Halo 3 Ends in Style

I hated halo until i actually played it! I could not understand all the hype, but this game has a grapling story and great gameplay. Its intresting how cortona is distressed because she's a machine and its impossible but bungie pulled it off. I was dying for Halo 3 to come out, and when i got it and beat the story i was 100% satisfied, although short it was okay because you can always replay and find something new every time or go to multi player! really a great game and dont go by what anybody says about this game one way or the other. If your unsure rent one of the halo games and decied for yourself whether you like it. You might be pleasntly surprized! But my overal thought of this game is AMAZING, so check it out and decied if you want to finish the fight!

Graphics great, gameplay great, online the best so far. I thought Gears of war was great. This takes the cake. A must have game, and definetely game of the year! It's worth the purchase.

It's Halo...and I like Halo

It almost lived up to the hype. Considering this game broke entertainment industry records and established one of the largest fan followings before it was even released, that's saying a lot. It had a lot to live up to.

Halo 3 brings back some parts of Halo 1 that I loved, and kept the Halo 2 elements that worked. If you're a fan of the series, you won't be let down. The campaign is a bit short, but I'm looking forward to playing through it again, and online play never gets old.

If you're not a fan of the series, don't expect this one to change your mind -- it's still a Halo game and it doesn't try to be anything else.

Halo 3 Overhyped?

I don't know what people were expecting from Halo three... it's the final chapter in the Halo series. It doesn't cure cancer or answer the meaning of life... it's a Halo game. If you liked the first two, you will love this one. If you hated the first two... get the idea? Ok. Now for the Halo vs Gear of War fodder:

I played GOW. I liked it. Are the graphics awesome? Oh yes... colors? A little bland... personally I saw it as a corridor game... you run from one conveniently located barricade to another.. kinda like a rat in a maze. I mean you couldn't even jump for crying out loud. I thought the graphics were a little over ambitious as the frame rate stuttered often, especially in the cinematic scenes. Multiplayer was a blast of course... storyline a little vague, and it ended too quickly for me. I wanted to believe the train wasn't the last stage...

Halo 3? I think it did good at many things instead of doing excellent at few things. The graphics are great... vibrant colors, I think the lower res at a gain of better HDR lighting was a good choice as the frame rate is consistent and adds more dramatic flair to the action. No it's not 720p, but neither is Darkness on the PS3. Most demanding games will not offer true native 1080p. Get use to it: this generation of gaming systems is not capable of meeting that standard with any consistency. Let's not even talk about upscaling, because that doesn't even count. Have you seen an upscaled dvd @ 1080p and compared it to a hi-def movie @ 1080p? Give me a break. Multiplayer was as fun as you can expect from Halo and the reply mode cannot be understated. Consider that everything in the gameplay environment is rendered so you can take some awesome screenshots in replay mode and it makes you appreciate the visuals a bit more. GOW, COD, and MOH games look better, but limit what you are able to see and do. Halo 3 is all encompassing and made compromises that offer a consistent experience.

To have IGN, Gamespot, AND Gamepro give this game high marks says alot. Everyone hating on Halo 3 is just mad it's the biggest single day money maker in entertainment history. Haters, hate all you want... Halo 3 is GREAT SUCCESS!!!

This is not only the best of the Halo trilogy, but also the best game ever. Great storyline and amazing visuals. I couldn't stop playing. Finished it in two days.

I just received the game (the 2 disk metal box edition) and the box is dented and scratch and way worse, both disks are scratched all to hell!!!

Did an Amazon employee take it home and f it up before sending to me? I don't know but I'm mad as hell!

This is the best game on Xbox 360 (except for Bioshock). Gears of War was great and still is but this topped it. I don't think that the "Legendary" edition was really worth it but the "Limited and Standard" editions are well worth the price. Anyone that rates this game lower than four stars is on Sony's payroll... If anyone from Bungie reads this, THANK YOU!!!

Halo 3 is worth the price and all the hype. Graphics are superior, action is continual and the game keeps a kids interest. The story is well written and the game overall is an A+ for action and adventure.

Wow what a game Halo 3 is. It's hard to describe it, you have to try it for yourself. The graphics, colors and details and simply amazing. I'm playing it in 480i but I was blown away, can't even imagine what it looks like in 1080i. Controls are fenomenal, but you have to adjust to them if you're used to Halo 2 controls. One thing I don't like is the new dual wield button which is RB1, I like it more when it was Y.
If you played and finished Halo 2, you might want to increase the difficulty because if you play it on normal the game is not very challenging.

Bungie has captured much of what made the original game so entertaining. This is an excellent closer to the series....great graphics, challenging gameplay and the usual cast of characters with their smart aleck remarks. Oh, and yes, the Flood......

Highly recommended.
