I don't know why half these people hate the game, they are so stupid. There are amazing graphics, crazy action, and you can so many cool moves. All my friends own this game and they like it too. There is no problem, at first it was to dark, but if you set gamma, contrast, and brightness to the center, it is perfect. When I first bought this game, I was like WOW, this game is too good to be true. There are 3 skill levels, so this game is good for anyone. It is easier to understand if you see the movie. Even if you don't like the movie you'll love the game. It is completely different from the movie, because you play as Ghost and Niobe. They have some different missions, and some the same. Ghost is easier because you man the car gun instead of driving. The only bad thing about the game is tha you have to cheat to get multiplayer, although that's not so bad. You should rent the game first to see if you like it. That is what I did. BUY THIS GAME!!
Great Game, but Don't Buy.

Sure. I rented this game. It was a blast. You can run on walls. Fight like the matrix people really fight. However, you get really tired of fighting cops. THe game to me was kind of short. Took me around three hours. Rent this one.
Enter the Matrix at your own risk.

This game is to be commended on a few things. 1)It's ability to show you what their was no time to show in The Matrix Reloaded film. 2)The amazing film like quality of the cut-scenes that actually do give some insight into the events of the film. (P.S. Be sure to beat Seraph for the most revealing part of the entire game) 3)It does help one to live the fantasy of actually being in the movie. You can do all the neat things you've seen in the movie and it provides a bit of a rush if you're REALLY into the matrix films.4)The in-game graphics are decent enough and the environments look really cool. 5)The fighting can vary enough so it's not boring, the gun play is wicked cool, and nothing feels finer than destroying an army of military men with your one man/woman army.
Now onto the bad, for this game IS very flawed.
1)While the cut-scenes are incredible the game graphic cut scenes are a joke, you laugh as they switch from real life to cut scene and how ugly it really looks.
2)The Driving car, and logos levels (Especially the final logos level which is unbelievably glitchy and it's impossible to see where you are going, in the Niobe game.) feel rushed and rather than add a vary in the game playing they become tedious and boring levels you wish would end so you can resume having fun again.
3)It does feel rushed at times, and the levels (the airport, the sewer, and the powerplant for example) sometimes seem to just go ON AND ON with no end in sight, they easily grow tiresome and you again just wish it to end so you can resume having fun.
4)The automatic save feature picks alot of strange places and times to save, while it is convenient so that you don't have to play an entire level again, it seems to happen too frequently and can at times feel slow.
This is a split down the middle choice. It is better than 90% of all movie to game translations, but it is in no way perfect. Only get this if you love the matrix movies, and can let go of these flaws in order to live out the movie. It can be fun alot of the times, and has a great deal of cool moments where you break into fights and they punch out the techno music. Those make it a worth while purchase in the end.
P.S. It ends as abrutly as the film did. Very anti-climactic. Although the Revolutions trailer in the game is far superior to the one playing in theatres.
Great Game

This game is incredible. You start off as either Niobe or Ghost, two members of a small team of rebels against the matrix, much like (if you saw the first movie) the team of Morpheous, Neo, Trinity, and others. You're sent on a number of missions, from retreiving a package in a post office to planting a bomb. During these missions you are able to, like in the movie, move in slow motion as you perform supernatural aerobics and kung-fu. Running on walls, dodging bullets, cartwheeling while shooting, and jumping across buildings are some of the many things you can do while in slow-motion, called "using your focus" in the game. If you play this game on easy mode with one character, it may seem a bit short for you, but there's still secrets to unlock and harder settings to play with that will keep you interested for a long period of time. I highly recommend this game to anybody who liked the Matrix.

Normally I don't write reviews because most of them seem to be written by the 13 or younger crowd, but I loved the Matrix Movies and am extreamly disapointed with this game!
The actual game is great, and the hacking although difficult, can be masterd with a few code downloads from various interent sites, but if you are playing as Nirobe on the PS2 version, GLITCHES MAKE IT IMMPOSSIBLE TO FINISH THIS GAME!!!
There's a scene called "Catching a Plane" shortly after the tunnels where she has to rescue Axel from a plane. After a great gun fight and with the help of Victor, your led through a door into a second hangar and down a series of ladders to the plane where Axel is.
As she runs toward the plane, the PS2 version freezes up EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
In an attempt to analyze the problem, I rented the game and borrowed a friends copy with his memory card. Both copies did the same thing. We even tried to play his game on his sytem to the same point and the exact same thing happend.
Its a great game until that point so keep your reciepts for possible exchanges later.
Keep in mind that I've only played with Nirobe, but even if Ghost game dosen't freeze, I payed for the entire game not just his!
My overal reccomendation? DO NOT BUY THE PS2 VERSION. Pick up the GC or X-BOX versions instead.
You'll be glad you did!

This is a very good game. It is almost like the movie. One of the cool things about it is that you can do the matrix and all of the cartwheels and wall-running and kung-foo that they do in The Matrix and THE Matrix Reloaded.Enter the Matrix has a good plot, and keeps you on your toes. The first "Boss" (which is a S.W.A.T. helicopter) is a bit hard, though. Another highlight is that you get to battle agents. If you put it on Easy, then it is pretty easy, but just easy enough so you can keep going. A bit confusing at times, though. Defenitely a must-get. Although I would reccomend seeing The Matrix Reloaded before playing it.
If you dont then it will be a little confusing.
It got me powered up!

One of the things I liked about this game was that you get to choose your character. Be either a girl or a guy. Control is a little tricky at first but you get used to it after the first level. The game was kind of short. I finished it in one day.
You get to do a lot of stuff in this game including sneaking up and choking people. A part that I didn't like was the Agents. When I fired at them they just dodged the bullets. Hand to hand combat - no good. Took me down right away. So I ended up just running away. That worked.
You got to play this game! You'll have lots of fun.
