Computer Scrabble is not only entertaining but is also educational. It is suitable for people of all ages. It's extremely versatile so you can play at any level you please. It can be played with other players, live or computer, so is great for shut-ins. Beast of all it is very affordable. We play conventional Scrabble but often both are not free at the same time. Score-keeping is automatic which is a definite plus.But you must have spare time because it is extremely addictive.

I love this game. It works perfectly with my computer, never had any problems.
There is a section that gives you a dictionary (so you can type in and see if the word you are thinking is acceptable), and also a 'suggestions' button that gives you all the words that you can play using your tiles in relation to those placed on the board! I find this a very helpful learning tool.
You can also customize the level of difficulty of the computer player.

Overall it is a great game for anyone who loves scrabble, i am completely addicted!

Love this game. This is a great way to brush up on your scrabble skills. Oh, and did I mention you can play with your friends on the internet???

The dreaded black screen / lockup occurred for me until I shut down my ZoneAlarm firewall. (I am a PC technician). The issue is NOT the game's fault - shut down all of your security software before attempting to play, and you should be fine. This game is totally worth it!

This is an awesome game and I highly recommend it! My husband and I both have Windows XP on our laptops and have been using this game for over a year with NO system issues at all. We play against each other over our network sitting on the couch - much easier than the board game, though we do still take that out on occasion. Yes, it's a little annoying to have to load the CD each time you play, but in comparison, it's still way easier than getting the board and tiles out each time, and then also knocking the tiles on the floor way too often. If I had paid a lot more for this Scrabble CD then yes I would be upset to have to load the CD each time, but not for $10!... It's well worth it!! Also, though the game does load in full screen view you CAN still get to your other windows/programs during a game and without closing the game out.. just hold the ALT and TAB keys simultaneously and you will be able to select and go to your other programs that are open.

This Scrabble game is not very appealing to adults, because they think you "cheat" when you press the word suggestions button or hint button. I thing suggestions improve your vocabulary and tell you what words you can make exactly with the tiles you have and the points. The Dictionary is that you type in a word that you want them to define, and they'll define it. Hint is an easier version of suggestions. The rules are the same as the normal Scrabble. And please believe me, even though I'm a kid that this game works on Windows XP.

Works great, plays great.

I've read many reviews that state this product wouldn't work on their computers. It makes me wonder if they are laptop users...I don't know. I purchased two copies of this game and installed them on my and my wife's desktop pc's (built with Windows XP sp2). We've played numerous local network games against each other and have experienced absolutely no problems. I've played single player vs the computer and a couple of the mini games...also without issue. Challenging play with decent options...this will make us both better Scrabble players. I see two things that could be improved: 1. Be able to play without the cd (I've circumvented this by downloading a "cracked" exe from www.gamecopyworld.com and it works great, I've used that site many times for other games I've purchased) 2. You cannot play in windowed mode, it has to be full screen. But you can simply hit your "windows" key or alt-tab to work with other apps while waiting for your opponent to make their move...;).

I say buy it, but be aware that I have not tried it on a laptop.

Excellent.

Only down-side, it runs a little slow unless you have quite a fast computer.
