For those gamers like myself have been waiting for the next challenge since half life, star trek elite force fills the need quite nicely
The sound is excellent, the cinematic sequences set the scene well, if only a little bit too long in length sometimes.
The mixture of blasting ala quake 3 and stealth missions adds some variety. Some mini missions have a time limit to add to the tension.
This isn't half life though but its the best game I've played recently that comes even close.

Okay! I saw the game and I had to have it. I'm a trekie and I bought this game whether or not I had the proper video card and enough usable memory, which I didn't have either. So I did what any good cyber shopper would do, and I bought me the Voodoo 4-500 video card (this card has its own cooling fan) Pretty hot--HUH? Then I bought me another 64 mb of memory. Then I played the game. You wont be disappointed, even if you have to do what I did and buy the card and extra memory. Sooner or later you're going to have to upgrade anyway, might as well be now. I've finished the game in normal difficulty, but now I'm going for the challenge, and there is still the, very difficult, yet to conquer.
What I like most about this game is, you have to use you head as much as you do the firing button. It also lets you test the new weaponry in the holodeck. The actual voices of the Voyager crew, give the game a life that makes you feel like you're one of the crew.
Simply the best game out there!

This game ROCKS! Pure and simple. The graphics are wonderful, the story line is intriguing, it plays at multiple skill levels to make it fun for all and the online gaming is wonderful. I love the fact that during the game there is downtime and you can just wander through the ship until an alert happens or Tuvok calls for you.
I've never played a game online before, this is my first and it hooked me. I'm not that good against all these veteran gamers out there but I have a ton of fun none the less. I love playing the capture the flag mode online. This is a must have game for anyone who likes first person shooter games.
The only draw back is the requirements for your computer. When I got it for a present it didn't work because my graphics card is not supported, but after I downloaded the updated drivers for my graphics card it worked fine.
Thank you to all of you who helped make this game. I LOVE IT!

this is exactly how a Star Trek game should be, the graphics are fantastic, though, most of the characters, look, well, close to the real thing, but far from exact, but the game-play is fast and fun, and unlike other FPS games, you use alot of stratagy, other than kill or be killed tactics
to all the DEAF gamers out there, the story-line and communication between characters is written and spoken, so this game is totally user friendly
Awsome

This game is cool. You don't even need to be a trekkie to enjoy it. The multi player is fast paced mayhem. I just think this game rocks and would recommed it to anyone who is up for a fast paced blow your socks off experience
Great Game but storyline and multiplayer are weak.

I first bought this game because the demo was great. And I loved the game until the very end of the story line in which I was suprised at the shortness of the single player. The Holomatch portion of the game is very dull with there being hardly any point. Multiplayer consists of who shoots who first. I have to say that I was very dissapointed
Great

Well everything technical has been said and it's a wonderful game, although a little confusing at first. But my favorite part is when you chose your favorite character (B'ellana) and use her/him to shoot at characters you hate (Chackotay,Seven and Neelix for example). All in all it's a good game.
The Best of the Best!

This game is the best game I have ever played for the computer; AND IT GET'S BETTER!!!!! If you buy the expansion pack it should get more than 5 stars. The graphics are great, and if you like adventure you can play the single-player mode (entering enemy ships like the borg and the ethereans, and battling exotic aliens) !!!OR!!! play games like free-for-all (shoot everyone in sight), team holomatch (same as free- for-all but with teams), and capture the flag (capture the enemy team's flag to score points and win!) There are more types if you buy the expansion pack! This game is worth the money and so is the expansion pack. GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!
Great Away team game

I think this game is great for a lot of reasons, but overall I think the attention to variety in the alien ships and the complexity of having to figure out how in the world am I going to get way up to that next level where all those aliens are ready to kill me.
Most people complain its not all played on Voyager, but I don't think there would be much variety if it were on just one ship. Its a good heart pounding game, especially when myriads of Borg or Harvesters just keep popping up and your Tetryon disruptor ammo is just about gone. It has a good storyline. But the greatest thing about it is the surprises at the end of each mission which makes it more real than a planned out scripted TV show type mission.
I think the Photon rifle and Tetryon Disruptor are the two most valuable weapons, along with the Stasis weapon in some places. I actually defeated the Hunter though with a standard Starfleet hand phaser. This game is definitely worth buying.
My only big problem with it is...For some reason on several of the missions I have had my own crew members fire at me to no end. I don't know why...I thought it was a fluke until for the third time it happened when I had fought my way to the Firing Chamber on the Derelict Space Cannon. I was loading the energy round all the while Ensign Chang kept blasting me in the back with a Phaser rifle mistaking me for a enemy target...maybe he'd snapped or something.
All in all it has a good story line which is what makes any game. If you like space stories and love star trek then You should definitely buy it.
The best Star Trek Game Out

I am a long time voyager fan, I have every episode and every voyager book, so when i saw Voyager: Elite Force, i was one of the first people to go out and buy it last year. and i am glad that I did. It is without a doubt the best Star Trek game created. the graphics are slick, the levels are fun to play and the overall mission is one that really gets you involved in the game. It is linked to the hit TV show in more than one way. with chell trying to win Tuvok's respect and more. The original game is great, but the Xpansion Pack is just as good, it has a virtual voyager mission, a few new holodeck scenarios and adds a few new and interesting elements to the original game. In the original Game, Seven of Nine is played by someone else but Jeri finally decided to do the vioceovers and there is a patch in the Xpansion Pack. You should have a 800mhZ minimum processor with at least a good graphics card, 256mb RAM minimum and a good 5.1 sound setup to fully appreciate the game though. If you like watching Voyager or want to get a good startrek game, buy Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force. You will not regret it. Live long and prosper!
