Hi Zelda fans and i'm going tell about this great game. You start out in the begining by geting hit by a boy with a skull mask on, when he steals you're horse and ocarina. When you wake up you're a deku scrub and you have no ocarina. Through the game you have to get new masked's like the goron mask which you transform into a goron and you can roll around and when you get a lot of speed, metal spikes come out of you're body which takes away magic but is a very cool attack because you can destroy this with this rolling attack also. The first boss you battle is named Odolwa and he is a masked jungle warrior that has a big sheld and a big sword and the key is to shoot him with arrows with the bow that you got in this temple and soon enough he will die, then get the heart container and the remains and go into the blue circle. My favorite mask of the 20 (not including the deku, goron, and zora) is the Fiece Deity's Mask because he has a sword that is twisted! It is the best sword beside the great fairy sword that you get at stone tower temple. As i was saying about the Fiece Deity's Mask, it's sword is twisted and can hit a long range fighter like when you fight the mighty Majora's Mask at the end of the game. i hope that you get this game and play it because it is one of the best games ever made, and also make sure you get a guide or you will never beat this game, because it is the hardest game in the world in my opinion but you don't have to think this, thank you and make sure you play this game!
This is a super game!

This game is totally cool. It is interesting from the first scene. It has all the cool stuff from other Zelda games, plus new and fun parts. There is a limit that you can only have three days to save the area, and you can help people. This game is definately a great game whether you are a Zelda fan already or not.
The very best game ever!!!

This is the very best game! It could've been better but it's good enough. I'm only up to snowhead temple but I'm going to get farther. If you like action, you have to buy this game.

This game was awsome! I'll never get tired of it. When my sister, who is also as adicted to Zelda as I am, started a new game, it took us a long time to figure out where the Ocarina was. And that's what I like about it! I like it chalenging, I like it full of action, and I like it to have alot of mysteries! Majora's mask has all of that! I think Zelda is the best game in the Universe!!!
WOW!

All I have to say is - WOW! Majora's Mask is definately a great addition to any N64 gamer's collection. The constant challenges and puzzles always keep you on the end of your seat. In my opinion, the time limit is an extremely exciting feature, which makes Majora's Mask VERY nerve-racking. I think the best part of playing this game is the feeling that you get when you FINALLY get past that one part you have been working on for days (happens frequently in the game). Majora's Mask offers some of the best graphics around, which makes that Expansion Pak (you know, that darn little cartridge that never seems to be in stock) a crucial purchase. Now hurry up and go play it! You only have 72 hours to save the town from the falling moon! Go! Now! I don't see you moving! You don't know what you're missing :)

As you have probably seen going through the reviews prior to this, there are very differing opinions on this game, and so I am going to attempt to balance both of them out in this review.
First, I will go through a brief explanation of the storyline. You are Link (or however you want your character to be named), and after going away from Hyrule in search of "an invaluable friend", you run across a Skull Kid who does the polite injustice of stealing your ocarina and horse. Then, after that, he turns you into a Deku Scrub and you find yourself in Termina, the new land of Majora's Mask. The Happy Mask salesman tells you that the skull kid you ran into stole a mask from him that contains an immense amount of power, and that you only have 72 hours to get back the mask, or else the moon will crash into Termina, causing its terminal demise. (Sorry, bad pun.)
Quite a few people have complained about the fact that there is now a time limit, but to me, that just adds to the game. It makes it much more challenging than Ocarina of Time because you actually feel like you have to get something done or else something horrible will happen. Now, the fact that you lose everything you are carrying (not the weapons themselves, but all of the ammunition for them) is a big let-down, but it does add realism. You came into that game with nothing, and it's suiting that when you go back in time, you start out with that nothing again (except for the weapons and important items).
I have also seen some complaints about the fact that there are only four dungeons throughout the entire game (not including the final one on the Moon itself). Now, the game is hard enough with four, pretty complicated dungeons (not to mention if you don't figure them out in the 72 hour time period, you have to start them over completely), but if they had added even more, I'm afraid I would have to hurt someone. All of the dungeons in the game are pretty challenging and have puzzles that actually require some thought past the thought level of the Halo series. (Sorry Halo fans, but the puzzles aren't hard at all...)
Overall, Majora's Mask is a very good game, no matter what the anyone decides to say. If it wasn't in the Zelda series, the people that don't like it now, would probably like it. That's the way that the cookie crumbles.
Decent, but becomes redundant...

Usually these "Legend of Zelda" titles have something to do with Zelda in the storyline. You only see her once during a flashback, and that's it for her. It's just like the Gameboy games, where the focus is completely on Link, with Zelda not even being mentioned.
On the other hand, this game is quite good. There are many, MANY sidequests that Link has to complete in order to get pieces of heart, and other masks (Collecting as many masks as you can play an important aspect near the end of the game!).
Even though there are only four dungeons in the game, you'll have to complete them all over again start-to-finish at least twice. But once you've done it through the first time, you become familiar enough with it and complete through the second time without much hassle.
"Short game" you say? Absolutely not! Even with the four temples, along with sidequests that HAVE to be completed, you're looking at a game with 20-30 hours worth. Yeah, the storyline isn't really as vast as the Ocarina of Time, and contains some music directly from that game, but really, the game did its purpose, it was fun.
However, after completing one playthrough with this game, I'm not sure if I'm willing to give it another playthrough.

The Cartridge did not appear to be in as good a shape as advertised. At first we had trouble getting it to work, but after several attempts, we did get it to work. It has worked okay since the initial problem.

Please ignore the slanders leveled against this excellent game. I've played every Zelda in recent memory and this iteration ranks in the top. Yes, there is a limit of time, but it makes everything feel so much more real and urgent. The game gives you a typical Zelda world to explore. After the relatively short opening sequence you get get the ability to rewind time. This gives you all the time you need to see Termina. No, It isn't Hyrule, but that's one of the best things about it. I was glad to see a game with no Princess Zelda and no Gannon. The people who dislike this game seem to have the same attitude (and grammar skills) as a twelve year-old who can't hand in their homework on time. This game might have more dimensions than the last one (pun), but it only improves the solid Zelda Experience.
