Its back... better then ever..

Based on the previous engine, with more enviroments, destructible stages, more stage specific fatalitys, tons of new fatalitys per character... you can even suicide now, before your opponent "finshes" you... looks great.

New characters, old characters, and a new story mode. The trailer is up, and this game looks great....

this game is awesome; a must buy

Mortal Kombat Deception has new features and is even more bad ass then Defiance. There are new characters and more moves. You can be launched by your opponent through differant floors of the level which could mean more fighting or a plummit to certain death. Weapon pick ups make it possible to beat your opponent even more ferociously. Most or all characters have a new look to make them more intimadating and the graphics and sound will blow you away. Mortal Kombat Deception is a must have for 2004!

MK: Reject's Revenge

OK, let's get reall here. At E3, this game rocked, no doubt. But upon closer inspection, you'll find that the character roster completely sucks. I mean, where are the traditional and best MK fighters, including, but not limited to, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Liu Kang (ok, maybe not him, but still), and Kung Lao? Instead, all of the common faces are gone except the overly hyped "ninjas" (ninjas don't wear bright colors, ok?) Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Even Reptile's gone! Nightwolf, Sindel, Kabal, Ermac, and Mileena aren't really names that come to mind when playing MK, unless you are a die-hard fan who also owns and wears vintage MK underwear and has an autograph of that stunt double who played Scorpion hanging on your wall. If you are a fan of the series, you likely will be upset by the inclusion of the rejects that nearly destroyed the series in MK3. (They were ill thought-out and completely uninspired.) However, if you are a casual player, then by all means enjoy, as it is a good game. But for fans who played the game since the beginning, unless you're a complete MK fanatic, this roster will not cut it. They should've named the game MK: Reject's Revenge. That would've been much more appropriate. This game deserves a great score with the inclusion of MK Chess, Konquest Adventure, and Puzzle Kombat, which are great minigames which could honestly stand alone. But it deserves the low score because of the roster. Again, avoid it unless you are new to the series, or worship it.

Well ive been reading a lot about the game recently it seems like a good game with all the features added like death traps, minigames, etc. but what mk reject revenge said was right if the roster sucks whats the point of playing the game if they have lousy characthers in it but you have to remember that gameplay is an important factor so basically what iam saying is dont let what someone else says determine if you buy the game or not

I am not saying that this game will be good nor bad necesarily, I have made this review to express my opinion and viewpoint on what I have grown to understand, injoy, and know Mortal Kombat to be through my own memories and experiences. I'll start my review by asking you the reader to ask yourself if you remeber playing mortal kombat back in the days that it was knew. Wernt the graphices and gamplay excellent for the time, but most of all remember that symplistic 2D gameplay that was found in all fighting at the time. Wasnt it fun, wasnt it interesting seeing all of the characters emotions and moves in exellent detail and viewing them in all there artistic detail. Also dont you rememeber seeing all of there original and classic outfits. And dont forget the comboes that featured a new level of gamplay with there furry and unrealistic speed and powere.
NOW lets go back to the modern age of gameing, arnt you thinking oh its so great that they are releasing a new mortal kombat game, Oh the new outfits are so cool the new characters are so cool the new gamplay is so cool, BUT stop, now if nothing is the same as it used to be exepnt maybe a few of the same moves and a few of the same character is it truely the same game is it really the same axpereince but just a modification.THE ANSWERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT this is NOT the same game it is a cold shell of a game taking on the form of an old classic that WILL NEVER AND CAN NEVER reach the level of memmorable brilliance. BUT then again thats just my opinion, if you liked deadly alliance I hope you do have fun with this game.

JUST REMEMBER

If you want to play online- you need a cable modem or dsl conection. Also-for someone who never experienced Mortal Kombat in video parlors and arcades in the 90s- buy this game and experience Mortal Kombat. If your like me and have a girlfriend and a car- someone who did MK during the 90s- this game is nothing more than a rental. I spent 50 hard earned dollars for the last game and it was terrible only 9 charactors.
Find something else to do for 50 bucks like gassing up your car for 5 weeks.

Looking Forward To Playing This Game!

This game im really looking forward too i personally think it will be the best in the series but nobody is sure yet all i know and im sure the rest of you do is that each character will have 2 fatalities with alot of stage fatalities also. I can tell you this will be the most goriest of the mortal combat game which to me is great if your 21 like i am you will love it for somebody that is 13 your parents might have a few things to say about it lol...the stages will also be huge big difference from deadly alliance...besides stage fatalities and fatalities there are other ways to kill people midway really is keeping somethings to themseleves cause they like giving us surpises...all i can say is that deadly alliance could of been alot better but i personally think they are gonna give exactly what there fans want this time around.

FINISH HIM!!!

First I just want to say to the first reviewer-either you are a really annoying white guy that thinks he's black, or a black guy that takes being black to a rediculous level. Anyway, I played a demo of this game at the E3 Expo and it is awesome!! The graphics are amazing and the actual gameplay is smooth as silk YO! The new mini games are a redemption to the previous release which was really sad. There's alot of new cool characters, like the guy (can't remember his name) that has the blindfold on, he's a bada$$!! When it comes out, if you're skeptical, rent it, but you end up buying it as long as you have enough buds to play with or have a broadband connection. Either way, this blows away all previous titles.
