When I first booted up Halo 3, I was awestruck by the spectacularly beautiful graphics. The forests look like the amazing paintings of William Bouguereau. Halo 3 is a grand masterpiece. It's a very slick and polished game. The graphics really do look next-gen. They're much better than the graphics in Halo 2, which were very good. There is just so much amazing detail and sophisticated 3D rendering in Halo 3. This is a fantastically great work.

All the Halo 3 bashers really tick me off. Their bashing is not justified at all. They are just negative, nasty, ungrateful, jealous people who like to criticize & trash things, and they decided to trash Halo 3 because it's such a huge target. The Halo series of games has attained such immense greatness, that all the nasty people can't resist trying to knock it down. That's just pure garbage. There is nothing lacking about Halo 3 whatsoever. They are jealous that they never created anything anywhere near as great as Halo 3. They are jealous of all the success of Halo 3. This is so wrong. Halo 3 DID live up to expectations. The proof is in how many copies it sold and how much money it made. All this bashing is a bunch of lies, because the truth is revealed by how many people bought and played this game. It's just that some bought and played and enjoyed this game but can't help trashing it because that's just how they are, through no fault of the game.

As for me, I'm very appreciative of the massive amounts of hard work that approximately 300 people in Bungie poured out for several years to create this amazing game. I give them a standing ovation. And I am looking forward very much to Halo 4. No announcement of Halo 4 has been made, but I am absolutely sure there will be one. I have only one request: no more flood please. I would rather not fight any more gross looking undead zombies.

Best for Last

This might sound biaesed but i'am a halo fan. Before you go off and grab the pitch forkes hear me out. I had my doubt about Halo 3 after the dissiapointment of Halo 2. I was one of those people who early on said that Halo 3 was going to stink and that it was goig to fail etc. But boy was I wrong! I don't want to make this as huge review but i'll do my best
The story follows super solider John aka Master Chief aka Spartan 117. When you left off at Halo 2 Chief was on an forerunner ship headed to earth on his conquest to rid the galaxy of a hostile alien race known as the covinent and now he want to continue his crusade and save his trusty AI sidekick Cortana from the zombie like Flood. Basically this game ties up the Halo story in one of the best story telling in a game period, only Mass Effect and Assasins Creed can hold their own compared to Halo 3. The voice acting is some of the best ever recored and will never stop amazing you.
The game play is very similar but tweaked none the less to the other halo games and first-person shooters. You have your share of futuristic weapons and human lead shooters none the less. The game play is similar yet changes over the levels, in one level you are in a warthog(jeep) almost the entire time and in another you are blasting away alien ships with a tank, to keeping your sniper rile handy and battle rifle busy in another.
No matter what you hear Halo 3 is a stunner. The water and light effect are astounding and the character animations are increible. The AI of the enemy is one of the best parts, they are relentless and brutal expecially when you bump up the difficulty. The frendly AI is almost brain dead but they get by. The forge, a map maker to your own imagination, is great to do what you wish with any multyplayer map.
The XBOXLIVE is by far one of the best aspects, there is so much to do. I don't want to go into details other wise this review will be 10 pages long, it is the best online play ever created and is only matched by Call of Duty 4 but I think Halo 3 wins over all, the connectivity is better and less lag rather than COD4 which has amazing onlineplay but lackes better internet connectivity.
Over all Halo 3 is incredible. Any fan to Halo or SCiFI shooter will love halo 3. Don't listen to one to three star reviewers and forrum bashers who say that Halo 3 is not a good game. Those people obvioulsy over estimated one the best games of the new melenium.

What can I say? IT'S HALO!!!

I bought this for my 12 year old son but my 10 yr old daughter, 18 YO son, and husband all love this game andplay it all the time. There are lots of new things to do and Easter Eggs to find. They love the new play modes and although they have beaten it and made it to the end already, they find new ways to play all the time. Die hard Halo fans will not be disappointed with Halo3

^__________^
WOW! awesome work with the story unlike Halo and even Halo 2 had much in want. But this was just WOW! The replay value on this game is stagering between mutiplayer or Co-Op online and the ability to watch and save previous game plays is great. The new weapons Rawk! and the graphics are a great combination of new tech and original artistry. I really just love this game ^^

Grandson loves it.

My 10 year old Grandson got the console and Halo 3 for Xmas and absolutely loves it. We pondered long and hard whether or not it was appropriate for a boy his age, and decided that, for him, the war action and violence was not harmful, rather it was a means of cleansing his general sense of fearfulness or powerlessness. This is a kid who cries when a pet dies in a movie. This is a kid who is not shy, or introverted, or "dark", or mean. He plays sword-versus-monster games with his friends, then runs inside to catch Billy cartoons or to read Calvin and Hobbes books.

The game is all about different weapons and explosions and alien enemies. We believe that experiencing the roles in mythic themes is not a bad thing for him. While we might prefer his curiosity and focus lay in math or basketball, we realize we ultimately will not eliminate whatever fascinations he holds for his world, and that withholding sometimes merely increases the attraction.

Keeps Him Outta My Hair!

My husband loves his new Halo3. He's a fan of the first two and this one took the game to a new level. The crisp graphics and first person shooter ability really make the game a personal experience. He plays it often and it keeps him outta my hair for awhile.
