Mafia, like the title hints at just a little bit, is about the seedier side of society. In this particular romp into the crimeworld, you will take control of a grunt in the mafia around the 30's. The game is set in a city that is a mixture of Chicago and New York called Lost Heaven. You will need to rise from your stature as lowly foot soldier into a feared made man. You will play through 20 missions where you will need to perform tasks that Don Salieri asks you to complete. During these missions you will be able to drive over 60 specific cars from the 30s and weapons like the infamous Tommy gun. The game is currently under construction, but should be released some time in November '00.

Well in this game you are the soldier. You are the one thats on the streets taking the orders. You are the one shooting at the targets. You can go whatever/do whatever you want in this game without interference. You can hit someone in the face, shoot up a whole street, take a subway, or hijack a car. Anything is possible in this game. That is why I give it 5 stars.

I found out about this game a couple months ago in this game you can make a crime any time anywhere!!!I can't wait ti'll it comes out you can drive cars and mug them!Theres wepons like a Tommy Gun,Knife,Pump-Action Shotgun,Pistol,etc.I think there are ten diffrent multiplayer games like capture the flag,deathmatch,cops and robbers,etc.I can't wait to get it im getting it the first day it comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sick and tired of running around shooting and dying in multi - play games. If i use strategy in a multigame i wanna kill on the first bullet or second. I am excited about this game , Due to the fact that I get to be in charge of the enviroment. I wanna be able to smash a car up or walk the streets. I will be dissapointed if it takes 40,000 bullets to kill an op-ponent

GTA3 Take off?

Is this game a take off of Grand Theft Auto 3? It could be, but it still will be soooo much fun. It will satsify until GTA3 comes out for the Computer sometime in April. Cant wait til mafia comes out

This game is going to rule. I dont think it will be as violent as gta3. One of the reasons i like this game is because of the freedom to do whatever you wish! There are over 60 specific cars and 20 missions. Remember,once you beat it you can always go around the city and do crazy things. ...

I agree with the other reviews that this game looks extremely good, fun to play exciting ect., but it was supposed to be released LAST YEAR! I've been waiting for this game to come out for almost a year now, and with the last push in the release date it seems i will be waiting a year. I'm not even sure that i want this game now. I'm not sure who dropped the ball on this one, if it was talonsoft, or god games, but in any case they need to get their act together and stop promising things they can't deliever.

This will be a winner...

"A Gamer" clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. The fact that they have been using quite some time on this game now only goes to show that they want to give us the best possible product. I'll wait a while for that, and I'm sure most others will too. I just love the mafia theme, and the game looks excellent and interesting. The weapons, vehicles, buildings and story is well polished and I think it simply can't fail.
