I bought this game today and popped it into my Poke'mon edition N64. This game was very strange for a person who is use to Pro Skater 2. You have to use the C buttons to control it! IT'S INSANELY HARD TO GET USED TO!I'd say the contols suck,but I finnaly got used to them after about 15 minutes. The graphics are not as goo as I expected, but its what I get for a buck seventy four.I did find one very strange thing though, the title screen says the game is called "Tony Hawks's Skateboarding". Overall, I would say:

PROS:
More than Tony Hawk as a skateborder
interesting courses
very fun

CONS:
Cruddy graphics
funky controls
a trick named the sex change

This, my friends, is quite simply the BEST sports game on the market. I hate them as a whole. I find them a boorish waste of time, but...

This game is the BOMB! I honestly don't remember a better gaming experience. Also, the multiplayer is GREAT!

If you have an N64, and love good games, this is for you.

I just bought a Gamecube, and am planning on purchasing the Tony Hawk Games for it.

tony hawk pro skater is great, its graphics rock and there is so many courses and its a game were you get hooked

This game is good. It has the basic features and moves and levels. Its fun to play as you try and advance your man through his career. Also, it becomes very addictive. However, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 is out and has some incredible upgrades with new levels, people, and career options. I would recommend buying the newer version of this game, but don't get me wrong, this one is good too.

A must have!!!!

This game is eaisly the best skateboarding game ever made. I think its even better than 2. It is very fun for whenever and I highly recomend you get it.

One day I recieved my Nintendo Power magazine and it said some pretty awsome stuff about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. So I decided to rent it and I was simply blown away. it has amazing graphics, never ending replay value, and bunches of game modes to choose from. What more could you ask for in a game? Now I'm a proud owner of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater is one of the best games I've ever played. From the kickflip to the 900, every move is exactly what it really looks like, and this game includes seasoned pros like Tony, Bob Burnquist, Chad Mushka, and others. All around, it's a great game.

I bought this game took the blue (yes blue) cartridge out of the box and started to play. Now, a month after buying this game its the only one that goes in my N64 (except during Goldeneye Deathmatch sessions). This game is my new obsession. If you even remotely like skateboarding you must buy this game.You wont regret it. Its just too bad the N64 wont see the sequel to this awesome game.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater is a top of the line game, top of the line game, because of its control, gameplay, music and overall fun. There are a dozen popular skaters to chose from, each with their own tricks and talents. Each skater has about ten original, official and detailed skateboard, which you may customize the look of. The point of the game is you can either practice to learn the tricks, or you can take on seven skateboard courses, three skate parks. Every course is extremely detailed, and has five challenges for you to accomplish. You will have to go back through some courses to get all of the challenges, so you will not breeze through the game in a day. The down side is that there is no customizable skate park or skate boarder. You can begin this game and have fun and you can be a master at this game and still have fun. If you are concerned with the message there are no helmets or pads in this game.
