ive never actually played World of Warcraft but it seems like a great game. just judging by the pictures and how well the graphics were dont i'd say this was a 5 star game. if Warcraft 3 looks good then this is probably even better. I would suggest this game to anyone who loves a good strategy game and a good hard graphical adventure that could keep them occupied for a while.

Great Buy

I have been following World Of Warcraft for some time now. If you are into any of the Warcraft games then you may like this, it takes you deeper into the world then you have ever been. If you have ever player the diablo series the game in kind of like that, just better graphics and many more things to do. It wont be released until december 31st, 2003 but you should order it now while suplies last! BUT if you do not want to pay to play this game THEN DONT BUY IT you have to pay like $$-$$ a month to play it..it is an online game...

Stunning graphics, great sound, wonderful characters...GREAT GAME...

Going to be completely amazing.

I have been looking for as much information on World of Warcraft as possible and have gathered enough to write a review. World of Warcraft is going to be a massive online roleplaying game M.O.R.G. that will have many servers that will let thousands of people play in a single 'world'. They will be giving lots of room for character interaction. So far they have realeased 4 races that you can choose your character from including human, orc, tauren, and dwarf. They've also made a few character classes including magic user, warrior, a cleric type class. The graphics are going to be 100% amazing. They have recently announced they will have mounts for the characters to ride in the game. It's going to be a game of adventure, excitement, and addiction.

Wake me up in 2007.

This game looks outstanding, but as we all know, looks can be decieving (Asherons Call 2).This might redeem Blizzard as a great game maker after the Warcraft 3 disaster. Unlike most people I learn from history. Blizzard has a habit of throwing release dates around, with no respect for the general public. If this thing is out by 2007 i will be amazed.

Just another pre-release review

First, I'll say that I absoultely HATE pre-release reviews. I wish there was a stronger word than that. But, I feel compelled as an avid Blizzard gamer and clan owner/leader to clear some things up.

World of Warcraft is an M.M.O.R.P.G. It is a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. It will take place in many different worlds with the same worlds replicated on brand new servers.
There are 5, repeat 5, races to play. There are the Tauren (bull like creatures), the Orcs, the Dwarves (and yes, there will be Dwarven muskets available), the Humans, and my favorite The NIGHT ELVES! Both genders will be playable, and equally effective in all aspects of the game. Blizzard says there will be more playable races, but we'll see. All characters will be able to swim and there will be lots of water as well as underwater levels. Characters will not need to eat or drink ever. Blizzard says there will be positive benefits associated with eating and drinking though.
You can form bands of 5 men or guilds of more. Look for my Guild on whatever the U.S. West server is.My alias will be Lord Faramir. Our colors (you get to choose a design for your guild) will be red and something else. There are 3 classes out so far. They are Mage, Shaman, and warrior. Hopefully there will be more. There will be several aspects of the game much like diablo. In WoW there will be 1st and 3rd person perspectives.
Battles will not be a "clickfest". When you attack a creature, your character will keep attacking, but there will be certain things you can change during the battle. There will be vast new expanses of land players have seen before and haven't. Unlike diablo, your heakth will regenerate on its own, and you can't just consume potions like crazy. You get potions, but there will be a "cooldown" time after you've used a potion before you can take the next one. Of course, we all know Blizzard changes things so don't take my word as holy writ. Plus, the beta test won't be out for another year. Just look forward to this. And not to mention, Starcraft 2.

looks good

but looks can be misleading. World of warcraft(i am hoping) will be as they are saying a MMORPG but faster paced (more action) most games of this genre are boring to me there fun and all but spending 15 hours pressing a button and then clicking the mouse about 6 times during a period of two minutes about 250 times until you finally get a level (everquest) isnt my idea of fun. The graphics on this game look a little under the standard of say everquest II but like i said looks can be decieving and hpefuly thi game will deliver

A must have

While Blizzard is one of the best game makers, can they compete in the pay-for-play online industry against other game makers who don't make you pay for playing? That's right. Just read it in GamePro that two senior programmers from Blizzard quit and developed an on-line game that is (currently) competing with Blizzards on-line game, except all you have to do to play their on-line game is buy it. Pay-for-play service is not worth the money per year to play it. One price, forever replay is way better and after years of loyalty, I for one am going with Blizzard's competitors. I just don't like having to pay over and over to play a game that I own.

This game looks as though it will be a leader of its genre, suppossedly it will feature a highly refined combat system based on revising all the pros and cons of other mmorpg's. Sporting ^TOP^ of the line graphical elements such as an advanced weather system,( you can actually see the clouds pass over you and watch as shadow is cast across the land)and seamless continents and enviroments this game will play and feel identical to real life.
If you do not/can not get this game you will be missing out on the adventure of a lifetime...
