Road rage

The voices sound so realistic just like the TV show. They also have the cars the Simpson family uses through out the episodes. I like the side comments like when bart came up in his soap car derby racer and said " I'm Bart Simpson who the hell are you ". And when Homer said " Don't sit on nachos''...My sister and I both like the game.

If you are a BIG fan of the Simpsons, go buy it you will like it no matter what anyone says.

Now for those of you looking for something to play. This game is very easy to play which makes things nice. The down side is the missions are so boring. Once you figure out which pattern to take the game becomes incredibly easy. Go to point A to B to C to D to E back to A and repeat.

The extra missions will [upset] you.... You wait for 1 to 2 minutes to load a 20 to 50 second mission. When you win you wait another 1 to 2 minutes to save. On average you will play a mission 3 times. So lets do some math here. 10 missions x 2 minutes x 3 replays = 60 minutes of waiting. 10 missions x 45 seconds of play x 3 replays is 22 minutes of play. Thats worse then watching TV.

I would like to say the game can be for children buy I cannot. All be it the game is easy. It has some very annoying hangups.
1. The simple road rage patterns take the fun out the of the game.
2. The missions only give you just enough time to complete it make one steering mistake and you bought it. Make the correct steering choice and you will have 5 seconds left at the end of the mission.
3. Minor glitches add to the frustration. You can be driving straight and just hit something invisible. This is not an issue in Road Rage, but it is in the Missions which will [upset you] after the first time it happens.
4. The look and feel of the game could have been better, personally.

Not worth the money to buy this, rent na, borrow maybe.

Dont believe for one second what the critics say about this game, because this game is great. Sure, it borrows heavily from crazy taxi. But with this game you get 6 cities, all just about as big as the 1 city in crazy taxi. You have about 20 characters that you unlock as you make money, and there is an actual plot. There are so many voice overs in this game, a voice for each person driving and the customer. The play control on it kind of [stinks], but the rest makes up for it. Sometimes the controls can get a little unresponsive too. But there are 10 minigames, which are all pretty easy to complete. But ive played this game more than i think any other game i own for the PS2... its very easy to catch on and hard to put it down. MOST DEFINATELY GET THIS GAME.

Simpsons Road Rage may be a clone of Crazy Taxi, but it's still a great game. The glitches can get pretty annoying, but they're not so bad that I have to take a star off this review. Also, the loading is sometimes long, but the game is so fun that it's worth it...

Two months ago I bought this game at BestBuy. I thought it was really funny when Homer said "I am so smart.S-M-A-T.I mean s.m.a.r.t. Or when the fat nerd says "Worst videogame ever!" I have the Greatest Hits Version and I think everyone should.

POSITIVES:

Road rage is great fun. I have found myself playing hours and hours at a time! The game, no doubt about it, soars over more traditional and, shall we say, less chaotic racing games. The missions are fun too. It will surely stay as a favorite game for a long time. Then, there are the

NEGATIVES:

This game takes forever to load. In the missions, I find myself striving harder than ever to complete them, because if you fail, this is how it goes: Press RETRY > Wait about three minutes > Play another one and a half version, and then start again if you fail. Ditto with the actual game. I also find the Sunday Drive feature relatively pointless.

Other than that, I love this game and will readily recommend it. Oh yeah, the Head 2 Head rocks!!!!!!!!*_-

I saw this game on sale and I snatched it up immediately. Gameplay was a somewhat difficult and repetitive. This game is sitting in my collection growing dust. Although, it helps to pass the time every once in a blue moon it is definately not the the most fun.

This game is just like Crazy Taxi except done in the most horrific way possible...

1 out of 5 stars! This game had like no good gameplay except pick up people and drop em off and a very short story mode...Which is also crap...

Nothing really to do except listening to annoying bad music which isn't even good and really really bad gameplay....

Hit and Run is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better then this malarchy....

The 1st time I played this game I laughed [a lot]! The characters say the funniest things. And the longer you play, and the more money you make, you can buy new characters and locations. You can also run into things and run over people (unlike crazy taxi). They also have missions, and a 2 player (head to head) game. I seriously recommend this game. This kicks Crazy Taxi's a$$!

I know I only gave it 1 star for educational but why would I wanna play an educational game? The locations are cool but they should've had the squidport too. There were a lot of destinations that nobody wants to go to like "Java the Hut" and "Lullabyz" and the Nuclear Power Plant location is nothing special. You're probably thinking right now "If you're saying bad stuff about this game then how come you gave it 5 stars?" Well it's because the good outweighs the bad and 4.5 wasn't an option. I think that they should make another road rage game where Shelbyville is doing some kind of bad thing where you can drive as whoever you can pick up, including minor people like the teenage loser and Moleman. I love jumping the jump at the Springfield Dam and the Gorge is a lot of fun up in the mountains, but the thing is, I think that you should randomize where the people are and where they wanna go because you'll pick someone up in a certain area and you'll automatically know that they wanna go to the gorge or the Tire Fire. I was disappointed to find that Patty and Selma, Dr. Hibbert, Sideshow Mel, and many numerous Simpsons characters not on the game. If you make a road rage 2, you should make 7 locations, or possibly combine the power plant and the dam or possibly the mountains and the dam or why not Nuclear Power Plant and Evergreen Terrace? Or Downtown and Entertainment District? Or add the squidport inside the Dam, because basically the Dam is just one main road with a few shortcuts and 2 sideroads. I think that more characters should have reactions with eachother and I also think that they should always tell you where they wanna go and why, and have different reasons different times. I gotta go watch a movie, I might be back for another review and continue my opinions, hope my review was helpful.
