I am totally addicted to this game! I cannot imagine ever becoming bored with it since there is so much to learn in so many areas. You earn rank, badges, ribbons, medals. Badges are in levels of basic, veteran and expert in the multiplayer mode.EA adds in new maps and weapons often; the latest will be set in America. Whether you like to play infantry, fly jets or choppers, fight in tanks, there is something for everyone. You can choose your kit of medic, spec ops, support, assault, anti tank, sniper and learn to be an expert in all of them.
If you are over 25 and want a supportive mature group to play with head over to www.theoldergamers.com.
I know alot of people play many different games, but for me at this time, BF2 is the steak of games and I am content.

Good game to play. I played a lot of UT2004 and I like BF2 just as much if not better. My problem with UT was that when you are being attacked you have to jump like crazy bunny spamming rockets left and right. In BF2, you look for cover and duck - quite more realistic gameplay.
Regarding system requirements - I have AthlonXP 2800+, 1GB of 2700DDR 2.5CAS RAM and Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB, slightly overclocked. Game plays fine on 1024x768 @ 60Hz when everything is on medium plus 2x AA and 90% view distance. And that's considering I have a bunch of stuff running on the backgound (Norton Internet Security, etc.) In fact, it performs better than UT2004 with more than 32 total number of players. Visual quality is pretty good. Sure GeForce 6800 GT would be good, but if you can't afford it, get more memory instead. I think 1GB is a must here.

When I bought Battlefield Vietnam, I was instantly hooked. I was looking foward to getting Battlefield 2 ASAP. The new additions are perfect, such as better communication, HUD and sound effects. The single player campain is too short, with not as many missions as BF Vietnam, but are action packed. You can also unlock weapons if your real good in multiplayer, which is also a great improvement. The vehicles can be a blast, such as the DVP on the American side. I call it the dun-buggy-with-guns. Its armed with a .50 calibar the American support weapon. It's the fastest land vehicle in the game. So, with that said, if you're a Battlefield fan, Battlefield 2 is a most definate buy. Enjoy!!

My 11 year old son bought this game and he loves it. He says it's a great game and spends hours playing it. Well worth the money. He also has the first game and says the second if better than the first. He says the graphics and weapons are better. He's very satisfied with it.

As long as your computer has the horsepower to handle the requirements of the game, it is a very enjoyable experience. While there is a singleplayer mode, the true value of the game is in the multiplayer mode.

It is here that you can spend hours going from server to server playinng various BF2 maps. The most enjoyment of the game comes from playing other human opponets that are far more challenging than playing computer controlled players in the singleplayer mode.

I would highly recommend this game and I look forward to the release of BF2142 this Fall.

The graphics and playing field are awesome, and much better than previous Battlefield games. The different roles one can play also is a great feature of this game.

Play as the United States Marines, the Middle Eastern Coalition or the Chineese. This easily beats cs:s(Counter-Strike:Source) IMO(in my opinion)

Battlefield 2 is a complicated game for a novice, like me. I'm getting more familiar with it each time I play it.

its a realy good game but it doesnt come with the update that you have to use if you want to play online. all i can do is play against bots who are soo easy to kill, because i cant even find the update on the internet.
