After reading all the reviews, I didn't know what to expect from Halo 3. I'll tell you what I got: a visionary campaign mode with exhilarating game-play that gave me emotional rush after emotional rush, far exceeding my expectations. That's everything I want from a game. Halo 3 is for gamers who loved Halo and Halo 2, no doubt. Bungie presents the new with the familiar and it all satisfies. Perhaps the best compliment I can pay Halo 3 is that I played it directly after playing The Orange Box. As much as I loved Half-Life 2, the episodes and Portal, Halo 3 left me more satisfied. It is a wonderfully odd experience, not at all predictable as some claimed. I'm with the reviewers who gave it a 10. I'm just reviewing the Campaign mode here. Multiplayer will rock, I'm sure. But to the naysayers: whatever. Halo 3, for those like me, is a sublime gaming experience. Congratulations. You did it, Bungie.

Halo 3, although pricy as most games for the Xbox 360 are, is sure to guarantee weeks of fun. With a great campaign and multiplayer options, it is great to enjoy by yourself or with several friends. To optimize your Halo 3 experience, be sure to get Xbox Live Gold.

Ok for everyone out there that says this game is too short or anything like that, is right. But saying that there isn't enough to do? Thats just plain not true. This game out plays Halo 1 and Halo 2 like crazy! Halo 3 offers way more than Halo 1 or 2. For example if you have XBOX LIVE like me, you can get all of the Online achievements and get Different Armor besides the normal MARK VI, like Security, Hayabusa, EOD, Rogue, and many others. And you can now change the emblem to be almost anything you want and there are a lot more colors to choose from to change your Spartan for Split Screen or Online play. Now if you don't have LIVE this game can get boring. And the Campaign can get quite frustrating on Legendary. But even so this game is DEFINITELY on the top 5 best shooters ever. And definitely one of the best shooters for 360 if not the best. I my self have almost beaten all the levels on Legendary and almost have all the Achievements and I still enjoy playing this game online or off. And why people don't like halo for lack of Weapons makes no sense to me as there are more Weapons in this shooter than any other shooter I've played. Seeing as they mixed Halo 1, 2 and new Halo 3 weapons into this game. Overall, one of the best games ever. This being said I do not like Nintendo and everyone insists that Nintendo has the best games, well I just beg to differ. Halo 3 is MUCH better than any Wii game I've played and I have played ALOT of Wii games (my best friend and cousin has a Wii and I dislike alot of the games). If you do not have Halo 3, do buy it. It is well worth you're money.

HALO 3 (Plot Simplified)

Introduction:
Okay, I'm writing this review because of an article I read in Gamepro magazine that said that HALO's plot was so difficult that not even it's biggest fanboys could follow it, and I strongly disagree. I do not consider myself to be a HALO fanboy and in my opinion, HALO's story & plot are rather easy to follow compared to other games out there.
So, just so you know, I won't be writing much about the gameplay here. There are already plenty of other reviews for that, my review is to simplify the plot so that anyone who read that article or heard from a friend that HALO's story/plot are too difficult to follow can read it and draw their own conclusions...
Why? Because HALO is one of the greatest games I've ever played, and I'd hate for anyone to miss out on it because some people happen to think that it's plot/story are to difficult to follow.

The Plot: (Simplified)
In the future, human kind has finally created space ships capable of interstellar travel. However, this has caught the attention of The Covenant, an alien race of religious extremeists who view human kind as some kind of great demonic presence. (Sound familiar?) Now human kind is locked in an epic struggle for survival against The Covenant.

The Marines: Human kind's finest soldiers. Unfortunately, The Covenant soldiers tend to make short work of them...

The Covenant: An alien race of religious extremeists bent on the destruction of the human race.

Spartan II: Super soldiers trained for combat since they were just children, complete with cybernetic enhancements, the Spartan II's are the only soldiers who can go toe to toe with The Covenant's soldiers and hope to prevale. Unfortuately, since the Covenant attack on the human space colony "Reach" only one Spartan II was known to survive. Spartan 117, the Master Chief.

Reach: A human space colony that was attacked and destroyed by The Covenant.

Spartan 117, the Master Chief: The ultimate Spartan II, capable of handling both human & covenant weapons & vehicles. Man kind's last hope for survival.

HALO: A ring world created by the Forerunners as a last resort against The Flood.

Forerunners: An ancient alien race that is now extinct, they were responsible for the advent of HALO.

The Flood: A paracitic race of aliens, once they attach themselves to a human or covenant host, the host will begin to mutate and reproduce more Flood spores.

This is basically all you need to know about the HALO universe, the rest you will learn as you play through the game.
If what you've read so far sounds too complicated, then it probably is for you. if not, buy yourself a copy of "HALO: Combat Evolved" and let the adventure for the salvation of the human race begin!

I was never a big fan of FPS's, (First-Person Shooters) but HALO's smooth controls & epic story made me forget I was playing an FPS at all!

Overall Rating: 5 Stars!

This game is exciting and action-packed. The only downside is it does not seem long enough.

Outstanding game and I highly recommend it. It was the main reason that I also purchased a Xbox 360
