A little glitchy in some areas, but overall a nicely laid out game. Whats also nice is you don't have to be a great shot like in CSS. I love flying the jet and driving the tanks, although the team has to be on the same page to win.
BEST PC SHOOTER EVER!!!!!!!!

Well there are two reasons why this is the best game ever. One, in most PC shooters you can't parachute, order artillary strikes, or switch your gun from automatic firing mode to single-shot firing mode. The second reason is the seven kits you can play as are all VERY exiting. Those were just two of the many reasons why this game is great.
P.S. Sniper is the best kit!
A game that could have been great

First off I was awaiting the arival of this game greatly and got it the day it came out. Upon loading up the game I found out that the system I had at the time could only run the game poorly... So I upgraded to a new system that is a lot better. Even after forink out a fair amount of money to upgrade my pc I got to find out that my main issue (load times) remained...
But as to the gameplay I would consider this game more arcade than anything else. The use of infantry weapons can be a bit off at times.. The pistols in the game are among the most accurate weapons in the game with their iron sights you can take out your enemy at a long range better than most of the other weapons in the game. Overall the game has to be thought of as rock paper scissors, some weapons work better than other and some just flat out work better for no reason. The use of C4 against infantry is pretty much shooting fish in a barrel, you can wipe out a large group of enemies and continue off on your way with little problems. Also with this C4 armor is not really an issue if you can manage to creep up on it using cover.
The main issue i have with the game that could have been easily change was the initial release of the game and the patches that have followed. Some pretty large problems remained in the game for a long while after the release and the developers knew of these problems and said they were working on the issues and it took a very long time to get them addressed.
All en all I would say that if you like a multiplayer game where you can jump in and get a decent amount of action whenever you feel like it this game is great. If you are looking for a game that is well thought out is well balanced I would point you elsewhere.
Best online cooperative game around.

If you are looking for a game that makes teamwork essential, has high quality graphics in a FPS this is the game for you. I am a Counter-Strike fan for about 5 years now, but this game has ended my addiction and given me a new one. This game is a big improvement from the previous Battlefield installments. I highly recommend it. Just make sure you have the hardware to handle it.

This game is a really good single-player war game, but it is way too easy in single-player mode. The main problem for this game is that in single-player mode the game offers you a very limited amount of maps, so being able to experience the full excitement of the game means having a fast internet connection, because without the online multi-player mode this game is pointless. The multi-player mode offers a vast amount of maps and more players per map. Another problem is that you have to install a 370 MB patch before you play in multi-player mode. But in the end it is totally worth it and the results will be great. The game is challenging and that is what I like about it, at first you expect you'll be able to fly a helicopter with no effort but you'll then find out that it is one of the hardest things to do in the game, also when you become a master in single-player mode you think I'm gonna slay them all in multi-player mode no one can stand a chance against me but then you start playing and find out you're still a newbie. Another thing I liked about the game is the system which allows you to advance in the game, you receive medals, your military rank increases and best of all you unlock better WEAPONS.
Pros:
1. Stunning graphics
2. Helicopters dominate the game
3. The system enables you to advance through the game
4. Many kits each with its own unique advantages
5. Many vehicles to ride
6. Much more...
Cons:
1. Large patches.
2. The multi-player game is hosted by servers all around the
globe so if you live somewhere far from a server you'll be having problems playing online.
As I have said before the game is POINTLESS without the multi-player mode so don't buy unless you have a good internet connection.

Best Network game I have ever played

This game is the best I have played, and I have been a gamer since I first started in computing in 1972. Besides being a good playing game, what makes this stand out in its field is the effort to make team playing on the network go smoothly. While as a serious gamer I can stomp pretty much any game, people are another matter. No program can think, and people are a constant suprise and pleasure.
But if you buy this game make sure you have some serious hardware to support it. A Gforce 4mx video card will not cut it, you need some serious frame chomping power to play. I am running a 3 gig pentium with 1 gig memory and a Nvidia 6600GT video card and the game is butter smooth.
Most fun I have had in a long time.
Best multiplayer war game ever,

The realism, the squad system, the necesity of teamwork to win, its an excelent game, gut a few bugs, a few glitches that can be anoying from time to time... but if the machine is capable enough (high system requirements...) you should have smooth and VERY FUN gameplay, and the rank system (not a new feature, but good enough), all kind of war vehicles. I cant recommend it more...
What most people say about system requirement is not true.

I'm not going to repeat what other people say about the game feature and squad play and commander mode. I think a lot of these reviews about the system requirements are very misleading.
You don't really need a high-end system to play this game, if you build your own, like i do, you can play this game smoothly for about 700-800 bucks. I built a PC over the summer for BF2 and the upcoming Elderscroll Oblivion, and it costs me 600 bucks at that time. Recently I upgraded my video card to a 6800GS and added another 1GB of ram, so it's more like an 800 bucks system. Before the upgrades, i could play the game with all settings at low but great frame rates, which is what matters the most because it's the gameplay that makes this game fun, not the graphics. After I upgraded to a 6800GS i could set everything to medium and play on 64 players server flawlessly, now with the added 1GB of ram, i can set everything to high except dynamic shadow and dynamic lighting to low just for the extra fps. Here are the system specs and pricing:
AMD Athlon64 3000+ venice socket 939 ($149)
XFX Geforce 6800GS OC ($219)
160GB Hitachi Hard drive ($40 after rebate)
2GB Corsair Memory Value Select ($160)
Coolermaster Centurion case ($55)
Thermaltake TR2 430W Power Supply ($39)
Epox EP-9NPAJ socket 939 mobo ($85)
Lite-on DVD rom ($25)
total: $772
This is a budget gaming system, and I'm not here to show off. I just don't want people to turn away because of the specs and miss the opportunity to enjoy this great game. There are some flaws with the game, mainly due to EA, such as they don't let you add custom maps, or don't let server admins to kick at will, but overall is a great game if you play in a squad and even better if you have a few friends to play with. When i first bought the game i played it a couple times and put it away, but a couple months later i gave it a try again and now i'm addicted to it. I play on my clan server a lot with my clanmates and my two brothers, and even with the limited number of maps, each round is always different and exciting.
