Fly Like A Hawk!

Let's see what's addicting? Nicotine, alcohol, chocolate, and this game. I have played several skating games in the past but none compare with this one. This game is by far the best skating game out there! The game has everything you could poosibly want. It's packed with great graphics, tricks, and most importinally: FUN!

You can choose from several different players, the best is probally as you might have guessd Tony. The point of the game is to collect 5 tapes in each level and unlock other areas, those areas are more realistic as far as what you might see in real life. The tricks you can do in here are awsome and you get more points for the better the tricks and the combinations with them. You can also play for medals instead of tapes in a few of the areas. There are also hidden secrets you can discover.

This game is packed with tons of action and fun. If you or someone you know loves skateboarding and loves video games this is the greatest game out there! Buy it for yoursrelf or as a gift. It's incredibly addictive and has help me pass hours and hours away. You'll love this game as much as I do so go ahead and get this game and fly like a hawk.....Tony Hawk!

PS: I've played the PSX version too, and it is just as good, just in case you don't have an N64

this is the best game ever. i played it for psx but nintendo is toatally better the moves and skaters are great and even though i'm a girl i still love it.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is the best game in the whole N64 world! Great sound, music, graphics! It makes you feel like you are skating like the pro's! Buy it!

An Amazing Skateboard Game

I would extremely recommend you to get this game. It has cool graphics, good designs, and it is really fun. It would even be a little more fun if you have rumble pak or controller pak. Your goal is to play in Career Mode to unlock the stage. You have to start with Warehouse, Woodland Hills, then School Miami, then Mall New York, And so long. Another good things about this game is that there are many kinds of compettition you can choose, you can choose free skate, trick attack, graffgiti, or horse. Once again, I would really recommend you to get this.

I first heard about this game from a friend, but I never really liked skating games, they were too dull; but when I played Tony Hawk I immeadiately got hooked on it! The graphics are phenomenal, you can grind, pull tricks, and even bail into water! The tricks are real life moves and make you sweat to pull them off! I play it as much as I can, and as soon as I can! It is an unstoppable load of fun, for all ages!

Time flies when your having fun!

this game is awesome. I bought it in june and I am still playing it. The levels are huge and detailed, i spent days just skating the san francisco stage, the stages are huge and you'll probalbly never find every line possible in the game. The graphics are pretty good too. The controls are so simple and easy to get used to. In 5 minutes you'll be throwing down the hardest tricks. This game is so fun, this game should never get boring. It also includes music from bands like the Suicide Machines, Suicidal Tendencies, Goldfinger, and Primus. this game is worth every penny you pay for it.

this is amazing- the best game i have ever played. I played at my friend's house because his dad ownes a videogame store and gets them early. IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET A SPORTS VIDEO GAME-GET THIS!

This game is awesome. If you skate you have to get this game. It is just like you doing the tricks. If it is raining outside and you cannot skateboard then you can skateboard on your N64. Trust me get this game. If you don't you will regret it.

Good, but get the Playstation version instead

Extreme sports video games, up until the year 2000, were usually extremely lacking. The games often suffered from poor play control and graphics, and seemed rushed. But at long last, in the year 2000, Activision set out to correct all that had been done wrong previously with such titles. They went the extra mile to try to make the perfect skateboarding game. Did they succeed? Read on for my review of Tony Hawk Pro Skater.
PROS:
-UNLIKE A NUMBER OF EXTREME SPORTS TITLES, THIS ONE USES ACTUAL PEOPLE! As the title of the game may have implied, Tony Hawk is a playable character. In addition to Hawk, there are a number of other pro boarders selectable.
-THE GAME USES ACTUAL MUSIC BY ACTUAL BANDS! Most extreme sports titles feature lame, generic music that sounds like it would be better off elsewhere. In this game, that is NOT true. Bands like Goldfinger and Primus contributed music to this game, and their contributuions are one of the things that make this game so great. The other bands that contributed aren't as well known, but their songs are no less excellent.
-NO TWO CHARACTERS ARE EXACTLY ALIKE. Although every character plays in a similar fashion, each one has his or her own special moves. Likewise, what one character may lack in one area he may make up for in another, while with another character it may be vice versa.
-THERE ARE A NUMBER OF INTERESTING LOCATIONS. This game's settings are another great strength that it has. You'll go everywhere from an abandoned warehouse to an abandoned mall, and even a dam! There is no shortage of cool places to go in this games.

CONS:
-IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THIS VERSION OF THE GAME WOULD GET AN E RATING FROM THE ESRB, THE BLOOD AND MANY OF THE SONG LYRICS HAVE BEEN EDITED OUT. THAT is why I suggested in the subject bar that you get the Playstation version instead.
-CONTROLS TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO. If you've never played any game by Activision that uses this same game engine, expect to take some time adjusting to the controls. Once you get the hang of them, though, you'll end up liking them. And, of course, the N64 controller is godawful anyway, so it's even harder to adjust to the controls on this system.
-LATER ENTRIES IN THE SERIES WERE CONSIDERABLY BETTER. Although this was a good game, the later games were better, featuring more characters (and some even cooler secret ones), more secrets, and more music. Oh well, this game is still good.
-THE GAME GETS TOO HARD, TOO FAST. This game starts easy, but gets hard after a few short play sessions. Expect to blister your thumbs a lot, and often times accomplish nothing for it.

OVERALL:
Overall this is a very good game. Sure, it's overrated, but that's because it's a good game! If you want the best skateboarding games out there, the games in the Tony Hawk series are exactly what you're looking for.

This game is incredibly cool! I have played this game many times and it has shown me that it is probably my favorite game! I like this game because it has an unbeleivable amount of combos and tricks that you can put together. You can play with another friend or by yourself in career mode. It is a very cool game. Get this GAME!
