There's plenty of suspense and gore in hee, including zombie villagers with scythes, axes and pitchforks. Not to mention the mutant wolves, with tentacles coming out of there backs. There's also bigger monsters, like giant monsters that look like shaved King Kongs, giant fishes, and others. There are people with bags over their heads, using chainsaws. They cut off my head twice!
But for good news, theirs occuasionally an ammo salesman who can help you. Try it, and check out the UNLIMITED ACTION.
Best RE YET!!!!

Resident Evil 4 is the best game of its series yet. Being able to practically do anything and kill people in a strategical fashion is a great game aspect...
You play as Leon going to an island in Europe to find the missing US president's daughter. On the way to search for her you discover that the people int the towns of the island have been transformed into intelligent humanoid killing machines, they are not zombies since they are alive yet they act like it. They are very intelligent when they are after you, they will mostly scare the begeezus out of you. Anyway, you find out a man named saddler is behind it, he also has a little french midgit son named salazar who is so damn annoying (i hate his little french voice!!!). LOL, but the enemies are sort of in the middle range of difficulty, bosses are quite easy since each boss battle has a hint of defeating them. Yet, I have some warnings and some hints on how to defear numerous foes throughout the game... oh yes there are also chainsaw people HEHE...
Warnings n Tips: 1. always go cautiously around a corner and have your gun ready since you do not know what can be around it (trust me i ran around a corner and a chainsaw guy slashed my head off, it scared the hell out of me.)
2. always reload guns before going into a room your not sure of and usually just reload them anyway just to be safe.
3. When in a boss battle, always look around for a clue or item that could be lying around. This could save your a$$ in a battle.
4. If you are getting surrounded by numerous foes, always remember to get a strong gun that will take them all down in a blast (i recommened buying the shotgun ASAP from the merchant, you will defnitely need it later on.)
5. Dont get cocky and start blasting all around hitting all guys up close, let them come to you and if they throw a weapon at you, run real quick. (you can tell when they throw a weapon when they raise their weapon over their head.)
6. Always try to shoot your foes in the legs so it will bring them to the ground, them blast them in the head to get a easier kill. Oh yes and when a parasite comes out shoot it without mercy!!!
7. LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT, TRY AND CONSERVE AMMO, MONEY, AND HEALTH ITEMS UNTIL EMERGENCIES ONLY!! try to keep up your amounts of ammo and health so you can use them later on when you will possibly need it. Plus, try to save money up so you can upgrade your weapons and stuff, also try to save at least 30000 gold points so you can buy a rocket launcher from the merchant for bigger boss battles.
It is a fantastic game and capcom really made a gold digger, keep up the good work capcom. LOL I AM A HARDCORE RE FAN!!!!!!
cant wait for RE5 to come out on the PS3 baby!!!
WE NEED MORE GAMES OF THIS QUALITY !!!

Resident Evil 4 is definitely the best action game ever created. Developed by the same team that created the original Devil May Cry which, was possibly the best action game on the market at the time. This team of game developers should be touted and, praised as Gods of the gaming world.
Resident Evil 4 goes above all expectations for what a video game should be on all levels. The graphics are unmatched. The gameplay is is addictive and, this game is remarkably long for a game that is so finely tuned. The voice acting is above average and, the cut-scenes are long enough to develop the story line but, are relatively short. Which, is a plus for someone like Me who doesn't like watching video games as much as playing them. This game also has incredible replay value. After, you beat the game the first time You'll want to start playing it over immediatly with all the goodies that you accuired the first time around. Plus, there are multiple mini-games to unlock that are a blast to play. This is more than just a must own for any mature gamer. This game is an instant classic.

I couldn't wait to buy this the first day it arrived on the PS2 console. I was hoping it was worth all the hype that it created, and it couldn't have been any better! All the voice acting is top-notch and it has the best story I've ever seen in a video game. The gameplay is easy and simple, the monsters are AWESOME!!!! The Iron Maiden was the creepiest character on any game ever! (Iron Maidens an awesome band by the way). This is the must have game of the year. I like it better then GTA:San Andreas. Plus it's loaded with mini games after you beat it, so you'll be entertained for a long time even after you beat the game. I have no idea why they would possibly sell it for $40, on the first day!!! BUY IT! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!
FANTASTIC

I'm not a Resident Evil junkie. I played Veronica X and dabbled with one of the original ones on the original playstation, and that was about it. But Resident Evil 4 will blow you away.
First off, the graphics are fantastic! I bought this the other day and on my day off watching my newborn son, I decided to sit down and play for awhile. Yeah... Awhile was an understatement. My wife got home, asked what I did today and I had nothing... nothing to say except... Resident Evil 4 was fun.
This game will scare you. I don't care if you think it won't. It will. I think it's because it builds tension so well. You arrive in a remote community in search of the Presidents daughter and are quickly subdued into the carnage. After you explore the first house, you'll realize how cool of a game you are in.
You can slide a dresser in front of the door so people can't get it in. (This is a good idea). You can dive through windows to escape. You have new weapons and the controls are fluid... although you still can't RUN and SHOOT. You can Run.... stop and shoot... but you can't run and shoot. That is the only thing I can complain about.
I'm not gonna give plot away because half the fun is finding out all the twists that Resident Evil 4 has in store, but I will say... that this is unlike any Resident Evil 4 game you've ever played.
Gone is the stiffness of previous Resident Evil games. You have an open environment to explore. Explore how you choose. There are puzzles, but not overwhelming puzzles... this game is mostly about scares and violence.
Choose the right time to use your shotgun... sniper rifle with scope... rocket launcher... incideniary grenade... and of course the mystery weapon that I'm still working to get.
In Resident Evil 4, you also have to collect jewels so that you can buy goods from the merchant dealer who is a shady character himself. The first time he walks by a window when you're walking down the hallway and says something to you... you'll wonder if you should go or not.
Oh... and if you hear a chainsaw? RUN like hell. Seriously. Great game! Fantastic! I can't wait till I can sit down and play it again.
A very good game

RE4 it's a very good game. Good graphics and the position of the camera it's better than RE Outbreak, however the movement of the characters is a bit clumsy. Fortunately the weapons have a laser sight so it's easier for your to shoot, yoo can upgrade the weapons which are powerful and help you to escape of very rough moments. The AI makes of the characters a better game especially for the enemies, now it's not a game to wait and shoot the attackers, now they use weapons and run.
The game it's long and takes time to finish it, at least, it took me 1 week to finish (normal mode).
It's funny to see how they use Pesetas instead of Euros, and how they use the real Spanish National Police logo in the uniforms. I guees they came to North Spain to recreate the forests (not the life, Spain isn't a country of farmers).
Capcom has used the PS2 processor as much as they could to make a good game with the best graphics I've eever seen in a RE game, without a doubt the best game of the year.

I must say that I stopped playing this series after Nemesis because the games just became too confusing for me. I bought this one on a lark, and I am completely HOOKED!! The graphics are great, the controls are very simple, and although you may need the manual to complete the game (I did), you can figure a lot out by yourself.
What I liked about this is the fresh approach to the series. You are not hounded by slow-moving goblins, ghoulies, and zombies, but real people who are mind controlled and can turn VERY sadistic. In keeping in tune with the rest of the series, you are warned about "graphic violence, gore, and language." I'm thinking that's a bit too much. This is CARTOON violence at best because these are CARTOON people. This ain't real folks; stop making a mountain out of a molehill.
Pure entertainment; I enjoyed this one tremendously!!
Tons of fun. Amazing value for the money.

It seems like most games last only about 5-12 hours on Xbox 360 and PS3 and they cost three times as much as this game. Of course, length isn't the only reason to buy this game but it's the fact that not only is it so long but every minute is oozing quality that makes it an absolute must buy for PS2 owners. I really like that fact that it's challenging but never too hard. For those who want to pull their hair out you can try it on harder settings but I found the normal setting just right. I wish they had a bit more back story since I've never played other Resident Evil games but it's still one of the best games I've played.
