Spiderman2 looks really cool and it is great, as others have noted, to swing around the city but once that gets old the game is kind of boring.

The missions are very repetitive and just can't hold your interest for very long.

It is defintely worth a rental for any Spidey fans or anyone who likes Bruce Campbell. His voice in the training mode is great fun!

I watched this game trailer,read all the reviews and seen all the screenshots.This is the coolest game I've seen to date.This is a dramtic change from the previous spider-man games.First of all,the swinging system is cool.Your webbing must stick to the building,causing you to fly into all these cool directions.Second,for the first time ever,you can go to the streets!You can save people,stop crooks,and a whole other stuff.The combo system has been updated to use multiple webs at any time.Rumors say that the game is over 20 hours long.BUY the game!!!!When it comes out,you won't be dissapointed!!

You can write a review based on the information you already know. As others have said there is to be 5 villains in the Spidey 2 game. This is wrong, there is actually seven villains in this game. This time around the game is more like Grand Theft Auto. Intead of levels, you just go round the city as you please. This time the web-swinging looks just like the movie with real physics and everything, your webbing actually latches onto something, weither it be a buliding, lamp post or helicoptor. Your missions inculde those of saving window washers, getting hellium ballons back to screaming little boys and taking injured people to the hospital. And of course stopping robberys. If you can see it then you can get to it, the city is HUGE. I will defintely buy this. I'm sure it will be an awsome game.

Spiderman 2 is the best superhero game ever! I love web slinging from one part of the city to the other part of the city! Some things aren't as realistic as it's supposed to be, though. I'm talking about no big traffic on the streets and no big crowds in the sidewalks. It would be cool if crowds cheer for you, instead of one or two people cheering for you. I wish you can go Inside OSCORP and the Empire State Building and other skyscrapers and you can go everywhere in those skyscrapers, but technology isn't that advanced yet, so when Spidey 3 comes out, i hope these new features would be available!

EXTREMELY AWESOME AT FIRST!Then...well...Mysterio appeared.

Fun game. Best I own. Whatever people say, you can only go in about 7% of New York's buildings such as the Bugle, the stupid made-up-for-the-game Sports Arena, stores, the arcade, and Hans' Pizzaria. Oh, yeah. THAT'S ALL!!! Make that less than 3% of the buildings. But web-swingings is awesome and so is fightings, because you can make Spidey do whatever you see him do in the comics.
Rhino, the first boss, is easy as long as you press O when your Spider Sense tingles. NO OTHER BOSS IS THAT EASY. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT 100% HARDER. Mysterio, who shouldn't be in the game at all, ruins it, is next. He makes it seem like HE's the main storyline, not Doc Ock. All the Quentin Beck and Mysterio levels are extremely hard and near impossible, not to mention stupid and goofy. Last time I checked, ol' Fishbowl Head was the Master of Illusion, not aliens and gadgets. That's where I'm stuck right now, even though I've been playing 3 days straight. To skip Mysterio from the start, start a new game using the name "HCRAYERT", it's a code.
Another really hard waste of time in this game is Black Cat. You chase her a ton of times just because Spidey wants a, well, MUCH closer look.
Oh, yes. THe graphics. THEY SUCK!!!The PS1 version of Spider-Man is equal to them. Harry Osborn always smiles, even when he's talking about Spider-Man killing his father. Crimes are repetitive. Whenever you are carrying a criminal, a construction worker, or injured man, go to the top of the Empire State Building and jump off. This will kill the man you're carrying. Or, jump in the water. Only the man you're carrying will die.

Next time you stop by Hans' Pizzaria, tell Mr. Aziz Gigi says hi. Oh, and say hello to Betty Brant at the Bugle and tell her that I'm interested, wink wink. (:

To be honest with you this is really a 3 stars game but it secured the 4 stars because it is Spidey. The first one was tremendous and I couldn't put it down but this is quite different.At the beginning you get a nice tutorial(I recommend you do it).When you press Start you have a To Do List which shows you which objectives to complete in order to finish off the chapter. That's when the problem begins. In most chapters you have to gain hero points just to progress, that means helping people in distress. It gets extremely boring after a while. You either have to chase a hijacked car, save someone from falling of the building or beating up thugs. The combat is nice and easy. There are lots of different moves and swings but mostly you have to buy them from the shop. There are of course villains like Rhino, Mysterio and Doc Oct. The graphics are smooth and crisp but nothing extraordinary. The sound is like any other game, very bland. You can do whatever you want in this game whenever you want. All in all a very average game but wraps up 4 stars just because it is Spidey, the superhero we have all come to like. I hope you have found my review helpful. I was really eager to get my controls on this one.. and There are several improvements over the first one...like the ability to walk on the streets HA !! It is a little repetitive with the missions.. but I do enjoy playin it..Let me say I am yet to get to the %100 but I have beaten the Doc, not that easy...but on my way to more goodies i hope.
So far I am a somewhat disappointed, it has so much potential and hopefully I can return to report that my satisfaction has improved... I was blown away by the first one and this one is filled with promise...over all enjoyable with hopefully lots more extras that I simply have not found yet...I will be fair and let you all know If I am more pleased @ 100% and beyond.

Now that i have played Spiderman 2 and gotten past beating Mysterio for the first time i can say that this is the best superhero game to date.....i love the web swinging.and the free roam.....the city is huge and climbing to the top of the empire state building and free falling is so awesome also the street crimes are cool too everything from getting back hijacked cars to stopping a robbery and sometines u have to even rescue a lost ballon and return it to the little kid this is a spiderman game to the heart buy it when u can and if u can

evey one knows that spider man 2 is going to be the best game ever, YOU GET GO ON THE GROUND, HOW COOL IS THAT, SIMILAR TO GRAND THEFT AUTO BUT YOU CAN SWING AND CLIMB AROUND
EVERYONE MUST VORCE THERE PARENTS TO GET THIS GAME NO MATTER WHAT OR EARN MONEY, JUST ONE MORE DAY
