Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite games of all time, and apparently I am not alone. It is the first FF to ever get a sequal. It looks like its going to be excellent, I can't wait for the new elements, such as the return of the job system (sort of). I hope this new one can keep up with its predecessor!
if ther first one was good imagin these one!!!!!!!

Final Fantasy X-2
Never has there even been a attempt to make a sequal to the game.
You can choose your party members and have them be whatever class you want!! and the graphics in the screenshots are spectacular.
is gone to be a fantastic game
My two cents.

Okay. I absolutly love Final Fantasy and all. But why Squaresoft? Okay, the graphics are great. I will admit that, but the storyline is just bad. Well, to me anyway. I never liked FFX in the first place, it was one of those games in which I could play it for 10 minutes, get bored of it, stop, then come back later and play another 10 minutes. I bought it last year, and I still have yet to beat it! I know the ending because I just went on KaZaA and downloaded it. I just could not finish the game. The ending was okay, from what I saw. But the question is.. why make a sequel!? If you were to make a sequel to a FF game, it should have been 7. Ever since 8.. everything has gone down the drain, even though I liked Kingdom Hearts and FF9. I'm sorry, but unless you just like pretty light shows and [weak] voice overs, then you will not like this game, or you might. What do I know? I gave it 3 stars, because of it's pretty lights ^_^;;

First of I know you heard all of da good and bad reviews of da game and people really can't make up their minds. So I am writing a review about the TRUTH of da game. First of all if you are an experienced RPG player then this game is on da easy side. The only tough bosses are the bosses you face in the final chapter in some minigame like Black Element who if you let him is a real cheater and Azi Daahaka who is a biss in my opinion or in truth Way tougher then the final boss who you could guess who it is. Next the sidequets most I actually like most blitzball is DA WORST. I still don't know how to play. I mean Spherebreak os alright but only cause I like math. Next is da players who are girls which I have no problem with. I do however have a problem with the way they act. I mean handle them or just Raiku being girly but that girly I mean GOD that girly requires more patience then I'll ever have. Last stragy which there is almost none because like I said da game is on da easy side. And here some advice don't bother mastering a only rack of Dressspheres because nothing good happens when you do. But I will some good things about da game which is why it has three stars. Lets see... the music but I just have a weakness fo that electric guitar. Next hmmm can't say graphics or storyline because you have to be a nerd to rated games on that so I would say repayable which it does have and longivity or something like that. Even though 45 hours is almost the time it take to beat Golden Sun a GBA RPG. Last just providing a small as it may be challege or maybe I just overtrained them but level 70 when finishing da game I don't is overtraining them. That's that I just wrote this review so people don't false data like some people wrote.
What comes next?

Since the theme of Final Fantasy X was "death," it's only logical that the theme of Final Fantasy X-2 should be "moving on." It's the classic problem so often papered over in fantasy novels: once the world has been saved and the Big Bad has been taken care of, what happens now?
A lot of people dismissed this game offhandedly without giving it a fair shake, either because of "that's not exactly what I was expecting so it's bad" boneheadedness or because they saw three female characters and 70's-esque music and decided it had to be lightweight. While this is the most upbeat Final Fantasy title since the original, that's not necessarily a flaw.
More to the point, you've got much more option for roleplaying in this game than in most FF titles. While there are specific places you have to go to advance the storyline, there's still a whole world to explore with lots of things happening everywhere you go. You decide what to get involved in, and your choices influence the story.
The unfortunately-named "Dressphere" system allows you to change character class in the middle of battle. You arrange character class icons on a chart (many charts are available), and then move between adjacent icons as you need to, swapping abilities in and out. Some charts even have special icons on them, so you gain abilities merely by moving around. This gives you a lot of freedom in battle and some cool tactical options -- what classes will I need for this fight, and how do I arrange them so I have access to what I need when I need it?
I will say this. If you only like Final Fantasy games because of their magic robots and evaluate characters based solely on how "bad***" they are, you may not like this game. This is a game about saving the world in which you kill things with swords, not a game about killing things with swords where you incidentally save the world. There's politics and religion and philosophy, and not a lot of continents blowing up.
Is it a true sequel?

Well, first of all it might be a disappoint for some fans of the game Final Fantasy X. But I've gotta say, it was entertaining and fun. Yuna, Riku, and the new character Paine are on different missions finding spheres, (they are sphere hunters by the way) and trying to find the most important person to Yuna...him.
The graphics, (of course) are amazing. The people look realistic and the background was nicely detailed. It's not much different from Final Fantasy X but there are not as much FMV's as FFX. Some places have been changed and is very nice and detailed such as Kilika.
The music wasn't what I expected. It's mostly a pop like music filled with some piano pieces and stuff. There is singing in this which Jade did an excellent job of. Nobuo Uematsu pieces are amazing to say so myself.
The gameplay is different. You go around in differnet places in Spira collecting spheres and discovering the mysteries behind everything. When you are in a battle, it's faster pace where you have to fight faster and need to think quick on what you should do for your next move. There are many fiends but some of them are the same from FFX. The bosses are challenging. There are no aeons, sphere grids, overdrives, especially you only play as three characters. They do have dresspheres which you can use during battles. Different kinds like alchemist, gunner, white mage, etc. You level up in different categorys.
Overall it's worth the money, especially the price right now $15.95. It's a pretty long game and it's divided into 5 chapters. There are mini games to do and sidequests. Replay? Maybe, if I messed up on a part. You can also get 100% completion in the game to get the secret ending which is nice.
A new for the series and very well done

Well there is alot of new, never done before stuff for a final fantasy game. For example: Its the first to have a female leading character, also the on the fly job system (known as the garmet grid) where the girls not only change jobs but also change outfit they have on (often very sexy clothing), and other new things that I won't dwell on. This is also a love story so to speak (yuma hunting for her lost love), and I know what some of you thinking "how can a sappy love story be fun," well it is... I love this game.
You destroyed Spira!

Well! Where do I start?? I'll start by saying that I am a pretty big fan of Final Fantasy. I've played and beaten FF 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10. So, when I first heard that FFX was going to have a sequal, I was pretty pumped! I really thought that this was going to be an all out FF game that continued where FFX left off. Boy did SquareEnix ever let me down. This game is terrible and a disgrace to all FF games.
First off, FFX was an alright game, but it did have a few problems, so I figured this would fix all that and amaze me. Yuna's voice actor has AMAZINGLY improved with this game. Her voice was super annoying in the first game. But at the same time, this causes a problem: Square completely tore up all the characters, glued them together again, and then tore them up again just for fun! how is it AT ALL believable that Yuna (and the entire world for that matter) changed THAT much. like, they didnt even believe in technology one minute, and now they are having like pop music concerts with all this high tech visual equipment. and , like, yuna goes from being a priests daughter type figure, to a complete skank! ( but she kind of acts like a 5 year old girl). anyway, back to things about this game i liked. the battle system was also great. its the kind of battle system you can really have fun with. but by the end of the game, i was so annoyed with all the dress spheres and trying to get all the abilities. this game just goes to show how low some ppl can go. like it is so obvious that square was just looking for some extra money. they just put the main characters in some skimpy outfits to get some typical males to buy the game. its like they dont even care about the real fans anymore.
this game does a very very poor job of continuing the storyline from FFX. the game is divided into 5 chapers ( i think) at the END of each chapter, something significant will happen. but then after that, you have to go thru an entire chapter b4 anythign significant will happen again! you could stream ur way thru this game, but then u dont get much out of it. so basically, to get thru a chapter, u have to visit every location on the planet and do these stupid missions which are really boring and annoying. then FINALLy you get a taste of real storyline, only to be thrust back into doing boring missions. urgh! it makes me so mad. the story isnt even that good. its just the lamest crap they could come up with to make some extra money. god!
all square cares about anymore is making their games look nice.(the graphics and sound are great, really) they just dont care about making their games REALLY good anymore. urgh! and i hate this stupid "annoying little girl" attitude they all have. Square, you compltely destroyed Spira. i hope your happy! this game is just a bunch of boring gameplay and too little story. i didnt even WANT to master this game. like usually i will try bcuz i love playin the game, but this games gameplay just sucked! i didnt even bother. i beat the game, and left it. its just not worth it.
for a good time, go and buy final fantasy 7 or 8. they are good!
Every other FF was heart-warming.Wut would make this 1 diffr

it sucked, seriosuly. i look back on it and just laugh. i mean, seriously. i have to admit that i never liked Yuna. in ffx( which i still haven't finished XD), she came off as a wuss to me. but i had SOME respect for her. in ffx-2, she came off as a scandily dressed, gun-loving, still wussy...sap. how do you go from quiet, nice summoner to singing sensation. (though i didn't really like her song anyway).
the fighting was different. instead of just siting there waiting for you to make a move, it's active gameplay. whoch isn't bad, just different.
i stopped playing after a while because i just found the plot to be incredibly weak and kind of unrelated to ffx (at least, from what i'd played so far). everyone's outfit, 'cept the guys, are kind of slutty. LeBlanc, or w/e, is the worst. some of the game was just stupid, like giving LeBlanc a massage...
if you're expecting a good sequel to a great game, you're out of luck.
