I have been looking for as much information on World of Warcraft as possible and have gathered enough to write a review. World of Warcraft is going to be a massive online roleplaying game M.O.R.G. that will have many servers that will let thousands of people play in a single 'world'. They will be giving lots of room for character interaction. So far they have realeased 4 races that you can choose your character from including human, orc, tauren, and dwarf. They've also made a few character classes including magic user, warrior, a cleric type class. The graphics are going to be 100% amazing. They have recently announced they will have mounts for the characters to ride in the game. It's going to be a game of adventure, excitement, and addiction.
Probaly is going to be the best game on PC.

I've read a lot about this gaem. It sounds like it'll be a huge hit!You get to form parties make guilds Have different "jobs" called trade skills. You can mount creatures, and if you are a Hunter or Warlock, you can even have Pets! If you play Battle.net on warcraft 3, there is a preview of the game(its a custom game) called World of Warcraft Reborn. You go on quests, You CAN fight othere people ect. But the bottom line is, You like Warcraft? You like Adventure? You like Action? If you say yes to at least 2 of these, then GET THIS GAME! I MEAN IT!
A MUST HAVE!

Blizzard has never let me down. I've seen the screenshots, I've heard about gameplay. WoW will be the king of this generation's MMO. I've played UO, DAoC and many other MMO's. But at one point, the entire game goes downhill. Why? I mainly blame it on 'rushed' programming. The exception is EQ. It was almost perfect, but Sony completely unbalanced the game with their supposedly 'amazing' expansion packs. But Blizzard has learned from past mistakes. They aren't rushing. This is the game for all you hardcore gamers out there.
Great Buy

I have been following World Of Warcraft for some time now. If you are into any of the Warcraft games then you may like this, it takes you deeper into the world then you have ever been. If you have ever player the diablo series the game in kind of like that, just better graphics and many more things to do. It wont be released until december 31st, 2003 but you should order it now while suplies last! BUT if you do not want to pay to play this game THEN DONT BUY IT you have to pay like $$-$$ a month to play it..it is an online game...
Stunning graphics, great sound, wonderful characters...GREAT GAME...

even in the betta test which is usualy full of glitches, this was a lot of fun. you pend a lot of time moving around, but they have things to do, while you are going from point a to b like hunting or herb gathering. very well thought out, elaborate and wonderfull graphics. I played druid and hunter and warior, elf and human up to level 15, great fun. Highly recomend it. only whish they would ahve extended the Betta test longer. if you have liked the other blizzard games this one does not fall short. mix of adventure/storytelling/action with a little economics to boot.
buy it. enjoy it.. peace

Ok, I will admit that I am 100% new to this game. I have been playing Warcraft for awhile, but the World internet game is new to me. I will admit this game seems interesting to me as I have only been playing for 2 days...but...one thing I do not like is the battle system. Am I doing something wrong or is it it just---you hit----the monster hits back----you hit---etc---until one of you dies?? Is there a strategy that I'm missing here? Can you avoid being hit? I just run up to something and get into a punch for punch battle with them until they drop dead. If that's the way it goes, it seems stupid. All these good reviews make me think I'm missing some element of fighting. The graphics are cool and the game seems to have potential but there has to be more to the battle system. Any advice??

I find it deplorable that a gaming company makes you fork over a significant chunk of change for a game and then does not provide you with at least a year's worth of membership to play the game. Call me old fashioned, but I expect more value for my money.
Just to show you how good WOW really is..

Scroll through the 1/5 star ratings here, and most of the complaints are regarding how the game requires too much of your time once you get to level 60. How could you possibly play ALL THE WAY to level 60, yet still call this a 1 star game lol?
looks good

but looks can be misleading. World of warcraft(i am hoping) will be as they are saying a MMORPG but faster paced (more action) most games of this genre are boring to me there fun and all but spending 15 hours pressing a button and then clicking the mouse about 6 times during a period of two minutes about 250 times until you finally get a level (everquest) isnt my idea of fun. The graphics on this game look a little under the standard of say everquest II but like i said looks can be decieving and hpefuly thi game will deliver

On PVP
======
One thing I stay away from in in MMORPG's is PVP, really because there is no sense... A bunch of 13 year olds run around trying to kill everything that moves, and i don't see the fun in that...
Warcraft PVP is different. On an aside, people who Play WC3 are really playing to a story... The missions are story oriented and it is clear who your enemies are, (alliance vs. horde and in some cases horde vs. scourge). Blizzard was smart and brought the entire storyline to WoW.
What makes PVP unique is that it is engrained with the game. Playing PvE (player vs. environment, i.e. Everquest) is a COMPLETELY different game than WoW PVP.
First, as I have only played hoard chars, when a friendly town gets attacked, everyone knows about it and suddenly there are 50 freakin trolls running to Booty Bay to fend off attackers... It is a total rush because people are not afraid to die due to WoW's death system.
If you think PvP is bad, please reconsider because WoW PvP is a completely different game than PvE and throws you into the story rather than just being a participant in needless killing.
On the bad side of PvP, I haven't figured out the use of attacking a town. When you zone into an area, it tells you what the place is called, and who (hoard or alliance, or neither) controlls the territory, which leads me to believe that towns at some point in time will be conquerable, but today I have not seen evidence of that. If we can get to that stage where attacking towns yield reward other than items and maybe faction, i think we will have the uber-game.
Guilds
======
It was recently announced that when you log into a server (WoW will have many just like EQ) you cannot have characters on cross alligences, meaning, you cannot have an alliance and a horde character on one server... For the obvoius reasons. The ramafication of this is that you will have to play on two servers, leading most guilds to have a horde and an alliance choice to make.
Secondly, as stated by a few 'griefers' you will be restricted (at launch) to a regional server... I.e. Europeans and Americans will not be able to play on the same server due to 'quality of gameplay' mandates by Blizzard. Overall I see the value in this but there are a few 'uber guilds' that have international presence... For these people who degrade this game because on that one issue, i say "GET A LIFE" or go play lineage, which is overall a sucky game because of the internationalism and the racism that comes with that.
Secondly, Blizzard has already stated that it is looking at revising that policy so stay tuned.
--
Overall this game is a winner. It is the typically over-addictive mmorpg that EQ was (so I think it is only time before monikers like World of Warcrack become commonplace) but more importantly they have taken the time to run a year long beta test and wring out the bugs.
This is a new development because if you look at Horizons, Anarchy Online, and the king of retail beta code "everquest" Blizzard, has continued their emphasis on customer experience and delivering a quality game.
Word on the street is November 28th for release.
