Yes I am a 30 year old mom but I have been playing Animal Crossing for a week. Its a fun game that is a variety from the repetative (yet always fun) Big Brain Academy & tetris. Animal Crossing is like a whole new world that you have control over. There are soooo many littel things you uncover in the game on a day to day basis. One thing that is hard to get used to, but very cool is that the game plays on real time.. So at 10 pm on Jan 2nd its dark and there is snow on the ground. At 1am on Jan 1st fireworks were going off for new years. Whats hard is that the shops close (on the game) at 11pm so if you dont play before then you have to wait until 8 am for them to "open" All in all its a very fun game for "kids" of all ages :)
Best Game On The Face of The Earth! ahem.

This game is unbelieveably cool! There is so much to do, and so much to see! If you want music for your house, go to the coffee shop at the museum at 8 p.m. and ask the dog(K.K. Slider) to play a song. To successfully do this, you have to ask for a song that's on his "list". EXACT spelling and punctuaton are crucial, otherwise, it won't work. I'm sure there are song lists online with correct grammar. I got my song list by copying it from my friend's official guide that he let me borrow.(which is why I still don't have "Neopolitan".) I highly reccomend the guide as well, it tells you EVERYTHING! (exept that if you fill your letter slots with letters and attach presents, you get 10 extra storage spaces!)
So in conclusion: THIS GAME RULES AND I KNOW BECAUSE IT IS STILL HARD TO FIND AT SOME STORES LIKE MY LOCAL TARGET AND MY WALMART NEVER EVEN HAD IT TO BEGIN WITH!!!!! thank you.

I agree with everyone about how cool this game is,so I'm not going to go into detail about that. But I HAVE to stress one problem about this game as was the case with the gamecube version...day/night cycle.
Sometimes I feel like animal crossing almost punishes players for the time that they play.As one reviewer already mentioned;there are alot of us who have jobs and do other such things in real life during the day. There are even more of us who are just natural night owls. However Tom Nook closes up his shop around 10 pm and most everyone in the game is asleep.Man,if I wanted a curfew,I'd go back in time to the grade school days!
I hope in some future installment of animal crossing;things take place in a big,Japan-esque city.Something would always be happening and stores would stay open 24/7.
great in the begining, turns into a chore....

When I first got this game, i was blown away!! I played every day, as much as i could!!! I was addicted to this game. but, about, a month an 1/2 later, the selling, and buying, and fishing, and checking the shop, began to seem like a chore.... when I usually played it after school, it would be fun, but after a while I began feeling like I had to do it. like if i didnt i'd miss out on the sales, or lose my neighbors. and being that your neighbors can move if you dont play, when i came back from vacation, i was afraid to turn it on to see how many people left. How many of my favorite neighbors moved??? it took my like an extra 2 weeks to finally be able to turn it on, that all my friends, and neighbors were gone, and a whole bunch of new people replaced them.I've never really played it again, because like I said, it starts out fun, and turns int a chore...

Ok, maybe not the whole world, but the whole Animal Crossing world.
This game is really fun. I played it on my friend's ds. At first I thought it was really confusing and I didn't know where I was going, but then I bought the game myself and relised how to do everything.
You can catch bugs and fish, make friends with the cool (and cute) animals, write letters, plant flowers, shake trees, write bulletin board messages, decorate your house with cool stuff and can paint the roof (you have to get upgraded to Nookingtons), pay morgage for expansions on the house, design clothes and constelations ,and collect items for the museaume. You can also get animals pictures (I have 4).
You first start out with a small little house with a cardboard box, and a candle. No money. Nothing. The first payment on your morgage is 20,000 bells. Then, Tom Nook makes you work in his shop to earn money. You get to walk around and meet your neighbors. If you get lost, you can pull out your map.
I could go on and on about this awesome game, but that would take too long. If you do buy it, I sugest going to http://www.animalxing.com for help, or you can buy the guide that Amazon sells.
P.S. Peanut, Apollo, Jermiah, Camofrog, Cheif, Punchy, and Pecan are awesome.
Great, but was expecting more

Animal Crossing is a wonderful game, even if you don't have the GameCube version like me. But I was expecting more. The commercial was kinda exaggerating like how the characther said "I caught a zebra turkeyfish!" I thought you could sorta IM in a way to other "crossers." But actually you just say it out loud and nothing happens. *cricket chirps* But otherwise the game's great with the graphics and you never get bored with fishing, catching bugs, and mingling with your neighbors. Should ya buy it? Yeah, but if you are into fighting and adventure, I don't reccomend it.
animal crossing returns!!

If you've played the animal crossing that was for the game cube, you know how much fun and addictive this game is. If you're an AC fan, you should know what is different about this game.
1.There are no real holidays like Halloween or Christmas:(, but there are holidays such as Bright Nights and the Fireworks Fest that are just as fun. Believe me.
2.There are TONS of new characters such as Dr. Shrunk, the therapist who gives you emotions, Lyle the insurance agent, and many more.
3.There is a way to visit people's towns and talk to them using a keyboard, and you can use the emotions Dr. Shrunk gives you also.
4.There are hats of all kinds which I love because you can make out fits and all sorts of crap.
5.New places! After Tom Nook (the shop owner) gets Nookington's Department store, there should be a hair styling place where you can change your hair with Harriet the poodle. There is the museaum that many of us tried so hard to fill up; and now it's A LOT BIGGER! There is an observatory where you can make constalations, and a coffee shop called the Roost where Brewster the pigeon makes coffee which is very nice.
5.Lastly, there are oodles of new fishes and bugs, such as the giant Ocean Sunfish and the returning Arapaima.
Over all, this is a very, very, VERY fun game and I recommend that you buy it for hours of entertainment.
For the whole family

This game is a blast! It allows you to have up to 4 characters so everyone can have their own special person. We got my 8 yo her own game so she can play wireless with her riends or her sister.
The graphics are great and the tasks are not out of the range of an 8 year old or too easy for an adult.
I would highly recommend this for anyone!
Majorly Addictive

There's not much to say about this game that hasn't already been said. Once you pick it up, you don't want to put it down.
The game centers around earning money to build a better house. You fish, catch insects, gather fruit, and comb the beach for shells that wash up on the shoreline. That's just the tip of the iceberg!
The game plays in real time, which links up with the DS's internal clock/calendar, so characters reactions are often based on what time of day it is.
It really is difficult to portray exactly how great this game is.
All I can say is, buy it!
BEST GAME IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Animal Crossing:Wild World is, in my opion, a milder version of Harvest Moon. You don't do anything fancy, like getting married or stuff like that, but I would say it's like a starter game. If you want to buy any Harvest Moon game, you should buy Animal Crossing:Wild World first. You start out in a cab and tell the driver (Kapp'n) what your name is and your gender. Then you arrive at the town and meet the storekeeper, Tom Nook who built your house and who you have to pay morgage to. it really is a great game, and along the way, you get to meet diffrent residents of the town. You can send letters and explore the town in search of ways to make money. BOTTOM LINE:Get this game!
