the first time i played this game I SUCKED give it some time (1-2 months) and you will be awesome - ive beaten the game with every guy (no cheats of course) and set all the high records- i can beat it on carrer mode in 1/2 and hour- so keep at it and you'll be as good as me

I have always wanted to try skateboarding, but I was afraid I would end up lying at the bottom of a halfpipe bleeding to death. Now with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater I can skateboard without the sidetrip to the emergency room aspect. This game has tight play control, great graphics (especially with the memory expansion pak), and an awesome soundtrack. You can do tricks, grind and just skate on just aboutanything that you see in the 15 areas. There are also 10 fully liscensed boarders including the king of the halfpipe himself, Tony Hawk. BUY IT!

This is the best game I have ever played on N64. The realism is amazing and the great part is you can't die. I've done everything in this game from getting hit by a taxi and a trolley to landing a 900 kick flip tail grab. If you are going to buy a new game for your N64 make it this one.

This is by far the best skateboarding game ever made. It has so many good tricks, places, and skaters, including Tony Hawk, Chad Muska, Bucky Lasek, Geoff Rowly, and many others. The number of tricks is awsome, and the variety is great. Career mode is one where you go to different levels, harder as they go on, collecting video tapes of you doing certain things. It requiers you to do a certain amount of tapes to move on to the next level, which you have to do to unlock that level in free skate.
It is a must buy if you own a N64. It has only one thing a little weird in it. The tricks are so easy to do, without codes or anything. you can pretty much just land 900 backfilp + kickflip if you get enough air. But it is still a challenge at some other things and definately a recommendation.

I got this game as a gift and I thought" I wonder about this game." I played the demo on Playstation and it was cool. I am better than my little bro. with Rune Glifberg, Andrew Reynolds, and Chad Muska. You get everything you need in one game! The only drawback is that you need a controller pak or Expansion Pak to save your best games. Get this game with a new N64 or if you have a controller Pak or Expansion Pak.

Finally a skateboarding game for N64, and it's ...! This isnothing like the PlayStation version. First off, the music is .... It is just repetive. Second off, the sound affects are nothing compared to the PlayStation one (I would give the PlayStation one 5 stars). Buy it if you don't have a PlayStation, but if you have a PlayStation, buy it for PlayStation.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater I thought was a cool game when I first played it. But when I got it myself I realized that this game is way to easy to beat and the point values are [messed up]. For example a kickflip is worth 100 points but so is a 360 degree spin. I know from experience in real life that a kickflip is much easier than a 360 degree ollie. The fun part of this game is multiplayer. You actually get to do something challenging for once. I would recomend getting Tony Hawks Pro Sk8er 2. It is a bit more challenging.
