The fact that this is a Microsoft product says it all - it's a memory-hogging game with a ton of "ease of use features" that just serve to make it bland and boring. Oh yeah - it also crashes if you go too far off the beaten path.

If you want to watch a demo of nice technology that needs a little interaction from you, this is the game for you. Heck it even fights battles on your behalf.

But if you want a fun game, get anything else.

This game is awsome! There are so many possibilities that one could spend forever exploring the land. It's very 3d. It's amazing how one could fall off a bridge and end up in a land very far away. That is what make a great 3d game. Not only is the single player mode great, but the multiplayer is awsome! Being able to design your own levels is an awsome feature!

When I firs saw this game, I thought it would be like Empire Earth of Age of Empires. I was dead wrong. This game has awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, there's challenge involved. I would consider it an awesome combination of Gauntlet Legends, Nightmare Creatures,and Quake, only with 100 times better graphics, completely costimizable players, and over 200 weapons and spells! Exploring this amazing 3-D landscape is practically just as fun as fighting the monsters. And monsters! This game has the widest assortment of ghouls and creatures I have ever seen, and killing them in engrossing 3-D fights is half the fun. Personally, I think that the people who say this game is bad should see a neurologist, because I have never seen a more engrossing game in my computer game history.

The engine is lovely and detailed, the world is lush. But it's VERY VERY linear...at least the single-player game is.

There are worse ways to spend 50 bucks, but better ways to spend 50 hours. I bought it because of all the hype and screen shots I reviewed, but all in all, it was like Diablo II on steroids. The technology is great, but the game just didn't hook me like Diablo II did. Maybe it's because Diablo burned me out and this wasn't enough to keep my interest. For a 12 y/o kid it might be fun, but besides that, it's just kind of boring after a short while. I can't think of another concept or story line that would make this game better, but that's not my job. I think it's worth the 50 bucks, but I'm just not "WOW-ED" about it like I thought I would be. I'm sure the technology used will eventually spawn something better, something more interesting, something more intellectually sophisticated. Sorry Gas Powered and MS, if this game came out right when Diablo II did, maybe you would get a better score. But the intellectually concept of this game is dated. And in technology, everything is counted in DOG YEARS.

Wake me up please when Neverwinter nights comes out, or leave me in my coma until Warcraft Worlds.

Sorry guys iam so so so disapointed ive played D&D since the days of pen and paper taking my buddies through a dungeon with graph paper. Now this was meant to play by the same rules yet no Map editor ?? and wheres the love and feel for your characters. I dont care if my jaw hit the floor with the graphics the gameplay is well err Zzzzz Zzzzz Zzzzz

This is an adventure game. The beginning of the game is very sad where your hero's friend dies. But it is a very good game to play. This game does have blood and gore but it doesn't look like real blood like Doom 3 on X-box. But It's a very good game.
