Make sure you meet the minimum requirenments to run the game otherwise it will be a bit jerky. An enjoyable game with a good storyline to keep you interested.

Mafia is a good game very similiar to Grand Theft Auto games. It has a decent story to it you work for the mafia as a hitman and whatever else they want you to do (mostly their dirty work). It is a fun game and can be very enjoyable at times My big problem with the game is it involves a lot of trial and error which can be extremely frustrating. Some of the missions in the game are pretty damn hard and you can get stuck on for hours some for days and the fact that you have to repeat them over and over til you complete them right can be very boring and annoying after a while. The game does not have a quick save but to its benefit it has autosaves(checkpoints basically) at certain points during missions. The price of this game is $10 nowadays making it well worth it to buy and check out.
A GOOD GAME, VERY REALISTIC.

I decided to put this title because this game represents almost exactly the year 1930.
Don't expect to find easy cars in here, why?, because in 1930, to drive a car was a very dificult task. The satege of the race car is a very realistic, the handling of ther car is a replica of the cars of 1930. I tried this five timeas and in each one i won the race for about 25 seconds to the second place. The only thing that I did was to LEARN how to control the car, and never expect that the driving was equal of, say, need for speed underground 2.
This game is and excelent replica of that time, the guns are to realistic, and the cars are the same of that year.
I strongly recomend that if you don't have patience, is beter to saty away of this game, but if you like a very good game, which is dificult even in the easy seting, and like the chalenge, go for it, and i sure you don't be disaponted.
enyoy the game.
No car racing

I liked this game when I first sat down to play it. I have played Max Payne as well as Grand theft auto III. I couldn't wait for this game to come out, I watched and waited. Now that I have played it, I wished I saved my money. I loved the first few levels, and I thought the driving around the town was actually enjoyable. The one aspect of driving I didn't like was being made to drive in a car race. If I want to drive in a car race, I will get a NASCAR game. I was just really suprised to come across a level in this game where you have to race 5 laps and WIN or else you loose and have to do it again. Leave the racing games to themselves please. After trying the race 20 or 30 times, I find myself just playing the FREE RIDE feature of this game, which can be fun.
Great stuff...

Playing Mafia is like reading a book from Mario Puzo. Amazing story which was very well executed and implemented. The story of Tommy Angelo is as amazing as Michael Corleone when he was in exile in Sicily. Truly facinating. A must for any gamers who love a good plot.

don't get me wrong but they are both endivually good games.they are both unique in there own way.mafia is strickly about the mafia.

I was initially put off by the title until convinced by a friend that Mafia must be experienced. To enjoy this game one does not even need to interact with the senarios or participate in violence. My wife hates guns and any kind of violence, yet she loves the Mafia game. She simply enjoys driving a taxi through this 1930s era American city or going for a walk (unarmed of course) in the quiet nighttime hours listening to the sounds of the city or the authenic depression-era music soundtrack. She's never threatened with violence unless she happens to have an accident with a car occupied by gangsters. For myself, I grew up in a large eastern U.S. city in the same 1930s and this game brings it all back...just like a time machine. My friends feel the same way and all of us would especially recommend this game to seniors.
