I'm such a side-seat driver

I admit I'm horrible at first person shooters. I actually only ever play them when I'm hunting after friends who are also playing. One of my best guy friends bought this and I said I'd go hang out with him while he played.

... I couldn't beat this game alone, by any means, but it was actually the most fun I've had watching someone else play a game since I was a little kid "helping" my older brother play doom (<-- mostly just saying, "watch out!" "where'd that come from?" and "here's what you need to try").

I recommend it for the video game watchers everywhere! The graphics were awesome (big screen hd tv helped), there was just so much of everything to look at, and a second person can actually be the navigator (especially on levels like Cortina!)

This game is fun!

Played this at a friends house and it's great. As soon as I get my flashing red lights hardware problem fixed this game will be spinning for hours.

4 player co-op is excellent

If you enjoyed Halo and Halo 2, buy this game immediately. I don't know and don't really care what people don't like about this. They're probably Sony representatives trying to hold down the thrashing they'll take this holiday season. Halo 3 is great fun. The ability to play campaign mode with 4 player co-op is a blast. It may not be as "pretty" or "immersive" as some other titles, but it's a lot more fun than Gears or Bioshock if you like multiplayer gaming.

This game was too over hyped plus sound effects for the weapon was weak,graphics was not up to 360 standard bungie the guys who made this game got LAZY and gives us a half a$$ game.Those who gives this game more than 3 stars are not true gamers and they dont now what is good for what isnt there just wanabe gamers.

Ok frist of all I would like my money back. This was just to fast of a game. Ok it looks great and plays great but man it took me long to bet the other Halo games. Look this game is not all that. I think they blew it with this one.

Less then the first and the second and the second was just alright. I only played this game to see the end of the story which to put it bluntly sucked bungie really blew their load on the first halo.

What took so long...Finally a game I beat all by myself!

As soon as I inserted this game into my hungry Xbox 360 it was as they say...it's on. My fondest memory is being behind firing missiles at that scarab for the first time and blowing a hole in it. I salivated as I slay many foe with my guns blazing. The story kept me in my seat for hours the sheer power of this game grips me. I beat this game in a matter of days and enjoyed the effort I put forth to get to the heartbreaking final moment. My heart felt heavy and I nearly shed a tear. I wanna thank the creators for this chance to be a part of history. Buy this game and take my word for it you wont regret it. Fanatic or not be a part of history.

Halo 3 is one of the best games the Xbox 360 has to offer. This game is what people have been waiting for for 3 years. Did Bungie hit the bull's eye in Halo 3? Most definitely.
Halo 3 is the rave on Xbox Live; it is one of the most played game next to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Both games rival in superiority, that one must wonder how these two games have gained praise and fame.
Halo 3 is the last entry in the Halo video game series. The first Halo came out on Xbox in 2001, and its success spawned Halo 2, which later spawned Halo 3.
The multiplayer in Halo 3 is really fun. You can have up to 16 players on a map. You are allowed to customize your character's appearance, colors, and symbols based on your liking and personality. There are about 15 maps in the game, and more downloadable maps on the way. Since there are so many people playing the game, you'll meet a large variety of people, most of them friendly and supportive.
There is a film save feature, which allows you to see everything that happened during a multiplayer match or campaign from different perspectives. You can even save clips or pictures to show other people.
Another one of the game's highlights is forge-the map editor. What makes this fun is that you can battle your friends while you edit the map. This lets you buy a weapon, vehicle, equipment, or map prop, which you can carry around. Each map has a budget, so you have a limit on how much you can buy.
The storyline is short but ended the series really well. There are 9 levels in the campaign, where you battle different kinds of aliens in vehicles and on foot with other marines. You basically play as super soldier Master Chief who is fighting the Covenant (the aliens) for humanity's survival. The cooperative mode lets you play with 3 other friends, all of them different characters. Easter eggs like skulls and hidden characters add some pizzazz to the game.
You may know that there is an equal number of people who love Halo 3 and hate it. If you like Sci-fi and/or shooter games, try it out first. I am almost sure if you play this game on harder difficulty levels and play ranked multiplayer matches, you'd be addicted to this for a good portion of 2 years.
As a total package, Halo 3 is worth the 60 dollars. The limited and Legendary edition is for die hard Halo fans and those who want to play the game but also learn more about it.
Halo 3 disappoints and impresses others, but almost everything from books to movies are like that. If you know the whole Halo story, this is the best out of all of them, even the novels. The ending is awesome but somewhat saddening, too. This is the end of a great story. This is Halo 3.

Two player co-op split screen is AWESOME!

I have never liked Halo 1 or 2. Figured I would give this a shot, and the experience is incredible. Co-op mode is so much fun. There are so many things two people can do as far as having one person drive the other shoot in the same vehicle. There are a variety of different vehicles to choose from as well. You can flank different enemies, its not just two people shooting at the same thing. I found it to be long too, two 5 hours sessions and we're only about half through. We didn't rush through it though. Seems a lot less juvenile also. One gripe, when you play co-op mode the screen reverts to a 4:3 aspect ratio and you have vertical bars on each side of the screen. I haven't played many split screen games, but I know this isn't common. I recommend this game.

Have been playing co-op single player through xbix live, what a great invention! So much fun. We play so much more now! This game still hasn't gotten old. The AI is also very top notch.

well the title says it all.... come on cod4 is great but halo still rules the 360 world...to compaire this halo with cod4 i can jump higher turn around faster.... the gun's are better... u can NOT shoot through walls .. which is stupid.... this is the best game out ... u CAN NOT BEAT THE REALNESS OF THIS GAME
