HI, My name is Sean and I work at [a] Best Buy ... . We recently got this game in stock in order that our customers could play it before it is released. I have played Mario Tennis numerous times and I absolutely love it. It is a great game and a lot of fun. There are many characters to choose from and different types of levels. All in all, this has to be one of the best games we have gotten in this year!

At first, I was really skeptical about this game after playing Virtua Tennis for Dreamcast. That game was great. The graphics and simple gameplay were really fun. However, I must say that Mario Tennis blew me away. Not only are the 2 button controls easy for all skill levels to master, the gameplay is very simple. It is one of the easiest games for beginners to get into and start having fun. The game is probably best for 4 players. It makes a great party game. The replay value is really good. Some games, once you've beat it, it isn't fun to play again. However, there are so many different modes and different level computers that even the best player can still play and lose. Try the Intense setting of computer players, and they will absolutely dominate. I would recommend this game to anyone, even non-tennis fans, because it is very fun and easy to get into. The graphics are gorgeous, and everything you can hope for out of the Nintendo 64. Gameplay is well paced, and the framerate is very fluid. No choppy action like in other games...cough...Perfect Dark...cough...So with that said, I would say buy this game. If you have other siblings who play with you, this game is an awesome multiplayer game.

Camelot and Nintendo really outdid themselves this time with their new release, Mario Tennis. They have served up the goods on every aspect of the game, including vibrant, colorful animation, an inspiring setup that I hope becomes the standard for all sports games on Nintendo, Dreamcast, asnd Playstation alike, controls that make the Sega smash hit Virtua Tennis look like Pong, a wide selection of characters (16 to be exact), big and small, winged or not winged, young and old, and an incredibly fluent multiplayer mode which is so addictive you might want to have your friends stay over for a couple of days, order some pizza and sit it next to the couch (so you don't have to fast; believe me, you won't want to get up for food) and play till you doze off, which won't happen, the game is so enticing. Camelot, on the other hand, did one heck of a job. They surpassed Mario Golf on every angle, also. There are better graphics, better setup, better everything. There is also a bunch more modes in Mario Tennis than Mario Golf, and Camelot/Nintendo, brought back some old favorites, including the ring shot mode, which is back and better than ever. Overall, I had a smashing time playing this game and it's a definite buy, Mario fans or not. Please, don't make a mistake and "rent" this game. It doesn't deserve it, but you do. So take this advantage and put this game a permanent member of your 64 collection. This game is a gem, and there's nothing like. There never will be, either.

Boring after a week.

After the greatly successful N64 game Mario Golf, Camalot Software decided to cook up a new sports title for the year. I had extremely high hopes for Mario Tennis, but in the end it was very disapointing. It's too bad really, because it had all the potential to be an amazing game, but fell flat on its face. It took me a little over five hours to complete in its entirety, so that will give you a clue to just how bad this game is.

A great upgrade and it doesn't need a "64"!

Well, I'll take if you want this game you are probably "upgrading" from the good old Tennis on NES or Gameboy, or you are a newbie at this one. Either way, this game, is one of the funnest games I have ever played! You got tons of characters, (2 hidden), couple different courts to play on, couple of difficulty levels, and a huge variety of different tennis games to play! This one defnitely does NOT need a "64" to make it great. Buy it, NOW!
