This game is awesome! The movie really comes alive when you play this game. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is so diverse that it will never get boring! Even when you beat it you can play it again with another character. This game by far deserves a 5-star rating and nothing else!

This game was really awsome. I'm not sure if it is a movie game because I didnt see the movie. But the game has pretty good graphics and some awsome moves. I love some of the moves like flipping through the air with bullets flying by. Also the charectors have different missons. I don't get why anyone gives this less than 4. There is also a cheat code for multiplayer [at cheatcc.com] ENJOY YOURSELF!!!!!!

GREAT GAME!!!

this game is awesome. I see people complaining and giving 1 or 2 stars but they are wrong this game is great! Even for non-fans of the matrix triology. the hand-to-hand fighting [is great]. Ive had no probs with the camera angle and the darkness of some levels can be annoying but just adjust the brightness on your tv and its fixed. I beat the game on easy in about 6 hours but the two characters (ghost and niobe) have totally different missions so its a different game with each character so far ive only beaten it with niobe and am about halfway with ghost. overall this game is awesome buy it you wont be dissapointed. A NEW ERA OF GAMING!

Great game (A Must have for a die hard Matrix Fan)!

The authors have put a lot into this title. The plot is very good. The Brothers did a good job.

The graphics are great (with the exception of being a little dark, but you can usually push focus momentarily to remedy the shadows and find your way.

The sound is great! Many Sound effects are straight out of the movies.

The Soundtrack (background music) is from the Matrix reloaded and some original but all very professional.

The gameplay is a lot better than I thought it would be! Make sure to read the tips as new tips become available. There are plenty of cool and creative ways of dealing with problems and dispatching bad guys.

I love the whole game with only one exception so far and that is the consold style saves which only allow you to save at predetermined waypoints. This tends to waste some time retracing too footsteps just to solve the problem at hand.

...but like I said to begin with, GREAT GAME!

Simply Amazing

Simply an amazing game. You start off with either Ghost or Niobe at a Post Office in search of a package left by the crew of The Hovercraft Osiris, which was destroyed by a sentinel army on a path to the last human city of Zion. Your quest through the Matrix takes you behind the scenes of what you saw in the movie, piecing together the movies fragments. The movie is incomplete without the game. As Niobe, you are a martial-arts expert, pilot of The Hovercraft Logos, and driver. Ghost is the gunner, good with heavy weapons and rides shotgun as Niobe drives. The game comes to a stunning climax during the power plant level, as you assist Neo and Morpheus on a quest to the source. If you beat Seraph and meet the Oracle, the game gets interesting. You get the fight the Agent Smith swarm. Finally, at the end of the game, you must travel in the ancient tunnels of the real world.

At the end, there is also a trailer for The Matrix: Revolutions.
"It's always nice to have something to look forward to"
"Indeed it is"

The New Standard For All Video Games

This Game is simply amazing, the first of its kind. The video game industry has never seen a game quite like this one. First off, Enter The Matrix, unlike other games modeled after movies, relates in am amazing way to the movie itself. It actually continues with the Matrix storyline. Also, you are able to go through the game with two different characters, each with their own unique abilities. The hacking system on this game was a brilliant idea, it really lets you go indepth into the world that is the Matrix. Some people might be dissapointed that you cant play as Neo, the main character of the movies. But, if you could the game would be way to easy and boring, because of what Neo can do: fly, take out numerous agents, there is really nobody that can beat him. Here is my scale for Enter The Matrix:
GAMEPLAY:10 OUT OF 10
GRAPHICS: 9 OUT OF 10
MUSIC : 9 OUT OF 10
CHARACTERS:10 OUT OF 10
OVERALL : 10 OUT OF 10

A Groundbreaking game for PS2 and for Matrix fans!

If you love the Matrix series and eagerly awaiting for the Metrix Revolutions to come out in November, then you will certainly enjoy and love this game to the full. Rockstar Games took the bullet time idea from The Matrix and put it in Max Payne.Wachowski brothers then took their brilliance into making this game, and flushed out Max Payne's copy cay ideas. Anyways, I'm not here to talk about Rockstar Games' copying techniques, but hear to tell you potential buyers out there, that this game is groundbreaking for the gaming world and a potential mark in video game history.

In the game, you can play as either Ghost or Niobe. Each character has different levels to play with different outcomes in the game. Also, the decisions and choices you make in the game, reflect the outcome of the cutscenes you get to see, so make the right decision! You do get to see some clips from The Matrix Reloaded (awesome semi truck crash sequence followed by the rescue of Morpheus and the Kaymaker from Neo, and the scene where Morpheus kicks the agent off the truck and into the winshield of a car.) When you beat the game, there you can tryout Multiplayer and do some hacking to get infinite life and ammo. The controls are sort of weird to learn at first, but you will soon get the hang of them. The graphics are awesome and couldn't be any better. The fighting moves are spectacular and make you want to fight so bad. Fighting with guns in slow motion bullet time is so awesome, especially when you dive forward and doing flips. You can also run on walls and flip of them to do a damaging kick to the enemies' face.

Overall, Enter the Matrix is simply awesome and a true advanced game to the Sony Playstation history. The only problem with this game is though, is that there are glitches. The reason for this is because they released the game too soon and didn't fix any of the problems. But put that aside and you got yourself an addicting action Matrix game! I hope they make another one.

Enter...the Year's Best PS2 Title!

This highly advanced and enjoyable companion to THE MATRIX trilogy is clearly one of Sony's best games released. Directed by the Wachowski Brothers and developed by Shiny and Atari, ENTER THE MATRIX is a fun-filled, butt-kicking combination of James Bond stealth shooting and Mortal Kombat hand-to-hand combat. Never before have fans seen such enjoyable and addictive interactive gameplay on any console.
ENTER THE MATRIX tells the story of the two officers aboard the hovercraft Logos, Ghost and Niobe. At the game's start, the player chooses one character to use. (Both are good-look for Ghost if you like borderless shooting action, Niobe if you have a greater appreciation for more physical fighting.) The game is about these two talented people trying to uncover the nature of the Thaddeus' demise and further delve into the world of the Matrix.
PROS
-Remarkable, smooth fighting moves.
-Outstanding, impressive graphics.
-Lots of cool guns.
-Bullet-time ("focus")!
-Simple, yet unbelievably effective combat combos.
-Great, involving storyline.
-Hacking system (used for cheats, special messages, etc.).

CONS
-Agents are completely impossible to even fight with BRIEFLY.
-No super-long Matrix-style jump.
-Some parts are confusing (e.g. Catch the Plane).
-If you fall down more than approx. 20 feet, you die!

I HIGHLY suggest that any sensible gamer purchase this...fifty bucks or not!
