This game is great. Every once in a while it's nice to have a game that I don't have to sit down for hours to get anywhere. With this one I sit down and play it for hours because I can't help myself. I have a lot of games for my 64, but this one gets played by far the most. The multiplayer mode is great, as well as the single player modes. I highly recommend this game.

Excellent Game

This is a fun and exciting game for every age! It's not only tennis, but it has other features. My fave is the ring shoot, and the Bowser stage is pretty intense, if a little perplexing. There are numerous characters to choose from, also. Go Paratroopa!!!! Nintendo has churned out some really good games, like Bond, Smash, Perfect Dark, and Ocarina of Time. This is the first really fun MULTIPLAYER game that has come out in a while (Majora's Mask is one-player). Buy this game, or if you're skeptical, at least rent it!

What's that? It;s a Mario Tennis Ball.

Mario may not know how to hit a ball, but he knows how to make a smash hit. Mario Tennis is probably the best one to four player game there is in new release. The graphics are good. For instance when you serve the ball, it gives you the reading for how fast the ball is going. There are lots of characters in this game, including new characters like Shy guy, Baby Mario, Waluigi. This game is a very good game, as it says above. (5 Star Rating). You can do three types of serves, you press button A twice, or A then B, & finally A&B at the same time!! I hope that you like my report.

The Best Multiplayer game for Kids, Adults, Boys, Girls etc

I think mario tennis is the best multiplayer gamer for Nintendo 64 for everyone. Sure Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, or some F-Zero are great with the guys who are seasoned gamers but for the casual gamers like my wife has no intrest in violence or racing. We enjoy playing Mario Party but it is not a game for the guys and Its to long to be a pick quick up and play. Also are non gameing friends hate the fact that I win every time.

So getting to the point Mario Tennis bridges the gap between all gamers it quick and easy to play even for people not into games, Its non-violent yet very competive.

Plus four people can play and unlike most 4 player games you still have the same size screen not little boxes with slimed down graphics.

To Some it up GREAT GRAPHICS, GREAT GAMEPLAY, GREAT MULTIPLAYER, MARIO AND FRIENDS. THIS GAME HAS IT ALL THE REASONS YOU BOUGHT YOUR NINTENDO 64 FOR. IT IS A MUST HAVE FOR CHILDREN ADULTS BOYS OR GIRLS. JUST AWESOME.

p.s. i recomend walugi

Addictive

This game is addictive. My friend had a party so I brought my N64 and rented Mario Tennis. We found ourselves stuck playing it the whole night. We were playing the game like it was second nature while we talked! This game will have you going without thinking! Incredibly addictive! The 1 player game is fun, but playing with your friends is the most fun. You don't have to buy it, but it wouldn't be a bad choice. Whether you buy this game or not...it is definitly worth a rent and a excellent choice for a party game.

A SMASH Hit

Mario Tennis is a great game with outstanding controll. I like how Nintendo threw in Daisy, Birdo, DKjr, Shy Guy, and Paratroopa. They have made this game more interesting than the standard DK, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Peach, Bowser, Toad, and Boo. I want to emphasize on a great new caracter called Waluigi. Easy to move and hit the ball. Ring Shot and Bowser Court were great Ideas. The hidden courts are also great. Very fun game for mulitiplayer. A definite buy!

Play it till you drop

This is such a simple game.

In fact, there's nothing all-inspiring, awesome about it- it doesn't even add anything new to the genre.

But this is an incredibly addictive sports game with lots of cute-till-you-get-blue-in-the-face characters (can anyone say Yoshi or Boo?)

And yes, you will play it when you first turn it on, you'll play it with your friends/brother/sister, you'll play it when you're bored, you'll play it when you are sick of it, you'll play it, heck just to play it.

It's that kind of game that doesn't put you into chore-like situations (e.g. RPGs) when you have to go about doing this and that and guides and stuff...no, this is the kind of game that you're gonna play just to pass the time or to open up the secrets of the game.

Whatever it is, Nintendo sure has skill in publishing this gem and Camelot(the developer)has just created the crown jewel of the sports series on the Nintendo 64.

No other sports title ever comes this close to the solid aracde-like gameplay of Mario Tennis 64.

Of course, graphics and sound are secondary but you're not gonna buy a tennis game to gawk at the texture of the tennis court are you? Maybe you do- but you're missing the point already.

Another addictive game without the assistance of that over-rated and dangerously supernatural Pokemon franchise. If only Nintendo would stick to 'safer'games...

A fun game, especially in multiplayer mode

Like almost every Mario game, this game is excellent. It's clean and polished, and, most importantly, incredibly enjoyable to play.

If you're not into "realistic" tennis games - by that, I mean games which look realistic - this game has to be one of the best tennis games for any console out there. The controls are clean and still simple, there is a wide variety of characters, all with different characteristics, to choose from, and the variety of gameplay modes all add to the fun.

Playing against the computer can be amusing for a while, but where this game really shines is multiplayer mode. If you have someone of comparable skill to play with, this game is loads of fun. There's nothing quite like winning a tiebreaker to win a hard-earned match, and then being able to trash talk to the person right next to you!

The physics is also good. There are different courts with varying ball speed and bounce, so, like in real life, court composition makes a very significant difference in style of play.

All these features make a game which is fun to play and can still last for dozens of hours. Get this game!

Great fun for one or four people!

Acutually this game is very realistic! It has a way of making you feel like you can actually play like the players do! There are somethings that are added features like bowser's stage, and other stuff too! I can't really explain it but, the controls are easy to follow, easy to learn, and easy to fall madly in love with. The graphics are well done and the special effects are good too!
