Mortal Kombat Deception

This is my second favorite game on MK next to Shaolin Monks. It has a battle system very simmilar to deadly alliance except it has more fatalities. now this game doesn't have goro but another big guy to replace him. You start off with a beginner martial artist then go to different realms learning more styles. I rate this game 5 stars because the battle system is very accurate and it has A nice storyline.

Mortal Kombat is really back!

I've been a fan of Mortal Kombat since the first, that i've played at the arcades and that i owned later in snes, i got also the trilogy for the ps1. This game redefines the fighting style, a lot of characters, 2 different fighting style per character plus a weapon fighting style, you can combine all three styles in combos, you also have the konquest mode that is great, very different from deadly alliance, and you can play the game over the internet, if you think the computer cannot beat you anymore you can go and find your true match over the internet, and if you have the usb headset, you can talk to your rival also. A great game with incredible graphics and amazing sound, and of course incredible fatalities. And i'm not talking about the content, you can unlock hundreds of pictures and movies to enjoy. If you like the MK series, then get it, you won't regret it.

Excellent!

Please don't show this game to Hilary Clinton.
All jokes aside, this game a bloody good time, pun intended. It is completely different than all of the other MK games out there. It allows you to switch between fists and weapons, plus the special moves are much easier to figure out this time around. The only minor gripe that I have is that, in order to do combos, you have to push the buttons impossibly fast, which results in blisters(occasionally).
The blood is over the top, the gameplay is great and the fatalities are incredibly fun. It is probably the best MK ever.

I remember playing the first of these games when they were still new. It's fun, and exciting. What I like about these games, is while there is fighting and the main purpose of the game is to inflict pain upon your opponent, you use fictional characters and you don't kill just to kill. There is a storyline to it, which makes it better than a game where you just walk around and shoot random people. I've always loved this game. Very fun, and it can be stress relieving.

A bit too much blood but great fighting game

It's a great game, I think there may be too much blood since the same quantity appears with each blow, it would improve if the ammount of blood depends of the blow and the place it connects.

The idea of each character having up to 3 combat styles makes the game more diverse and can add a bit more of strategy when fighthing, just like the 2 extra games.

The final boss in the arcade is incredibly tough, but it has a fighthing pattern, once you realize that you can beat him.

The Konquest game used it to unlock characters and other stuff is well done, not my favorite way to unlock stuff but it is well done.

The online fighting, the main reason I bough the game works -ok-, I think the guys at Gamespy should improve their bandwidth since I got a good conection and sometimes I get poor performance fithing online and I'm talking fighting against people with more than 3 stars whihc means that they're supose to have good connections.

Great MK Game

This is one great Mortal Kombat game. It has the classic arcade style which challenges how good of a fighter you are. It also has a fun story mode which helps you to master the other character moves and meet some interesting characters. The fatalaties are very cool and not to difficult to do. The hari-kari, a type of fatalaty in which after you are defeated you commit suicide are a nice little touch too. It has chess which is fun and some other little mini games but in my opinion they are not that much fun. There is the crypt again which is used to unlock characters, combat arenas, and costumes along with other things. All in all this is a very fun game and I really enjoyed it.

if anyone loves mortal kombat deadly alliance, they'll love this game better. the makers of this game brought back the old characters such as jade, mileena, baraka, kabal, and many more. the graphics are great, the fatalities are great, and the puzzle kombat and chess kombat are superb. all mk fans should buy this game.

OUTSTANDING!!!

Mortal Kombat returns for the PlayStation 2 with a great story line that an unsuspecting evil has returned with vengence.
This game features:
"Konquest Mode" where you play Shujinko,a boy who wants to be a MK warrior wanna be.He must do training with some MK warriors along his way.

"Puzzle Kombat" is like those Tetris classics but MK style.

"Chess Kombat" where you and a player choose any MK warrior and beat the heck out of em.

"Interactive Battle Arenas" where you can punch or kick a person through a wall.

"Death Traps" is where you push a warrior through a sharp or boiling trap.

This is the kind of game that you should buy.But don't let your Kung Fu styles hurt other people.

The best of Mortal Kombat

This is most likely the best MK game ever made. It has a great variety of classic and up-to-date characters, plus the graphics are perfect. Another great thing about this game are it's many different modes, such as chess kombat, puzzel kombat, and konquest mode. Just like in MKDA, you can unlock stuff from the krypt. This game even has a playable demo of midway's upcoming title Area 51, which looks pretty good. Lastly, the gameplay is flawless with each character having 3 different fighting modes, just like in MKDA.

have people forgotten the glory of 2D

I am not saying that this game will be good nor bad necesarily, I have made this review to express my opinion and viewpoint on what I have grown to understand, injoy, and know Mortal Kombat to be through my own memories and experiences. I'll start my review by asking you the reader to ask yourself if you remeber playing mortal kombat back in the days that it was knew. Wernt the graphices and gamplay excellent for the time, but most of all remember that symplistic 2D gameplay that was found in all fighting at the time. Wasnt it fun, wasnt it interesting seeing all of the characters emotions and moves in exellent detail and viewing them in all there artistic detail. Also dont you rememeber seeing all of there original and classic outfits. And dont forget the comboes that featured a new level of gamplay with there furry and unrealistic speed and powere.
NOW lets go back to the modern age of gameing, arnt you thinking oh its so great that they are releasing a new mortal kombat game, Oh the new outfits are so cool the new characters are so cool the new gamplay is so cool, BUT stop, now if nothing is the same as it used to be exepnt maybe a few of the same moves and a few of the same character is it truely the same game is it really the same axpereince but just a modification.THE ANSWERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT this is NOT the same game it is a cold shell of a game taking on the form of an old classic that WILL NEVER AND CAN NEVER reach the level of memmorable brilliance. BUT then again thats just my opinion, if you liked deadly alliance I hope you do have fun with this game.
