This game rocks.

A friend of mine has the beta. I went to his house and made an undead rogue. Just as Blizzard says, there is no farming off bats and rats. You start off on small quests and then go further and further from the city. You become level two after the first quest or two and a bit of zombie killing.
Many people believe that this game will be bad, since Blizzard has never made an MMORPG, but those people have never played the beta. All of these people are obsessive EQ fans that, for some reason, will not do anything besides play their precious Everquest. (...)

This game is the long awaited mmorpg(massivly multiplayer online role playing game) and is going to be the most anticipated game of the decade. It includes utterly perfect graphics, an endless world, real-time strategy, creative gameplay, and an alltogether AWSOME game that will be fun playing it hours with your friends.

If I could, I would give this game negative stars.

I cannot stand this game. I played it for a couple hours at my friends house and there is absolutely no point except to gain levels and find REALLY NEAT ITEMS. There is never any storyline beyond the fact that the Horde and Allies are at war or some crap; then of course the sub-stories of "Gimli needs to get laid! Find 5 hot dwarf women so he can be kept busy for the entire work week!" Games like this have plenty of fancy graphics and so on, but honestly present no challange. If you die you simply run back to your corpse and it's no big deal. Any other game if you die it's game over or you're one step closer to a game over because you lost one of your extra men.

As far as combat or socialism, yes it has a neat combat system, but it's the same damn crap as EQ, all over again. Then, as far as socializing, thats total BS in a game. The social factor (which some people apparently just lvoe about MMORPGs) is not the point of the game. You want social interaction? Get out of your nasty computer chair, step away from the computer, look at yourself in the mirror, and then realise why you have no friends. You dont go out to make any; The friends you DID have, have all moved on since you refuse to do anything with them anymore since it's always "just a second I am in a quest, I am about to level."

Bull S*** like this is marketed towards weak minded ham-beasts and land-whales that just cant get enough /dance action from the female night elves. Anyone wunna join my online wedding? Anyone wunna cyb3r? lolz!!!! j/k, I got +3 Cloth Robe of the Fox.

This game to me has no redeeming qualities past the first few hours of playing, because by then I am tired of the turnbased "action" which I can usually stand if there is an actual story involved somewhere.

Pre-Mature Release Date

This game ,by far, is one of the most anticipated games EVER... I am usually a sceptic... But Blizzard has a history of releasing games with such addictive reactions that I haven't seen since the original Civilization was released... Many O Hours Unwasted on that game... I have been socking away money so that on the same week of the release of this game I can purchase the latest fastest PC and graphics card to make the experience that more intense... I am also going to upgrade to a cable modem or better... All in anticipation of this game...
However, the release date amazon pulled out of there dairy air IS NOT an official release date... So don't get excited...YET! Blizzard has yet to even release a release date and as I type the game is in Phase 1 Beta Testing So it could be a while... In fact I would rather wait longer escpecially for a mmorph because the balancing must be just right... Blizzard will release this game not when its sellable but when it's a great game... I think they have placed over half of thier resources to work on this project and I think it will pay off Huge for them...

Drooling for release (but not pre-mature release)

I have played it.

I was in the stress test. This game is awesome. It is the best I've ever played. I love it to death. It is awesomely insane. There are 8 races, you probably know them from other posts. The first post is insanely in accuracte. That loser probably doesn't even know how to spell Warcraft (no cheating!). Anyway, I played the stress test for 9 days I believe. Believe me, this game is user friendly. You can become a lvl 5 in about a couple hours and in my case (I played a lot) about half an hour. From there on it is not so simple, and it isn't to complicated. It becomes much harder to level but much more of a personal accomplishment. The horse travel, zeppelin travel, air travel, and boat travel all add perfect touches. It is an awesome game and I loved every moment of it. Take it from a person who has actually played it;

This game rocks. Buy it 4sho.

I love this game it is a lot of fun you can play as so many difrent charters. The lands you can explore are beautful!Only one problem it's addicting and even though it is easy to lv up and it can make the actual play time short there are a lot of quests and missions and profesions you can do so have fun but i would agree with school girl on the fact that online games and this game isent for everyone so try it with the demo disk first.

This game has been a fun game to start out with.

But all of a sudden, I just discovered, they BLOCK you out of the game regularly! After forking over alot of cash just to have the CDs and one month of play time, Blizzard decides it need to strip you of your ability to play their game.

Tuesday mornings, for several hours now, is a total block-out. It sickens me that there is no way for me to get my money back for such a horrible piece of software. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GAME!

WoW is a popular online-RPG, and it is one of many, so please purchase something that will atleast allow you to play it! If you buy this game and get blocked out, you were warned! Your money and dedication to Blizzard means nothing to them, all they care about is updating content for the level 60+ players.

I give this game a F- for its total lack of fun

Read the fine print BEFORE you buy...

I'm sure this game is okay, but what they don't tell you up front is that there are additional fees involved. In very tiny print on the box it says, "First month of play included. Internet connection required. Additional online fees apply." I bought this as a gift for my 16 year old son who loves Warcraft III-plays it all the time-great game. He was not interested in having to pay monthly fees just to play this game. It looked really cool, but not $12.99 and up per month cool. We returned it.

LETS BUY A GAME BECAUSE OF THE WORD WARCRAFT

LETS FACE IT.. THIS IS PROBABLTY THE MOST OVERRATED GAME OF ALL TIME. WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS THIS:

1) WASTE OF MONEY. $15 A MONTH IS TOO F$@#ing EXPENSIVE...
2) LETS ALL BUY IT BECAUSE THE WORD "WARCRAFT" IS IN IT
3) THE GRAPHICS LOOK LIKE SILICON VALLEY (CRAPPY N64 GAME)
4) 70 + SERVERS OR SOMETHING... WOW WHAT A COMMUNITY IF ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS FROM A PAST GAME GOES TO ONE SERVER AND YOUR OTHER FRIEND GOES TO ANOTHER SERVER YOU HAVE A HARD CHOICE TO MAKE
5) COMBAT IS FUN.. PRESS A COMMAND AND WATCH UR CHARACTER AUTO ATTACK MONSTERS... RINSE AND REPEAT FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED HOURS
6) PVP IS THE SAME. IMAGINE D2 WHERE EVERYONE PLANS OUT THERE CHARACTER TO SPECIFIC BUILDS WITH PERCECT ITEMS AND MEMORIZE EVERY QUEST. THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME THING.
7) THIS GAME IS LAME I RECCOMEND YOU DO NOT BUY IT ( THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK EVERYWHERE ANYWAYS)
8) BUY ARMIES OF EXIGO INSTEAD..
9) LOL JUST KIDDING THAT GAME IS EVEN WORSE

Good but is it worth the cost?

While Blizzard is one of the best game makers, can they compete in the pay-for-play online industry against other game makers who don't make you pay for playing? That's right. Just read it in GamePro that two senior programmers from Blizzard quit and developed an on-line game that is (currently) competing with Blizzards on-line game, except all you have to do to play their on-line game is buy it. Pay-for-play service is not worth the money per year to play it. One price, forever replay is way better and after years of loyalty, I for one am going with Blizzard's competitors. I just don't like having to pay over and over to play a game that I own.
