This is not the type of game for me. I get frustrated because i cant get any kills. I'm incredibly impatient. I sit down to play this game and every time I drive vehicle i get blown up by some helicopter or jet. The maps are big and I have to walk a long way to my objective only to get shot down. I'd probably like it if i play it a little longer. I'd recommend anyone who feels the same way to play Day of Defeat Source. Smaller maps(a lot more action) and infantry only. Flags are captured faster and faster respawn times.
Worth the money.

I been playing this game since it was a demo. Now a days I play the expansion pack more but recently I been coming back and playing the original. Just to warn you if you buy this game make sure you have a powerful computer and fast internet connection or you won't really get all you can out of this game. The single player sucks, I never bought this game for that only the online part. Online is great go into a room with 64 people and its like a real war. The problems with this game are minor. Some bugs in the game not many though. Some of the people can really get on your case also. Many people that play this game don't speak English or refuse to and that gets annoying. A great game overall and worth your time if you love FPS games and playing them with people all over the world.

This game has all the requirements to be one of the best war time games of all time, but the developers dropped the ball BIG TIME. How do you make a game about war without blood? THAT'S LAME! That's like ordering a burger and getting 2 slices of bread with some lettuce! The lack of realism is what really suffers because of this crucial missing detail, as well as the fact that the dead bodies disapear within seconds right in front of you. This may sound brutal, but if I play a war game where I'm on a battlefield fighting hand-to-hand combat with my enemy, I want (and need for the sake of realism) the option to mame and kill. I want to see a battlefield with dead bodies scattered everywhere and graphic detail with point-blank shots. BF2 was fun for about 2 days, and does have some great looking graphics (aside from the violent detail), but I lost interest quickly because the environment felt so fake. This game is not worthy of the PC, and would be better suited as an addition to the long list of nintendo kiddy games.
I had no problems playing this game a max settings. Of course, look at my specs:
RAM = 2GB
PROCESSOR = 3.0GHZ P4
GRAPHICS CARD = XFX GeForce 7800 PCI-E 256MB 16 PIPELINES
Looks good, but hated it.

Firstly, I don't want my rating to discourage purchase of this game, nor to imply it's poorly designed, or not entertaining.
It's probably quite the opposite, for many people. However, when I embarked on this adventure I expected a slightly different flavor than I received. Historically, battlefield games aren't my thing, but I decided to give BF2 a whirl in the hopes of being surprised...
I can't say I was let down, I was surprised. Surprised I uninstalled it after about an hour. =p
The graphics are superb, teamplay looks great and I can bet online play is a while other animal of fun.
I suppose in the end I was looking more for an FEAR/Doom3/GTA kind of FPS shooting game, and instead found myself bogged down by team strategy and a very loose understanding of what it was I was doing (which I admit I made no attempt to understand).
Over all: If you like battlefield games, you're probably in for a great ride. However, if you're more into FPS, like me, you'll want to avoid or look deeper into the game before putting you're money where their mouth is. =)
This is one of the best games ever released

All I have to say is that this game is amazing. Internet is fun but mostly having a LAN. One thing I have to say is there alot of glitches in the game, such as riding in a car and you see the ground moving, but overall a kick a** game!!!!

Ive been playing this game for almost a week. Since its new im sure it has flaws, not everything is perfect when it comes out. Oh and i wish i had a better graphics card (i have a 128mb nVidia) but i cant have video on high, right now everything is set to low execpt Textures, i keep that at high.
One thing that bugged me today when i was playing, is that the server changed me teams, and when it did, my team mates names were still in red (red names is the enemy)and i was booted for team kills.
Other than that this is game is all good. I usualy go as Anti-Tank, i like to blow up stuff :D. Yes it takes about 3 or 4 times to destroy a tank, but whats fun if its gone at the first shot. If you cant destroy a tank, dont be anti-tank :D
The Aircrafts are kinda hard to fly, well for me they are, i see some just take off and fly perfectly, i guess everyone has thier skills.
So theres many things you can do here, if your not good at one thing, try something else. For me Anti-Tank is it, and a little bit of Special Forces.
Other than the little new flaws, this game rules! Well id type more stuff like all these people, but i rather go and play, and let you discover how fun this game is. If you like military games, this is for you. I like it better than First To Fight.
Thats my s/n up there btw.

Graphics, details, vehicles, etc. are great.
You start off with basic weapons on all classes.. you can unlock a weapon for each class starting at Lance Corporal. You start at Private, 0 points. Private First Class is 500 points, LCpl is 1000 points, Corporal 10,000 and it goes up insanely from there. You can expect on average 10-50 points per round although it's possible to make 100-200 if you're the scoreboard leader. Each round is about 15-20min. You do the math on gaining ranks. ;)
You can only gain ranks on "Ranked" Servers which are hard enough to get into due to the lack of them (Host has to pay $5.50 per slot, so a 32 player server would cost the host $176/mo).
If you're expecting to have everything available to you right out of the box, be forewarned that's not the way they designed this game.

The others reviewrs almosts pointed everything, fantastic graphics, gameplay and nice maps. But I need to point one very nasting "BUG", you need to unload a full machine gun on the enemy to get him killed before he kills you with ONE and ONLY ONE BULLET ????? I was able to test this severall times on-line with multiplayer and it's really there, not a bad finger on my hand. If this game was builded to be the reference, nothing is loosed if we get REAL BULLETS on it.
Don't believe the other reviews

I purchased this game and excitedly installed it which took nearly 10-20 minutes because of all the addons and next buttons you have push. Then load it up and create my ID, refresh the server list, find a server I wanted to try out and bam "Invalid CD-Key".... Why did it let me install it then. 6 reinstalls and many communications with EA games later and nothing has changed except how mad I have become. Also a quick search for Invalid CD-key" in google reveals that I am not alone. Beware if you buy this game you might just be stuck with it.
