Rockstar: Best Game Publisher

Ok, I just want to start off by saying that the MAVV orginazation has it's priorities wrong. First of all it should be Mothers Against Violence on Earth: MAVE. Secondly, "Mothers" against violence in videogames doesn't make any sence. There is a reason for the ESRB: to inform the public about content of video games before they make a purchase. "Mothers" are now able to check the back of a game and see what the content of a game is. If it has "Nudity", "Strong Sexual Content", "Strong Intense Realistic Violence", "Drug use", "Blood and Gore", or "Strong Language" on it, than a "Mother" shouldn't buy it for her six-year-old for Christmas. Mothers shouldn't be complaining about general violence in video games, they just need to shut up and shelter their children from the realities of this planet. Ok, now onto GTA. Folks, Rockstar just tells it how it is. The world is full of violence, and if we could, we'd all be taking each others cars and gunning eachother down with M4's and Shotguns, but that's why we have a justice system, right? Anyway, San Andreas is an entire state (well, it's probably Hawaii sized) containing three main cites each bigger than Vice City, and possibly a dozen small towns (Blueberry, Palamino Creek, Fort Carson, Dillimore, Angel Pine, and more). The main cities resemble Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and Las Vegas. This game really is a masterpiece. The range of vehicles is extremely overwhelming. You can also play pool, basketball, roulette, blackjack, and do some other things like date girls with a blue arrow over their head. You buy new clothes, modify cars (hydrolics on a farming pickup truck YES!). There's just so much to do. Bigfoot is even rumored to be in the woods, just like he is in America. Funny. Let me get back onto the subject of Rockstar again. They make games for adults. Adults go to work, come home tired, and the ones that play video games can now release their stress, mainly in Rockstar games, which is why I love them so much. I think the more realistic and satisfying violence is in games will possibly help stop actual violence. I mean that if you can kill, steal, and rob realistically in a game, why do it in real life?

Graphics aren't everything but.............

This game is just a larger version of GTA 3 and Vice City with a few gimmicks thrown in. It still suffers from many problems which may not bother some but totally take me out of the game.

The game is graphically poor maybe even below the quality in Vice City. I couldn't imagine putting in the 40+ hours required to finish this game as it gets old in a hurry.

However, Who can blame Rockstar. I'm sure they'll milk the GTA cashcow for all it's worth. Maybe the next entry can have a little less size and a little more polish.

Come on guys. I know giving mad props to these high profile games adds some cashflow to your websites but let's not get crazy here.

I don't understand some people griping about the fact that you're black in the game. It's ok to play an alien in some games, but not ok to be a black human? For me, I couldn't care less what race I'm playing as long as the gameplay is fantastic. GTA3 and VC were top-notch games that deserve highest praise.

I can't wait for this game to come out. GTA rules!

Ok.Ok Don't get me wrong Grand Theft Auto was an exceptional game with the 2001 release of grand theft auto 3.but thats about it.grand theft auto 3 was the best game in the series.End of story.

whats wrong with Gta:vice city and sna andreas is that they are they are repeats of gta3 with extras.The gameplay is the exact same.the only thing that has seemed to have changed were the characters and the areas.

But don't get me wrong the gameplay is still highly addicting.the graphics are way better than gta3 but its merely the same gameplay as gta3.if you have never played a gta than i recommend this but if you have played gta3 and vice city you really don't need this.

This is by far the best one yet.

I received Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Christmas and have not been able to stop playing. Graphics, story, EVERYTHING is A+++. I have all the previous Grand Theft auto games, and the continually get better and better with each one.

And this one seems to have so MUCH MORE! One of the greatest things about the game is the fact that you can work for yourself (by completing mini missions like the taxi, ice cream truck, etc to earn money) or you can work for others to gain respect and cash.

A couple big differences in this game is you have to eat, build muscles and stamina (by exercising at the gym or running on foot), buy different clothes, and you can swim if you crash into the water.

A few cons to the game:

* The icons on the map are on the bottom left of the screen are very very small; it is pretty difficult to read. You can access a bigger map by hitting the start button.

* Prepare your family and friends for your seclusion, because after you start playing this game, you won't want to stop. Be sure they know it's not them, it's you.

* The music and dialogue is realistic and good, but definitely for an adult ear. Be forewarned there is a ton of profanity and all kinds of innuendo.

All in all, A+, 5 stars, can't wait to get home and start playing again!

With a better version than on PS2 probably March 2005... JUST LIKE GTA DOUBLE PACK, WHERE IT TOTALLY BLEW THE PS2 VERSION AWAY. And Xbox has the best slection of games by far and the best RPGS, not just the best FPS (though it does have those). Star Wars KOTOR, Fable, etc. THOSE BLOW AWAY FINAL FANTASY. Not that I hate FF. I totally respect the series, and its a great series btw, but it just doesent compare to xbox rpgs. I STILL HAVE A PS2 AND XBOX BUT XBOX IS BETTER BY FAR. But PS2 is a decent system because it has a great exclusive game like, uh, whats exclusively good on ps2 and only on ps2? cant think of anything now but, uh, whatever... I DIDNT GIVE IT 5 STARS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE BECAUSE ITS NOT OUT YET, BUT ILL PROBABLY REVIEW IT AGAIN WHEN IT COMES OUT, AND GIVE IT WHAT IT DESERVES WHICH WILL PROBABLY BE A 5/5 CUZ IT LOOKS SO COOl! btw by reading a preview on this site i just learned you can swim so cool.

Have you ever played Driver 2? Well...the graphics in San Andreas looks identical to it! I can't believe Rockstar put this sh*tty product out! Vice City's graphics were outstanding on the Xbox(even on the PS2, but not as good)and much sharper than San Andreas! Good word of advice for Rockstar: Stick with Microsoft...and leave that Zero(PS2)alone! The PS2 is dead!!!!!
You got a problem with this review?......Take it personal. I'm headed back to Vice City(Xbox style). This was a false alarm.

I think this game is going two be better then.. -Vice City..
quite frankly. -I don't care what color the charactor is..

Rumors about San Andreas have been kicking around ever since the word San Andreas was invented it seems, but most of them are incorrect and will never happen. This section has been made to put some of the rumours that seem possible, but haven't been confirmed yet.
I won't just post a rumor if someone sends me something saying "There are flying monkeys and talking giraffes in the next GTA game!!!!!!". Obviously if they seem probable then I may post them, but proof would be very helpful.

The only facts given by Rockstar North themselves are the following:

"The next GTA Game will be Grand Theft Auto San Andreas."
"It will take place in San Francisco."
"It will be set in modern day."

All the rest of the rumours you've probably heard are false.(...)
