great game but...

tony hawks pro skater is the best sports game to hit the 64 since 1080 snowboarding. it has a great soundtrack with great graphics and addicting gameplay, not to mention...Officer Dick! if you have a nintendo 64 and you dont own this game then you should.

HOWEVER if you own both a 64 and a playstation then buy the playstation version. 1.better graphics 2.much harder 3.better songs(on the 64 version some songs are completely edited and contain only the music. the only problem is that the sony one is teen because of the songs)

When I first got this game I was not sure if I would like it that much. At first i couldnt land thricks i was not landing tricks, but then i started getting better and really got into it. the graphics are great, game play is great, but the camara work isnt that good (beacouse it keeps on going in front of the skater to where you cant see where you are going). thats why i gave this game a ***** rating.

When I got thps for chhristmas 2000 I thoght whoohoo I got tony the video game because then I was a big fan of tony hawk. When I first playerd it I thoght wow this game is so cool. But the only disadvantage was it got boring faster some other games I have played, but if your someone who likes skatbording like I do,Buy this game.

People are CRAZY doing all those dangerous moves.GOOD!

Now this is my frist review i am writing, and so many people may not think of this review as a helpful review. But i am writing this review to share my thoughts to the world about this game. ... The fun part of the game are those dangerous combos whitch Tony Hawk's and other 10 or 11 skaters do their. ... My favorite track is the one in Chicago. The skating arena. The reason i like it cause i always skate downtown in this skateboarding arena it looks just like that. That is my favorite place to skate. I can go faster then i can in the street cause their aren't many jumps in the streets. But enought about that, What i also like about the game are the Career mode. I also like the game in chicago, in whitch you have to do alot of good jumps before limit of time, then ni the end the junges decide what your score is like a 7.8 or a 8.5, those kinds of scores.This game is called "Heat". The game also haves 3 Heats in which you have to go through. Now the reason you want to do your best in this game is because it goes in your Career. And you're also skating for Gold Medals. What you want to try to do is get the best score to be in first place and get the best gold in whicth it will go on too your career. But if you want this track, u must go throught the first track. See, when you start the game you only have 1 track. The only way to unlock them is too score Tapes by doing all kinds of tricks. But at the end, the [price] that we paid was worth it. So if you see the game in the store and you dont got it, buy it. this game gets into the minds of non skating fans as well. So if you see it in the store, whitch in my case this game should be like [price] by now, buy it, and you'll have the whole F'N skating action in one vedio game!

Much like Halo, I never really had a divine interest in Tony Hawk games aside from maybe one or two from the franchise. This game is still lots of fun to play even since its release nearly a decade ago. Doing ludicrous and impossible stunts is still a lot of fun. There are still plenty of characters to play as, and there is still a ton of stuff to unlock that still makes this game worthwhile and it still has its endless replay value. I'm still unclear as to whether I want to buy a modern skateboarding game like Tony Hawk or perhaps rival skater Skate. Whatever I decide, this game is still a top notch title to play, even though there are control and camera issues during gameplay.

I acctully quite enjoyed this game when it first came out 9 years ago when I got it for Chritmas, I did beat it but I still perfer future Tony Hawk games more, It was fun to do all the skate tricks like grind jump off ramps, lip trick, etc. But you cant mannual.
