Started off fun, but was a chore to finish...

The game started off fun - beating up postal employees, police, swat; picking-up many different kinds of fun guns along the way; and the car chases were pretty cool, too. But towards the middle and end of the game you are simply running through various city mazes to avoid agents, which you can not beat by fighting them, you can only avoid them and get to your next destination. And the last two stages on board the ship "the Logos" there is virtually nothing to do. And the end of the video game just sets up the last movie in the trilogy. And I didn't really care for all of the cut scenes of which some of them were quite long. They used actual footage from the 3rd Matrix movie in some cases, which was probably pretty cool back when the game came out (it was released before the 3rd movie), but now a few years later not so great. Besides, the 3rd Matrix movie was the only one of the three that I didn't like! So cut scenes from it, not so great! Not to mention that you are playing with either Ghost or Niobe. WHO?! Niobe you might remember as the captain of one of the ships (Will Smith's wife!). But who in the heck remembers Ghost?! Actually, he is a fun character to play with, after you get over the shock that you can't use Neo or Morpheus or Trinity even for that matter! His karate fighting style is cool, but that just makes the end of the game even more bizarre when all you are doing is running away from agents!

Others have mentioned the problems in the game - voice echo and various glitches along the way. I did have to restart the game on one occasion when it froze due to a glitch, but mostly it is still playable without incident.

My main complaint with the game is that it started off fun but became laborious to finish it and then when you do finish the game, it's anticlimactic and you don't unlock anything special by beating the game.

Good and fun but no greater challenges.

Yes theres no neo morpheus or trinity but this game was fun and kinda challenging for some levels that I can't beat. I would say the ending was mostly dissapointing and predictable if you've seen reload. The action was fun the shooting at enimies is somewhat challenging and harder shooting at agent smith or fighting him. Overall I don't think this game is that bad or really boring just has mostly some weak challenges and a short storyline of the game. Maybe in the future they will create a better matrix game with less flaws.

Die hard fans of Matrix

This is a game for the die hard fan of Matrix, it has part of the history that it's not in the movies and that is not in Animatrix. You can play as Ghost or Niobe, each character has it's own levels and ways of doing things. I like the game very much, and the thing is that i bought the game for 2 bucks used here at amazon. You can also play a hacking game, that i thought it was a little silly at first, but it gets interesting and you can spend hours figuring out what to do and what to write next.

Great game but i put 4 stars 'cause path of neo is a better game, but this one is very good also.

to bad the game is not as good as the movie! the game just sucks you would think that all the money and time thay spend on coming up with this game that thay could do better than that. i give the game a one because thay did not have a zero there

I am a huge fan of the first and second sequel to the Matrix. This game was almost a complete disappointment. The first thing that really sucked is that you don't play as Neo or even Morpheus or Trinity!! Now, you tell me how you can make a half-decent Matrix video game without our favorite characters!!! The slow motion features were pretty cool. Some of the levels were really bad but some were alright. The game is pretty fun to fool around with and beat a few times but the storyline is terrible. It's like a little bit of Matrix Reloaded but changed around a lot to make it bad. I thought it was very disappointing but if it wasn't called the Matrix video game and it was another whole thing I would like it much more.

Why does everyone hate this game???????

I hate it when every one of you go "Dis game is nothing comp@R3D TO THE MOVIE! HAR-HAR-HAR!" I loved this game. Not as good as the movie, but by a short hair.

GAMEPLAY: 10/10 Great slo-mo action, and You can play as either Ghost or Niobe. They both rock. :)!

GRAPHICS: 6/10: Not the best, but still good.

SLOW MOTION: 10/10: Sucks that it's limited, but It's still all food. IT's best to shoot in slow mo so then you know who and where you're shooting.

SOUND: Music's great. Dialouge and Sound can be a little corny, though.

OVERALL: Very good. Give it a shot!

your game that i just purchased is no good it doesnot work proper way it freezes on second level all the time it made my son very upset and i assure you i will never use you ever again

I am very pleased with the game. The controls take some getting used to but it is a very responsive set up. The cinematagrophy is some of the best I have seen in a PS2 game. I am an avid Matrix fan as was expecting a disapointmant but I am very pleased. The Physics engine in here for game play is very realistic and the game is very pleasing in all aspects.

As much as i liked the Matrix trilogy, i didn't like this game. I played through the whole game, but i still hated it. If you're looking for a game with bullet time, get a game like Max Payne (even through it's older, i think it's much better).
