Exilarating!! But Aiming was slightly annoying at times.

The whole behind the back camera angle is a very cool feature, the game is nicely paced with not too hard enemies. Use of the laser is cool but a bit annoying at times due to the fact that the game was made with as much realism as possible meaning the character's hard tends to shake. That was my only problem with this game, otherwise, it's wonderful if you are looking for a nice horror game. But if i were to class this with other versions of RE4 i would say the Wii Edition is the best BUT this is a PS2 review sooooo.... 8.5 out of 10 n_n

an excellent game, the BEST of the RE series, the new game play blew me away!!! Bottom line, a MUST have!!!

It has so much stuff. There's just so much action. Here's a long list of stuff you're gonna encounter while playing this game, but I can guarentee it's only a small sample:
-Zombies
-People with chainsaws
-A giant monster
-A giant fish
-Giant bugs in the sewers
-People with hoods
-A little guy who's the evil one
-A merchant
-Mutant wolves
-An army of the undead
-The president's daughter (I hear there's a Chee-Code to make her walk around in a bikini)
-A guy with knives on his arms
-Occuasional target practice
-Comets
-Boulders
-A creepy bearded guy with a false eye
-Women with chainsaws
-A lift in the moutanins
-A spanish policia who helps for a small amount of time

Oh, there's just so much!

Great game. The beginning is a little rough but once you get used to the controls everything is fair. Wish the controls were more along the lines of God of War but i guess that'd make this a different type of game. Corny story, but well designed and fun game. Go read any magazine review and you'll see it's hard to find much written about this game that is bad.

Excellent game. Gameplay, lighting and audio is tight and well organized. The puzzles are challenging and the action keeps you on your toes. This game is top shelf!

The game is all it was touted to be, and different than some of its predecessors. I still haven't finished it, but then I take my time to finish a game, as I don't want to run through it and then have to buy another.

Keeping this review short and sweet. I dont personally believe that this was the best resident evil due to the fact that the monsters werent so creative which took the whole UNDEAD fealing away from the game. IT MADE ME FEEL MORE LIKE I WAS PLAYING METAL GEAR SOLID or something and not a survial horror. COULD HAVE DONE BETTER>

this game will make your muscles spasm and get you uncomfortable from the stress of playing it.

so make sure you're not alone when you play it, or you will freak yourself out.

Ok, so my review for the Wii version may have been a tad bit on the squeemish side. I went and purchased this game for my PS2, (as my friend had the Wii) and have LOVED it. I am on section 5-2 and have been enjoying it every step of the way. In fact, I haven't enjoyed a game this much since Halo, Half Life and Medal of Honor Allied Assault.
In this game you play the character Leon. He is a cop from racoon city sent to rescue the presidents daughter from a remote European location. This is when the plot takes a twist and he finds himself in a village of Spanish speaking villagers, obviously possesed by some greater evil. He later finds that they are the mutated result of a dangerous virus injected into them by an evil group called the Los Illuminados. Monks with attitude. Their evil plan: to turn Ashley inject Ashley with the virus and send her back to America... Causing serious problems. Basically, throughout the course of the game, you fight villagers with pitchforks, axes, and... yes... even chainsaws. This game will have you cracking up one instant and screaming in terror the next.

well, nothing much is needed to say about this game except that it is amazing beyond belief. when i first got my ps2 it came with the RE4 game. i didnt think much at first... as a matter of fact, i didnt start playing it till months after having my ps2.. i didnt think it was going to be that fun but it's actually pretty addicting..... if you thought those game boy pokemon games were addicting when you were a kid just wait till you play this...
