This is the greatest game that there has ever been for the 64. It has one of the best replay values of any game I have ever played. I got it last month, and I haven't been able to stop playng since. If you are even thinking about getting it then do it.

This game is so much better than the Playstation version. I have both the Playstation and the N64. I had Tony Hawk for the PSX and I thought it was the best game. Then when it came out on the N64 I thought it was going to be that same thing. The 64 version is so much better. Althought the PSX version is cheaper it is worth the extra money to buy the N64 version. I did!
Greatest PSX game

This game is so cool I thought I was Tony Hawk himself. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has really good graphics. It's cool when you grind too long and you fall then blood fly's out all over the place. My favorite level is the WAREHOUSE because you can got so many points going through secret room above the half pipe. Plus I like it in the WAREHOUSE when you get a combo of 4 grinds when you use the high bar for the grind.

Now, even though this review is being shown for the N64 version of the game, i think, I will talk about the best version - the Playstation version. The control is intuitive and easy to master, the trick combos are endless, and the replay value is infinite. The levels are huge and well designed, just about everything is accessible. I love goin to the roof and gym of the school, and I lvoe climbing the buildings in streets. I've had the game for about a year and it is still incredibly fun. Competing with friends is the best, you can use the three diferrent multiplayer modes, but I invented my own game. The only problem is that your fingers start hurting after extended sessions of play, but the problem is solved by the forming calloses. My fingers are pretty much indestructable now, Thanks THPS! My only problems with the N64 version is that the graphics arent as sharp. They are a little blurred, and like the dreamcast version, suffer in the way of controls. But you can get used to them and still enjoy yourself until the sequel. Do yourself a favor and buy this game, but if you have a dreamcast or playstation buy one of those versions. (The playstation version is the best)
What's up with the music??

As a mom who bought the game for my 7-year-old son for Christmas I have to say how disappointed I am with the rating on it as appropriate for ages six and up. The graphics and game itself look interesting and "wholesome" enough, but what is up with the psycho-music? And "psycho"-something illegible that rhymes with "itch" is the gist of the entire soundtrack that I have heard. It's really pathetic that the designers can't think of something else to skate to except this intense, pulsating, nerve-wracking (is it punk, heavy-metal, rap?) noise. Needless to say, I've "sent it back to the North Pole" to exchange it for something milder and more child-friendly!
