This game is the coolest thing I've played since I first got a Nintendo! Even my dad, who isn't into video games, liked it! it's a real classic game for the whole family to enjoy! It's perfectly acceptable for really young kids too! Don't miss the fun! Plus, using Amazon.com is a lot cheaper and it saves you a trip to the store! (even though this game is worth ten trips!)

Pretty Good game

Who ever knew you could play tennis in so many different ways? This game was a lot of fun. My favorite part was picking the character I was going to play with. There were a ton of options for everything. You could play doubles, singles? and you could pick what court you played on too. they even had a tilting court. There were about 12 characters to pick from. Some of them were old and some were new. I would recommend this game to anyone. it's very fun.

When you first look at the package for Mario Tennis you probably think that "oh I'm just gonna smack a ball around", well your wrong. This game as a whole is fun, addictive, and original. Eventhough one may not see that many tennis video games out on the market I would give this one a chance, you may be pleasently suprised.

I bought this game as a Christmas present for my brother, and I can't stop playing it. It is so fun and after you beat the singles tournament you go to the doubles. After you beat doubles you can do the ring tournament. Plus you can win many hidden characters and hidden courts such as BABY DK, SHY GUY, and a bunch of courts. Buy this game if you have N64. Because if you have N64 you gotta be a mario fan.

GO YOSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the most entertaining sports game

Mario and his pals have raced, golfed, and even fought one another in video games, and those games have all been great. Now Mario is approaching the net in Mario Tennis. By now you should know that a game featuring Mario is a must-buy, but for those of you who still want to make sure this is a great game, let me inform you about it.

For starters, Mario Tennis was created by the same people who developed the best console golf game to date, Mario Golf. That should tell you something right there. Mario Tennis, like Mario Golf, has some great modes of play in addition to the traditional singles tennis matches. There's doubles tennis matches where players can play two-on-two, and if there aren't enough players, the computer will take their place. In Ring Shot tennis, players try to hit the ball through rings which are suspended above the net. As the ball passes through the rings, a point total tallies up, and whoever wins the rally gets the points. The first player to reach the number of points established at the start of the game wins the match. Finally, there's the Bowser Stage, a wild game of tennis where players can use items to slip up their opponents. They can use items such as bananas, which are placed on the court to trip unwary players; green shells, that fire a three-way shot; stars, which make characters more powerful; and more.

There's also a great selection of characters to choose from, ranging from the stars such as Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi, to popular enemies such as Boo, Paratroopa, and Birdo. And there's none of those out-of-place Hot-Shots-Golf-like characters who were in Mario Golf.

Mario Tennis has great replay value too. With hidden courts and characters to find and four-player games of doubles, Ring Shot, and the Bowser Stage, you just won't want to stop.

But of course, it isn't perfect. Players will have to get accustomed to each character's movement. Some, such as Paratroopa and Yoshi, tend to slide more and, therefore, sometimes bypass the ball completely as they make a dash for it. But that's nothing a little practice can't remedy. Also, there's the problem of playing on the top half of the court. Playing on the bottom half is just fine, but when on the top, it can be hard to judge where the ball is. This, too, just takes a little getting used to.

Mario Tennis and Mario Golf are my favorite of their genre. Once you have played Mario Tennis, I think you'll agree it's the most fun you've had with a sports game.

Mario Tennis is awesome!

Mario Tennis is an addictivly fun game, even for gamers who don't like Tennis at all, or older gamers who don't really like Mario games. It only took me one game to get used to all the controls and really good, and in no time at all I was playing the hard level (it might not be that easy for you, i'm just an expert gamer). Don't start thinking that it's going to be TOO easy, though! The advanced levels are very challenging, and once you get good, you can move up levels and try and get secret characters and courts, as well as play with friends on multi-player. This is a REALLY fun game so go and buy it today!

Great Game

Mario Tennis is a great game for all ages. You are able to choose from a line of Mario characters such as mario, Bowser, Luigi, etc. it is very fun, though somwhat easy in the first to cups. you think the last one would be a sinch but you will find it is nearly impossible to win the final cup. this game has many features such as multiplayer, and has all the rules of regular tennis. A very enjoyable, but somewhat kiddy. though, i am a kid so I think it is a great game for an adult to give there kid

Great Advanced and Beginers game

When I first got this game, it seemed intimidating because it was a sports game. I am not good at sports games, but this game was fairly easy for me, but provided a needed challenge. Luckily, this game can be tweaked to fit any gamer's personality. The tournament mode and other special modes are really cool. Overall, it is a great game, so get it if you can.
