A SUPER GAME FREAK YOU CAN BEAT IT. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER CLONE OF GTA: VICE CITY, BUT IN LONDON.

CONS:
STUPID WAY TO REDEEM YOUR HEALTH
BACKGROUND MUSIC IS SO ANNOYING
TOO MANY CARS, WHICH TAKES IT LONGER TO GO PLACES
TO BEAT THE GAME YOU WILL NEED TO PUT IN MANY CHEATS
THERE IS NOT ANY COMPASS TO GUIDE YOU, SO YOU WILL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME LOST
THERE IS NO FREEDOM, ALL YOU DO IS MISSIONS, MISSIONS, AND MISSIONS

I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE A HOT GAME, BUT I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!!

The Getaway is Grand-theft-auto mixed with James Bond mixed with Max Payne. It is probably one that Rockstar Games would've tried to make. It is just too bad that they didn't think of it in the first place! I give this game a triple A plus!!

Insanely Difficult game

This game is ...UN-IMAGINABLY DIFFICULT. Do Not buy this game if you're not willing to endure lasting frustrations in trying to get to the next level. They don't let you skip the looong ass cutscenes they made for each and every level, you have to sit and watch them everytime. PLus there's a lack of proper save in this game, they don't let you save until you beat the whole missions. If you're born gifted with ps2 controllers and willing to endure what i described, you should buy this game. but otherwise, actual gameplay/graphics are incredible.

Innovative? Yes; Fun? NO!!!

The main thing I'd like to emphasize about this game, is how innovative it was. They actually laid down actual geographical miles of a European city; London; maybe you've heard of it.

London is one of the most complex cities in the world, and for a videogame Production Company to take the time to lay down actual geographical footage is phenomenal.

But the game "fun factor" leaves a lot to be desired. Controls are just okay to plain awful! This is one of the last games, that I can think of, that didn't take advantage of the right controller stick, to turn your 3rd person view character around to the point of view of the player. What results, is a poor shooting view, which is about 90% of the game. PROBLEM!

I give this game 2 stars, for playing, and 4 over all, for just plain over all innovation!

It's quite cheap now, on this website, so I would suggest a purchase over a rental. You will get some enjoyment out of it. The British accents are fun to listen to. And there's a mess of naughty words, so don't let your under 17 year old kids try this one.

When I first saw this game adverstized on T.V. -I thought
what a cool idea the game wooed be. -If I play it. -My
self. -As it turns out. -I have the game now. -When I
played it. -Were did the map and the dot and the signs
go two. -The game got very tough and very nerve racking

As I'd played along the first half missions. -Their was no
point two no map at all. -This is the hardest game on the
planet. -The mission is two fast. -You don't know what two
do afterwords. -First. -Your wife gets killed at your
apartment. -Your kid gets taken away. -Then you half two
fallowe instructions from your former friend ho wants you

Dead for what you did two him. -Those actions from the
actors of this game. -Believe me. -I've wished I known
what they done with the map. -The signs. -The dot that
tells you where the go. -I was first excited about playing
the game becuase the commercial's. -Now. -I was robbed.

I hope the makers of this game learn a lesson. -And
put a map where you go for your next mission. -It is very
frustrating. -I got lost on the third; -and; -fourth mission.
So I just quit as I drove around London and the other city.

I am not a action fan..! -But enjoy the blood; -the; -violence.
And; -have fun. -With the game. -I thought this; -GRAND THEFT
AUTO--thing like; -is just a ripp-off.

Please.. -Please.. -Make new course corrections on the
sequel.

If you want a violent game with some cursing and a GTA like game buy this, I had fun on this for 3-4 months. This is different to GTA by not having freedom(I'll get to free roam later), In GRAND THEFT AUTO before missions you could do what you like and there's so much deph with hidden packages or rampages and so on. In this you drive place to place in a linier fascion and get to shoot people and drums(exsploding barrels). There's no originality, sure you get to torch a bar(set it on fire)but it happens automaticly when walking through the upper floor.

Freeroam
I don't like this. The only reason I went onto it was to find hidden cars and that is it.

kind of like GTA

the comercials for this game where great, and the game is to it is kind of like gta with better graphics but with crappier game play the game play is fun though but its very hard to escape the police and sometimes the auto aim sucks but the storyline is great and its like your watching a movie and palying the parts in between it is very linear though but it is still very fun
