Don't expect an action pack shooter!

Got this game before the demo came out. If you like RB6 or COD4 with fast action FPS, don't get this game. Bioshock is a slow figure out the clues type of game, there is action but nothing like RB6 or COD4. This game reminds me of the old computer gaming days when you played Myst! This game has top of the line special effects and graphics but needs to improve on the action! I got this game with The Darkness as a package on Amazon for $49 so I guess I can't complain. Thanks Amazon for the deals, keep them coming!

perfect game

this is a really good game. the graphics are great without a hi def tv.the game takes place in an under water town rapture.while experementing with ADAM something goes horribly wrong. It creates countless monster and enemys.you get weapons from grenade launchers to pistols. and alot of awsome powers like telekinisis.i think this game was worth the 60 bucks. buy it

Original and Compelling

I have to admit that I knew about this game before it was released and I thought to myself, "Let's see just how much the reviewers like it!" Well, it did good in reviews so I went and picked up a copy. From the moment the game disk starts spinning to the minute the final boss was dead, I found myself attached.

THE GOOD:
Compelling story with several lessons that can be learned
Fast paced FPS
Easy to learn controls
Dark
AI that not only fights you, but seems to bring you more into the world with their conversations

THE BAD:
This part will seem almost sad to most, but as I said the story was excellent. The only part of the game I found to be terrible was the ending. The game ends in one of two ways and both of which aren't very good... Just don't expect something

It's been a great year for games, but Bioshock has to top my list as the best gaming experience I've had. It's a game about an underwater Utopian society that has somehow gone horribly wrong...and that's as much as I'm willing to tell you story-wise, other than there are two different endings depending on how you play.

Not descriptive enough? It's for your own good. Get the demo from Xbox Live if you're unsure, but get this game.

From the storyline to the graphics to the philosophy, Bioshock takes the FPS genre to a new level. This is the thinking man's Halo 3. Check out the Ayn Rand Institute web site. Don't read too much on the game before the first time through. Halo3 has online multiplayer but I have no desire to revisit the campaign. I want to replay Bioshock to pick up on the details that I missed the first time.

I bought this with the deal they had a little while ago where if you buy bioshock, you get the darkness free. Anyways, I played this game and It's pretty fun, definitely better than halo 3(I dont want to get threatning messages or emails about this.) This is one of my favorite FPS's right now and if you have a 360, you should buy it as it is a good one for your game library.

Bioshock for XBOX 360 is a very addictive and challenging game. The graphic is so gorgeous on high definition, even on standard definition TV. 2K (producer of the game) really did marvelous job with this game. The game play, level complexity, dialogues, and story plot really engaging and hard to predict. It has element of horror and puzzle. Enemy AI really advanced. i.e. You would be facing a vending machine; when you turn back you would have a splicer ready to crack your head with the wrench; but he waits until you completely turn around.

Bioshock is not rated Teen because of language and gory graphic. I hope they will come up with Bioshock 2 or similar theme in the future.

The only negative thing I can say....this year, 2007, My wallet and bank account hate my guts!

With that being said, this game easily sets a benchmark for future FPS' and FPS'!

All these great games being release back to back are killing me though!

Bioshock is a innovative first person shooter for the Xbox360 and PC. Where as most FPS games involve moving from point A to point B, Bioshock is different. It utilizes many puzzle solving aspects and allows the player many different options to playing the game. One could run and gun like any regular FPS, or they can solve puzzles to outsmart the computer. One innovative aspect to Bioshock is Plasmids. Plasmids are injections your character gets that allows him to do many different effects, like shoot lightning from his hands. One downside to Bioshock is the lack of multiplayer. The entire game is only single player, and some people may not like that. Overall I feel that Bioshock's single player is one of the best I've played in a while and I feel you should atleast pick it up and give it a try.

Played start to finish... Loved it!

This is one of the best games I have played! Very entertaining and kept me playing all the way through the game. Not many games keep me to the end as I always have something new to play.
