A MUST FOR SIMPSON FANS

I was never really good at crazy taxi, so I was weary of this one. But thank god I tried! The controls are easy to manage, the characters and dialogue are excellent! Each new scene is exciting, there are many ways to get from "A" to "B", follow the games suggestions, or create your own (driving off cliffs and through ravines) Different views make running people over pretty funny. The missions are a little harder, but fun. The one bad thing is the load times. They are terribbly long. Even so, I urge everyone to run out and get it!

This game is awesome! The reasons that I gave it 5 out of 5 stars are:
1) The excellent 3d graphics
2) The variety of characters
3) The 6 HUGE parts of Springfield to drive/race in
4) The large selection of cars that come with the players
5) The actual character voices and common sayings
6) The actual places from the TV show such as the Kwik E Mart and others
The only downside is the long time that it takes to load. Other than that this game is great!

That title was sposed to mock Comic book guy... But onto my review. This is one of the best games ever made.The graphics rocked, the camera rocked, everything rocked, except for the loading. It takes, on average, 40 seconds to load up a regular level. But that wasn't bad enough to give it a 4. I found myself laugh to death at some of the quotes (examples: Marge: That poor man. I hope someone does kill him. ; Burns: Electric cars, soap box racers! This is a transit town! Not the 1967 world's fair!).
All in all this is a MUST have for anybody who even remotley likes the simpsons.

This is probally one of the coolest game. The funny phases they say is funny, in road rage you drive for money. Also you can do tricks that are fat. One tip, use the scientists car its the fastest.

This game is as good as the show, you have to hold yourself from rolling on the floor laughing in the middle of the game it is so funny. There are 18 (if you beat all the missions in mission mode you win the car built for homer) different cars to choose from (you start off with 4 and you win the rest). The object is to collect 1 million dollars to buy out mr. burns nuclear powered buses. There are 5 different neighborhoods so you can really see what springfield is all about. You can jump ramps, hit mascots, destroy cars, go through schools and inside mr.burns mansion! I beat the game today and it was worth it. But this game and you wont regret it.

I love this game. I won a PS2 at my afterprom and don't like all the killing games. This was perfect for me because I love the simpsons, and on holidays, new characters show up for that day only!

This was one of the first games I bought when I got the PS2 about 4 years ago. Now, my son who is 6 and I play this game almost nightly. The main focus of the game is going around picking up Springfield residents and dropping them off at their desired locations around town. This earns you money which allows you to unlock new characters and cars, and new Springfield locations. The gameplay is fast and fun, the controls are easy to use, and the graphics are fantastic. As a huge fan of the TV show, I was delighted to hear comments made by the characters:
Chief Wiggum: 'I'd tell you to buckle up, but somebody stole the seatbelts'
Ralph: 'The elves tell me to burn things'
Homer: ' Don't sit on my Nacho's'
The Mission mode of the game is fun too. You have to complete a series of missions, like Otto knocking over a bunch of lightpoles in a given amount of time, to unlock a secret car.
But the highlight of the game is the Head to Head mode. In this portion of the game two drivers compete to pick up either 5, 10 or 15 passengers and delivery them to their destination before the other drive. Once a passenger is picked up by one driver, the other driver has to try and ram the would-be taxi in order to steal the passenger away. The head to head mode quickly became my favorite portion of the game once I was able to unlock all of the cars and levels.
As an added bonus, there are secrets to the game as well. Try playing on Halloween, or Christmas, and the characters and their cars change looks. Also, you can unlock the 'Nuclear' bus and drive that around too. If you like this game I also recommend The Simpsons Hit & Run game.

At first Glance the Simpsons Road Rage seems like a relatively simple game. There are a number of modes of play.

Sunday Drive allows you to cruise the area at your own pace, find the sneaky shorcuts and figure out the performance qualities of the vehicles. For instance Marge's Canyonero will punch through roadblocks with ease, but doesn't have the roadholding capabilities of Snake's or Homers Car. Willy's tractor and Bart's rocket car are very flighty, the tractor skids with any tight turn, and the rocket car bounces around a lot. So you have to learn each vehicles strong points.

Then you can play head to head against other players if you have a second game controller.

There is a "Mission Mode" that sets you defined tasks to be accomplished in a given time.

Finally, and best of all, is Road Rage. You are timed at picking up and delivering passengers all over town. The more you score, the more drivers you win, and the more locations open up.

Although this game is labelled for teens, my kids are younger, and love the Simpsons. The Eight year old took one day to beat the pants off me. The six year old is not so good, but can still play a mean game on it. However, at this stage she prefers the Sunday Drive mode.

The four year old cannot yet get the feel of using one controller for forward/backwards, and the other for left/right, so he had difficulty steering consistenly. But on sunday drive he seems to enjoy just getting around Springfield.

If you think it will upset your children to hear Krusty say "I seltsered myself" or to drive Mayor Quimby to the town Bordello then you may not want to give it to them. What is a Bordello anyway?

All this game is good for is passing dull hours. All you do is drive around picking up passengers and listen to the same thing over and over. This game was an improvement to the other games but still was stupid. Even worse than The Simpsons Wrestling which I will add was really stupid. This game isnt the best, but it is better than the other games of the series. This game wasnt that much and isnt worth buying unless you like simple games.

"This game is great"!!! That's what I said when I first cracked open the case. However, after about 2 hours of playing the game gets extremely boring. You just keep driving and driving. The whole entire plot of the game is senseless. If you really want to play this game, rent it! Do not buy!!
