This was one of my fav 64 games even though it did have a few problems(but they are solved now thanks to the DS). I love this game and can spend a whole day just messing around with it x3 I am so glad they came out with this for DS with a few tweaks(definetly better graphics & camera control).

before I review, let me point out something. IF YOU have played the N64 version of Mario 64, there is not much of a difference here. This game differs to the original by it's addictive mini games, and the three new players added on. Each player has their own job which you need to get past certain points. The players are obviously Luigi, (my favorite!), Yoshi, and Wario! This should be your first choice to get on your DS. Oh yeah, it has 30 extra stars! I love this game despite the d-pad you play with.

I've played the 64 version of Mario when it first came out, one of the first 3D graphic games out there. And now, it comes to a WIRELESS handheld system with a touch screen. Now it offers 3 new characters (Wario, Lugi and Yoshi) with about 50 more stars. I got the game the first day DS came out and its hard to still put it down when your name is called in the Dentist office. Multiplayer is a bit stinky with the time limit but hey, its mostly a 1st player game anyways. Great game.

Mario 64 was made even better with the addition of Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi. I would say that the graphics for this version are also a little better than the Nintendo 64 version. Added to this version was also the balloon mario where you can float up, easier than flying. The controls are different from the original, but are easy to get used to. With Mario 64 better than ever, and even portable, this would be one of the best 5 Nintendo games I've ever played. It is surely a must for the DS.

AWSOME!!!!!!! BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not own the N64 version but I rented it a lot. When I heard they had Super Mario and Mario kart for DS I went and got a nintendo DS for christmas about a week ago with Super Mario and mario Kart. I could not stop playing Super mario. My Nintendo DS almost shut down at least 20 times and i had to hook it up to the wall. The graphics are sweet. Much better than N64. My brother threw a pillow at me and I still continued playing. but you can now play as Wario, Yoshi, and Luigi. I wish you could have played as Yoshi more. There are some stages that are hard and some that are easy. The music goes along extremely well with the game. This might sound stupid but I got really emotional when I completed it and was watching the credits. I would give it a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars out of 5 stars

One word: AMAZING!

People here talk about analog control often, but I do not think it is a problem. I can control characters well with the old control. It feels something different. I mean it feels softer and easier to control. I think Nintendo puts a new life to it. I remember my thumb hurt after I played SuperMario 64 on the N64 for a longer time. NDS's one is perfect. Well, NS' graphics are not better than N64's version, but the problem is not that obvious since the screen is much much much smaller. The sound is not loud enough. If you play the game in public, it will bother you if you care about the sound effect. Because there are 4 characters with different ways to jump, attack, and run, it gives us more fun. Some stages require a certain character to beat. Luigi is my favorite since he jumps higher, runs faster, and also he can swirl in the sky after he jumps very high. Besides, he can be invisible to go through fences or some mirror. Wario is clumsy although he is the strongest one. Winds can not blow him away if he becomes metal. And he can break solid bricks. Yoshi can eat enemies and turn them into eggs or throw up those enemies in his stomach to hurt other foes. And he can swallow fire to melt ice. Mario has the avarage ability. One thing I like is he can be like a balloon flying in the sky. Something I dislike is the last stage only allows Mario in. Well, if you can catch all the rabbits with different characters, there will be many mini games for you. Some just help you kill time. There are many things waiting for you to find out. Hope you will like it.

The Best Game For The NDS Ever !!!

This game has the best Nintendo DS graphics other than GoldenEye and Splinter Cell.
I think this is the best game out for the Nintendo DS because of the Action and Adventure.
This has mini-games that are really fun for traveling.
Touch Mario`s head on the menu you can draw then play around with it like sretch it and make it spin around.
This game you have to play as Yoshi and then unlock Mario, Luigi, and Wario.
There is a cheat so you can play as Bowser and Priness Peach but I have no idea how to get them.
Well now Super Mario 64 DS comes with the NDS but if you already have a NDS and not Super Mario 64 DS get it now !!!
