My God!

What I saw when I played the demo was amazing! The graphics were amazing and the models are so very accurate. In the demo you get to fight the Borg on a cube and try to rescue some teammates. The AI is very smart and acts the way it's supposed to...like the Borg don't attack you unless they consider you a threat. I'm going to get this game the moment it comes out. I suggest that action fans and Star Trek fans get this game...it'll be worth your money.

It's all in the details.

Whether you are a Star Trek fan, you'll enjoy this game, but what really impressed me about it were the details, and these will be lost on you if you are not a die-hard fan of Star Trek (e.g., you not only know there was an animated series after the original 80 episodes were aired, but you watched every one of them!). When you get on the Scavanger ship, you are actually seeing the ship from the original show, and they got everything right (red steel mesh, the funky 3-d chess board, the uniforms, etc.). The Dreadnaught ship is more or less right out of the episode the Doomsday Machine, aired back in '67. And the whole plot of the Etherians is very much a Star Trek device.

Don't get me wrong -- there's more than just nostalgia in this game. It is full of heart-pumping action, and there are also some very clever visual puzzles. I did not love the final section of the game, when it fell into a rather derivative "kill all until you find the boss" repetitive loop, but hey, how else could it end? It's a great game. Oh, and the holodeck matches spliced in between the missions are top notch. Really, this is a fantastic game, worthy every penny, worth every minute of your time.

This is a "MUST"

when i heard about Elite Force, i wasn't thrilled about it, but after i played a demo i got from PC Gamer, i saw that it was extremely good!

I did know, it used the Quake III engine, and would therefor have the same graphics, not that the graphics from Q3 are bad, but i'd prefer the graphics used in Deus Ex and Soldiers of Fortune!... well i bought it, and i don't regret the 50$

Everything about the game is very detailed, and well done, such as... the graphics, the same as Q3, pretty nice... all scenario is very detailed and beautiful. The weapons are detailed, and the rails, or blasts, are extremely cool. Also storywise, it's great, and promotes the game. The plot is very much like a Voyager episode, and you really feel, like you are one of it's crew..... a guest star.

a fantastic game, you won't regret it.... much action, good story... etc

This is a "MUST"

Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force is an fps with a great story driven single player gameplay and built on the fantastic quake III arena engine. It has a good storyline with perfect voice acting and a pretty good AI. I played it on the default opengl video mode and the game runs very smoothly. The graphics are fantastic, the xen like alien levels look very georgeous, sound recording is good. charecter animation are great, crew members look very life like. The level load times are good and save games do not eat up disk space. The length of ellite force is just right and it has a great multiplayer and single player tournament gameplay. The gameplay is good, but mostly you are playing with the AI team members and it is quite bad. The level design is good and there are lots of great puzzles to be solved, Action gameplay is slightly dissapointing as some of the levels are very linear and some of them are very difficult. I did not like the selection of weapons in ellite force, they are very badly done, their effects are very disspointing, almost all weapons just shoot a straight line of colored light. Star Trek Voyoger: Ellite Force is the best star wars based game ever made but i wish it was a little better as it is devoloped by raven software.

The Best of the Best!

This game is the best game I have ever played for the computer; AND IT GET'S BETTER!!!!! If you buy the expansion pack it should get more than 5 stars. The graphics are great, and if you like adventure you can play the single-player mode (entering enemy ships like the borg and the ethereans, and battling exotic aliens) !!!OR!!! play games like free-for-all (shoot everyone in sight), team holomatch (same as free- for-all but with teams), and capture the flag (capture the enemy team's flag to score points and win!) There are more types if you buy the expansion pack! This game is worth the money and so is the expansion pack. GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!

Wow..........

Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force is by far the best Star Trek game out there and is definatly a top notch FPS. Die hard Star Trek fans will easily become in the game's immersive story line. The game is also very realistic in tune to the show. On the Borg Cube, for the first part, the Borg won't even notice you until you fire at them, but then...lets just say i hope you have an
I-MOD cannon with lots of energy. there are nine weapons, everything from the little, but trusty phaser to the awesome photon torpededo cannon. You'll also fight just about everybody, including the Borg, Hirogen, and Kazon. Since Elite Force is built on the incredible Quake III arena engine, it is extremely smooth, looks and sounds great. A definate must-buy.

It is like you are om the star ship Voyager actually talking with every one. You like what Seven Of Nine says, "You seem to have developed an unhealthy obession with me." thats jut one of thousands.

Not a great expansion product for single-play

I really liked the Elite Force game, though I felt like it was Lara Croft in a not so sexy outfit (I guess you can tell I chose the female lieutenant?). So, when I saw that there was an expansion pak out, I snapped that puppy up. Well, it was very disappointing for someone who likes single-player games. I can't recommend this expansion pak for people who like single-player games, maps, and mods.
