Die Evil European Bastards DIE!!!!!
If you like killing Blood-thirsty villagers, or takeing out Mysterious warshipers who are just bad news in a bad ass castle,
or even annihiliateing a bunch of pshycos who think they're rambo in a remote island. Then you'll love this game. RE4 is just a fun to watch as it is to play. i remember my cousin had it for GC and he asked me if i wanted to watch him play i said "i dont wanna watch a bunch of rambo stuff with nothing but killing" i was wrong this game is a great game after i say wow cool it was i baught it for my self in a ps2 version of course. I remember my dad saw me play it for the first time he thought it was rediculus but after he was all "who is that guy with all those guns" and then later he was all "Come on kill that SOB!!!!". I already beat it twice there are so many extra unlockables like the infanite launcher, a new outfit, movie browser, and so much more.
You must get this game or else you will kill yourself
You must BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!

resident evil 4 was the best of the best after coming out for playstation 2 i was hessitent about buying it until i read the reviews online. i liked how it played off of resident evil 2 and it told you the history of how umbrella was taken down. even aside from all of that the gameplay was awesome, graphics were pushing the ps2 to its limits, i also liked the 3rd person perspective of the game so you could aim where you wanted. Unlike all the others which swithched camera views, this one follows leon straight behind. unlike the other resident evils this one allows you to break down locked doors and shoot flammable objects to damage the enemy. another new feature is the action button not only during gameplay but in cinematics to keep you on your toes it makes the game very intense. with these other features includes loading and saving times are very quick think of outbreak except 1000 times faster. the last feature to be addressed is the new gun merchant who sells you guns , healing items , and can tune up your weapons to make them more efficient. you can also sell found treasures to him for some extra cash. thats it but you will experience much more if you played it yourself. (its worht the money)
Now I know where Ada goes.

I was hesitate to buy this since I already own the NGC version. I thought I ain't buying this just to see some new weapons and some fancy alternate costumes.
But, it was on sale real cheap elsewhere and I gave in and bought it and I'm very glad I did!
Number 1 right off what I liked is this. One, you don't have to get up and change the disc. And, remember all those times Ada would just show up and leave Leon behind? It would always drive me crazy thinking where IS she going. And how does she keep that figure? I like Ada's attitude, she's brilliantly highly intelligent and doesn't take any crap from anyone.
Well, with this version, you get to play as Ada. You will play the game through her experience, and the storyline is much more pieced together. I'd suggest when you get this game and play through it for the first time, you gotta play, "Separate Ways" it'll open up after you play the game for the first time.
It's so cool because I was like, oh, so that's where Ada went and that's why she does that and this. Remember that part where Leon and Ashley ride that ski lift cable car thing, and when you get to the bottom and go up that ladder there is a big stone with flesh blood on it? Well, when you play "Separate Ways" you'll know who's blood that is. Hint, don't let your guard down! Or else....
In other words, when you play as Ada, everything all makes sense. Ada loves Leon for sure and they will never forget each other.
There's more but I don't want to spoil the extras.
I love when Ada says that she studied Krauser's fighting ability and can deal with that arm of his. And that awesome grappler gun she has!
Have fun....
PS
Why was that one villager wearing Leon's jacket? I still can't figure that out yet.

This is probably the best horror game I have ever played! Though I am only thirteen I have played quite a few HORROR GAMES THIS ONE HAS TO BE THE BEST. The graphics are so crisp and an amazing plot to the game. The controls are easy enough for most anybody to learn their first time playing. tHIS IS A MUST BUY!

WOW! This game is way cool the game play is AWESOME! And the combat is INTENSE! But you can't move and shoot at the same time. But other then that this is a great game and I suggest to any one who's looking for a great action shooter game.

Here's the run-down for those who like run-downs. If you're teeter tottering on buying it for PS2 I would say go for it if you are truly a resident evil fan. Rez heads know what I mean just as Silent Hillophiles do. Rez is the blockbuster movie to Silent Hill's independent film. I dont find it the least bit scary, but elements like the improved aiming and watching out for the prez's lil' girl ups the ante in the gameplay department. I dont get those who complain about the aiming schematic, it's way better than the other evils that essentially held your hand when it came to laying down the undead (my main gripe is that headshots dont always drop a mo'fo!). And although there is the ability to shoot an arm or leg, you cannot shoot OFF an arm or leg, which IMO would have added to the gore factor and funfactor. Graphically, I say it kinda falls short. Having never played the GC version, I cant compare it to that, but I've personally seen better water effects in Rise to honor and shadow of the colossus. Also, the textures are terrible. PS2 is beginning to look very dated, and it is. I dont understand everyone raving about how it is one of the best looking titles to date, because it isnt. Maybe its me wanting more from my PS2, but alot of the textures and edges are fuzzy and muddy. That said, the gameplay is what shines on this title, not the looks. I dont like the fact that changing weapons and such still requires one to PAUSE THE ACTION to do so...switching guns on the fly is alot more fun, and can result in a long stretch of heart pounding action as opposed to the "wait a sec, let me get my rocket launcher to kill you guys" scenario! Just a thought. Also, upgrading some weapons is a waste of time as youll end up selling them when better weapons come along to conserve space! This forces you to really think about what you want to carry in your inventory, as you only have THAT MUCH SPACE! but I believe this was intentional...
Overall, I bought it due to all the acclaim, and I've been a fan of the series. the improvements are found more in the game play and less in the graphics. At first, I yearned for zombies, but the villagers arent that much different. They are alot less gory, but when their heads pop open to reveal weirdness, it did put a smile on my face. Those crazy guys at Capcom!

The fourth installment of Capcom's pivotal "Survival Horror" series continues on Nintendo GameCube and PS2. The title takes place in 2004 some six years after the events that transpired in Resident Evil 2. The government has destroyed the Umbrella Corporation, which has been behind just about every plot and disgusting bio-chemical mutation in the survival horror series. Now-US agent Leon Kennedy (of Resident Evil 2 fame) has been dispatched to Europe to save the President's daughter from "crazed organizations." RE4 boasts some of the most impressive visuals to date on Nintendo's next generation console, and takes the series into the realm of truly three-dimensional gameplay. Stagnant environments found in previous Resident Evil games are replaced by detailed 3D surroundings complete with dynamic camera work.
So if want to new school scary game with a more user friendly combat system this game is for you.

Although the gameplay and graphics are fantastic it lacks the post-apocalyptic feel of Resident Evil 3 or the stark reality of Code Veronica X but what really disappoints is the terrible dialogue. After periods of edge-of-your-seat gameplay some of the things Leon (the main character) comes out with are real mood spoilers, caricatures of the very worst action films, almost to the point of comedy (which isn't intended). This is important because this kind of game is all about mood and anything that spoils the mood spoils the whole game.
That aside its a great addition to the series and one that will keep fans playing for hours. That said, If Capcom were to invest in proper writers this would have deserved 5 stars and be one of the best of its kind.
I LOVE THIS GAME
