the animals cross over to the DS

I am sure most folks already know about Animal Crossing. It has been brought to the DS and hasnt lost any of the fun and adventure that Animal Crossing for the gamecube had. Its even better now cause you can play the game on the go. Along with bringing friends over from other towns and visiting your town. It still has all the fun and being able to play the game for 5 minutes or 3 hours. Its all up to you and whatever you want to do or don't do. You can do just that. I find it funny how when you write an animal a letter. If its real long or has big words. They wont understand what your saying. But they still sent me gifts.

I've even sent a few a letter with some not cool things in it. I sent one a tire on time and got way better gift than i gave. It is just the fact you have everything that was fun to this version as well. Along with have an observatory so you can star gaze. You can actually plot some of the stars as well. It shows up in the night sky as well. Another plus of this game is the price. It costs less than the GC version did when it first came out. Basically its just so much fun to play and if you tired or bored with it. Come back to it later on in the day, depending when you come out different fish, insects and other things are out depending on the time of day...in essence giving you a totally different experience.

It's loads of fun and then some. It can be played by anyone no need to worry about excessive violence and is totally a family oriented game.

I had seen this game sitting on the shelf of a local store for a while, and it looked boring. The animals aren't very cute (at first glance) and the humans are really ugly. The description on the back of the box didn't help sell the game either. However, I took a chance and bought Animal Crossing Wild World because I like simulation games. I brought it home and went online to read reviews. All of the reviews were really great. So I kept the game and it was totally worth it (paid full price for a new copy $34.99 + tax). Animal crossing is basically a simulation game where you are an anime person living amongst strange animals in a tiny town. You relocate to this town and you move into a little house built for you by a racoon, Tom Nook. You have to work for Tom Nook and find creative ways to make money to pay off your mortage. Activities include shopping at Tom Nook's store, Able Sisters' store, mailing and receiving letters with attached presents, gardening, fishing, digging for fossils, catching bugs, visiting the museum, making constellations, collecting different types of fruit from other Animal Crossing players (you start out with 1 type) and the list goes on. The activities sound really mundane, but the game is actually quite addicting. The Wifi aspect of the game makes it more interesting and this is a good way to get non-native fruits to grow in your town. You need to exchange friend codes for this and Nintendo doesn't allow you to do so on their website. You have to find other websites that let you swap friend codes. Look for sites that have rate users, so that you have a good chance of finding some considerate players with which to interact.

This game is AMAZING!!!!!!

ACWW ROCKS and I mean THIS GAME IS AWESOME!
...but...

It's only fair that someone warns you customers about a few things in this game that you may find offensive:

1. In the winter, two snowballs are randomly placed around town every day, and you can roll them into snowmen. If you do it right they (the snowmen) give you presents. Sometimes you can find a dung beetle rolling the snowballs. You can catch it and give it to Blathers, the male owl at the museum. When you see it on exibit, you will find it rolling not a snowball, but a BROWN ball of....what dung beetles like to roll...

2. Just today, I shot down a UFO with my slingshot. When you do, find the alien, talk to him until he wakes up, then find his missing parts so he can fix his ship. Being a polite extraterrestrial, he will give you a present. (there are several different presents that you could randomly recieve, as shown in the nintendo guide) I got a "Mannekin Pis" statue. I looked at it in my house and found that it is a fountain that well, urinates. I will probably sell it.

3. When you turn the power off without saving, an extremely crabby mole will scold you next time you log in. Eventually, he will demand payment. When it happened to me, I had no bells with me.(Haha!) Many have complained about him. To avoid him, ALWAYS save. Just press START and a save message will pop up. This works anywhere. (considering you're in your own town.)

4. In Tom Nook's store, there is an item called "Men's Toilet". It even flushes!

5. Neighbors often gossip and sometimes fight with each other.

Despite these few faults, ACWW is a great game. These little things can be avoided if you so desire(except #5) and it's a very innocent game. Don't get me wrong. This is a pretty clean, enjoyable game. Go ahead. It's Animal Crossing, not "Attack of the Evil Animals From Hades". Just wanted to warn you about a few details. =)

Wow!

I never managed to get the GC version but wow... this is great! It's really a game you 'make yourself'- you can play however you want and that works really well. And the online is great- plus, noone can just come and steal all your stuff, or be rude to you, because of the friends codes. And there is an actual reason to go online- animals can move between towns and money is gained from foreign fruit. It's even fun to spend hours decorating your house, or wasting thousands buying wardrobes and coffee makers!

A really awsome game, especialy for those that like a long project!

I love this game - and the price is still $34.99

I got this game by sheer luck and timing shortly after Christmas. As many of you know, the game was sold out completely and resellers were charging an outrageous $50-$70 for a copy (which is what the other review is mistakenly referring to). Luckily, the crisis is now over and the game is available again.
This game is addictive and has amazing replay value. Unlike the previous game, the animals have more distinct personalities and interests that change over time. They interact with you more instead of saying the same 5-6 sentences over and over again.
The Wi-Fi feature is also a definite improvement. Finding a friend code is a bit of a pain, but it's very understandable. There are already reports on various forums of so-called Animal Crossing "Pirates" who come into your town and chop down all your trees - or as many as they can before you kick them out.
I'm not going to ramble on about the new features and characters since those are easily found and have probably been stated in these reviews already. This is just an all-around great game. I highly recommend it.

Ok, maybe you are looking into buying this game. PERSONALLY, I would highly recommend it! It has great graphics and hasn't frozen on me yet, plus, my friends have bought the game also. With more friends, you have more chances to get new stuff and more! I think this game is great for anybody. The DS makes great use of the touch screen and the controls in this fun game. I bought the first game and played it non-stop forever! I thought they might come out with animal crossing 2, but this is even better! They have simplified many things in this game and it's great, just great.
"It's great how they can take a great game and improve it so much, it keeps you busy forever" - anonymous
As for me, I'd have to agree!
This game is almost always in my DS at all times. Every day, theres new things to do, new things to dig up, new shells on the beach, new people, new everything! I hope this review helped, and I hope you decide to purchase this great game!

Addicted to this Game!

I bought this game for my child who is 10. I watched her playing it and decided to buy a DS and the game for myself! It's so nice to have an innocent game with no violence, no sexual overtones and just plain old fashioned fun. It also teaches a young child the need for good manners. If you don't say thank you in a letter for a gift received in this game you are not liked very much. One also has to write to the villagers to get better interaction during the game.

I like the idea of designing your clothes and furnishing your house and also the need to "earn" you own money to achieve these things. Fishing is fun (you never know what you might catch".

I would, and do, heartily recommend this game to all of my friends with children....even teeenagers! I know of a few adults too, who enjoy this innocent relaxation. It's a neat way to enjoy time with your child, too. Beware though....it IS addictive!

I LOVE ANIMAL CROSSING

In Animal Crossing I like to explore many places and buy spotlight products. I also like to dress up my person and decorate my house. I love putting up wallpapers and carpets. My wallpaper right now is the Parlor Wall and my carpet right now is the Palace Tile.

I like to visit the Town Hall, Main Gate, the Able Sisters, Tom Nooks Shop, and the Museum. I like digging up fossils. I love getting mail from the HRA. They once rated my room 116,542 points.

If you don't like it, it's okay with me but if you try it YOU'LL REALLY LOVE IT! If you connect with people you get to browse around their towns, which is really fun. I love to look at other peoples shops and houses.
in The Able sisters you can buy clothes, hats, wigs, masks, and helmets.

If you want to get music on your radio then on Saturday nights from 8-11 o clock there will definetly be a dog at the piano. You just go into the Museum then go down stairs to The Roost Coffee Shop. Turn left on the bottom corner. Then talk to the dog and tell him that you want music. Just say yes to the first question. I reccomend that you don't take requests because if you know music and spell it wrong or don't know any of his music at all, the dog K.K. Slider will not give you any music.
Hint: You can get 4 radio music pieces if you have 4 residents.
After that you just insert the music to your stereo in your house.

I like the residents in my town. My residents are Twiggy, Roscoe, Maelle, Tangy, Camofrog, Savannah, Joey, and of corse Tank.
Note: Residents who're all animals sometimes move from your town. More keep on coming in though so don't worry.

To move to another game card you have to go to the Town Hall. Then go to the Civic Center. Say I'm moving. Then get another person to go to immigration mode in other mode. Then talk to Capp'n.

If you want to connect go to Copper. If you want someone else to go to your town say invite guest. But if you want to go to somebody elses town say I want to go out.

If you talk to Sahara you have to deliver wallpapers and carpets. And if you complete your job you get rare wallpapers and carpets.

If you talk about Booker you could find out what's new in your town, change designs, and look in the Lost And Found Box.

I hope that my review helped you. Enjoy!

Going to buy a game? This is THE ONE!

This is an amazing game. There is lots of things to do, like picking fruit, senting letters and a "messege in a bottle" to people. You can also fish, pay off your house, and if you have a friend with a DS and animal crossind wild world you can visit their town and they can visit yours and you can trade items. The grapics are good, but ony because of the cartoonish style of the game. The storyline- you are a kid who has moved to a town by yourself (???)and are living in a town with animals that talk and measure up to your size somehow. And it is 100% appropriate for anyone, but average reading skills are needed to really do anything in the game, so I say you should be at least 5-7 to play this game, depending on how well you can read. This is a great first game for you if you are thinking about buying a DS as well, because it teaches you about most things tht the nintendo DS can do. BUY THIS GAME!!!
