This game's amazing

I know what you're thinking: They have gone insane.
Sqaure and Disney? Working together? No way! but, contrary to popular belief this game was, as i said, amazing. It perfectly meshed together the most different of disney worlds (Alice in Wonderland + The night before Christmas?), along with the Final Fantasy feel. There were only 2 and a half things in this game that gamers around the world found to be utterly inconvient: The camera angles, which were incredibly tricky to control in battle (i had to lock on in every battle) and the gummi ship, which was an UNAVOIDABLE minigame that was totally out of place.
When i said 2.(half) the half were the occaisonal disney lines, such as "The heart may be weak, and sometimes, it my even give in, but i've learned that deep down there's a light that never goes out!" which were peevish and extremly funny at the same time. but the graphics, gameplay, music (Utada Hikaru rocks), and story make up for that. All in all, this game gets a 4 outta 5 because i'm sure that if you like FF games, you should at least try this game. If it turns out that you do like it, then you'll just have to line up behind other rabid fans who await the release of Kingdom Hearts 2. Yoshi. XD

Kingdom hearts with final fantasy characters is awesome

Whoa!!!! Am I dreaming that kingdom hearts have all these diffrent disney characters. I never thought that final fantasy would be in this game. For all those favorite final fantasy fans this has those of charaters. The charaters included Cloud,Tidus,Selphie,Wakka,Aerith[who is really aeris],yuffie, leon[I think],and my favorite sephiroth-the supreme devil of some games. The fresh smell of adventure. How cool is getting to fight Cloud in one on one battle with a new look and awesone blade. The cooler thing is that he is more of a hunter than a good charater in kingdom hearts. Yes,and of course sephiroth. He is the most devastating character in the game who is the hardest boss in the game. Not only that but their swords are much greater than sora's. It would be even better if you could obtain these weapons of such great might. Sora's new punchline:FEAR ME MORTALS. Sweet deal. Don't take the final fantasy charaters as so simple.

Something suddenly came over me...

I wrote little comment about Kingdom Hearts earlier, but if it didn't show up, I was basically talking about the storyline.
Well...I thought a little about this game. I still really love it! There was just one catch that made me hate parts of the game. The only reason I put effort into this part of the game was so I could get through it faster.

The Gummi Ship.

The default gummi ship looks like something a preschooler created out of tinkertoys. In fact, all of them look like that. The gummi ship was a complete waste of time, when Sora, Donald, and Goofy should've been able to telepathically warp to worlds. That would've been a way better idea. I also hate some of the worlds-toatally despise them.

Worlds like Destiny Islands are fun, playing fun little collecting games and beating up cute, bubbly Final Fantasy characters. Then the Disney worlds come into the game, and geez, I can't stand some of it!!!

Wonderland: My least favorite world. I'm stomping on these keys on the keyboard right now just thinking about Wonderland. You try to save Alice even though you had nothing to do with her. And if she was killed, Maleficant's final keyhole will remain incomplete, therefore ending the madness. Plus the level is insane, for your just walking around in circles that all lead back to the Queen's Castle or Lotus Forest. There's basically a small amount of rooms, Rabbit Hole, Bizzare Room, Queen's Castle, Lotus Forest, and Tea Party Garden. But they're arranged in such an aggravating way by turning the room on it's side or turning it upside down. This is the most irritating world because of it's eerie landscape, flowers that give you presents you already have and don't need if you give them something even better in exchange, the boss is only vulnerable 10% of the fight, and all the heartless you have to beat along the way are harder to beat than Sora. The worst world in the game!

Then there's Atlantica. It won't sound familiar at first, but when you hear the world's tune, you'll know what it is right away. Ursula is like, 2X's harder than clayton and the Stealth Sneak combined on expert mode. This world should've been rearanged with Neverland. You need, like, 8 MP just to beat an octopus! And swimming around is even more complicated than Wonderland! Everything except Ariel's Grotto looks exactly the same! This was another world too hard to navigate in.

Come to think of it, why does he even "lock" the worlds in the first place, to save a friends heart? He's sealing an oversized kehole too big for the keyblade, but why? The Heartless just return to the world after you seal it, nothing is safe!

The Deep Jungle and Agrabah are also very annoying. The only fun and decent worlds to play in are Destiny Islands, Traverse Town, Halloween Town, and Neverland. Every other world needed some major fixes. But these worlds did not need fixing whatsoever and were very creative and smoothly moved along, not to mention Destiny Islands and Traverse Town had the only good music I could listen to all day!

Overall rating: 4-5 star ratio; the game could've been much better, and hopefully Kingdom Hearts 2 will bring that.

When I first saw this game i thought it had to be one of the Stupidiest, dumbest, lamest games ever because the fact
it had Disney Characters in it. I would hear people talk about it
and how fun it is, and i thought they were crazy because the game looked to dumb. But when i found out my cousin had it i was shocked, since he isnt the childish gamer type. He said it was a cool RPG game. So i played and i was so wrong for badmouthing this game, it is so awesome! I bought it right after i got the new thin ps2, i havnt beaten it yet, but this game is so awesome!

I have seen the bad reviews that this game got here. A lot of those people seem to be seriously overanalyzing it, though. This is a video game. I am 25 years old and I enjoy playing games like Rogue Galaxy and Dark Cloud for the PS2, Guitar Hero for 360, Rock Band, and We Love Katamari. I like this game because I enjoy seeing various Disney characters incorporated into a game that is not for 5-year-old children. There are some levels that are frustrating, such as the infamous Alice in Wonderland world where you have to figure out how to get through it with a lot of trial and error. This game isn't too difficult to play. I get tired of playing really hard games where you have to think a lot. Sometimes it's nice to play something you don't have to think about. If you don't like semi-youth-oriented games, then this probably isn't for you, but there are a lot of people who have enjoyed this game. The graphics on the cut scenes are some of the most beautiful that I have seen for PS2, much in the style of Final Fantasy. Anyway, this isn't a game to take too seriously. This might not even end up being your favorite video game, but that doesn't mean that you might not enjoy it.

My 14-year-old daughter played this game for two hours, shuddered, groaned, erased the file from her memory card, put the disk away in its box with the air of a night nurse cleaning up after an unfortunate accident, and washed her hands up to the elbow. It's sad to see Disney trying to inculcate good buying habits (buys Disney, get it?) in the very young, and comical to see a kid raise her eyebrow, frown, and grok the entire situation in a sudden furious flash. Sorry, but Disney's "crown jewels" can't compete with Final Fantasy XII (or even X). How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've seen Valley of the Winds? And Square Enix should be ashamed of themselves for soiling their own brand.
