This is a great game! Your goal is to catch all 251 pokemon! It is good for replay because everyday new stuff changes like shop in goldenrod. Haircut brothers. Other stuff too!! You can catch different pokemon on the same spot(Depending on night or day). Anyways you can link with your friends, trade battle and mystery gift. This is a must have!

My was this game great! Plus I have Entei,Raikou and Suicune as well! Do you want to know how I got them? First You must have 1 gold version and 1 silver version. Then use 1 of the versions and get all 8 badges. Go to New Bark Town after and get the Master ball. Then Make your Pokemon hold the Master ball and do a link with the Pokemon that is holding the Master ball. And last look for any of those dogs and catch with the Master ball! To get them all, I reapeted the instructions I showed you 3 times! I hope this helps so go buy this game now!

ok, ive played tons of pkmn games and i own very many and i believe this is the best. its a whole lot easier to beat than yellow, but its still really good and a good challenge. this was my very first role-play game and i still love it best even when i have the newest PKMN ruby game for GBA.
the graphics arent as good as GBA, BUT its best for GB
the music is cool
the whole plot and all the places and everything is awesome
i've beaten the game a million times and i'm still playing it over and over and i've had it for 5yrs now.
SWEET!

This game rules! I bought this 3 days after it came out. I thought it would be just like when I bought my Blue Version that I would pick my Pokémon, collect 8 badges and it's done. I was wrong! First you get to set the time which lets you catch certain Pokémon during the day or night. Plus, instead of 8 badges to collect, you need to collect 16! Plus 100 new Pokémon. There is Male and Female Pokémon, which let you breed certain Pokémon. This is a sweet game, but a GBC (Game Boy Color) is recommended. This game is made to be shown of in color, but it is compedatable on Gameboy, and Gameboy Pocket. Also, buy this if you think you have a couple hundred hours on your hands to complete this; catch 251 Pokémon, catch all the male and female Pokémon making it 502, plus 26 figures of Unown's making it 528 Pokémon, collect 16 badges, and be the best trainer ever!
"Pokemon Gold" is an improvement from red, blue, and yellow.

This game improved on the already smash-selling Pokemon games. There's more pokemon, more moves, better sound, better graphics, more puzzles, more (I think) trainers, and the game is just... GREAT! This title is definately worth the (high) price.

i think this is the best game ever but for those of you out there who like pokemon but only have a gameboy original it gets pretty frustrating when it is only on gameboy colour and if any one knows if the colour games work on original email me at mark_byrne2001@hotmail.com i would really appreciate it thank you for your time.

I got gold and silver for Christmas. I was mad when my friends got gold and silver. But some cetse I bet you want. In kanto thare are not so mene joto pokemon. In kanto (route 14) you may think thire are a lot of trainers. but a gril in the grass will trade a chansey for a aerodacty.

It's a fun game to own and play along with it's counterpart,Pokemon Silver. Only certain aspects of game play are negatives such as the time aspect and daily events as well as having to chase the legendary pokemon unlike in Pokemon Red and Blue. Missing certain events and having to wait literally a week sometimes to return to them is slightly annoying as is having to capture certain pokemon during specific times of day as they are in some cases specifically nocturnal or their percent in a given area is extremely low. Other than these things the game plays very well and the improvement to color from just a plain solid red or blue color is great. Seeing each pokemon in their given coloration is really nice. The added new types and moves are also a plus. Overall a well worth buy for a Pokemon fan.
Yet another installment in the Pokemon series.

I won't bother saying what is fun about Pokemon for obvious reasons. I will try and sum up why this is different than the previous ones. There are many new Pokemon added, and this is before the new Pokemon get stupid and unimaginative like in future versions. There's a whole new storyline and character set. The graphics are by far the best in the series so far. The sound/music is still lackluster. The only thing really holding the game back at all is the feeling that they only made it to make some money. This is probably the last game in the series before it converts completely into the "make the game and cash in" stage. The "cash in" stage lasts until Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, the first original ones since, well, Gold and Silver.
