"The Wii Remote with the game included!"

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 0 / 0

Most folks will purchase Wii Play just for the fact that it includes a Wii Remote, which nowadays isn't always easy to find. But the game is pretty fun, as it attempts to teach newcomers how to use the Wii Remote. It's sort of a tutorial wth a controller.

You will have nine different games to play, none too complex, that attempt to show what the Wii Remote does. The control ranges from simple point-and-click action to actual motion of the Wii Remote and increased use of buttons. Each can be played with one person or two, and the rules change appropriately.

It really is aimed for very casual gamers, because the games don't have much depth. Single players can attempt to improve their performance in each game to win "medals," and it's a nice distraction for two players as well. But more hardcore gamers may not see much to come back to after a while playing.

Still, it's a decent game, and it's a good buy when included with the Wii Remote. Considering the remote alone is approximately $40, a $10 pretty solid game is a nice addition.

Great for the kids

My kids love this. Worth every penny as long as you could use the extra controller. My 4 year old loves wii play. This game has helped him in moving around with the controller and has also helped with his reading some as he can read the directions while playing the mii find game. The tank game and also the skeet shooting has helped with his eye/hand coordination and also with his reflexes.

Laughs, fun, exercise & sore muscles

A great game which has not only kept the children occupied, but is also a favorite among adults who visit. Good fun with many laughs. A great way to spend quality time with a child doing something you both enjoy. The exercise is great; and we often hear from guests the following day concerning soreness. I think this offering was a great value with the included controller. Wii Play with Wii Remote

10 dollar game completely worth it

Considering Wiimotes are $40 and this package is only $50, you may as well spend the extra 10 bucks and get this fun game. Wii Play is by no means the pinacle of gaming, but for $10 it's impossible to pass up. If you need an extra Wiimote you should definitely get this game.

Okay not as good as 1rst Set of Wii games

The Wii Remotes and the Wii game are lots of fun and easy to use. The game package with this remote is okay, not to bad but not as good as the sports pack that comes with the Wii System. The remote gets 5 stars but the games get a 3

worth the money

If you are getting just the game... maybe not so much. However, if you're paying ten bucks more than you would for just the remote to get the game with it, it's cute. It's got about 8 or 10 mini games. Some of them are lame but some are fun. There's pool, fishing, duck hunt, cow racing, ping pong and stuff like matching games. If you need a remote anyway, I would recommend getting Wii Play with the remote for a tad more.

It's like buying a remote with a fun bonus

If you buy this game just for the game itself... you will be disappointed. If you buy this with the knowledge that you are buying another remote with a bonus game, you will be much happier.

We have had this game for several weeks and all the adults and kids still play it often. The shooting game (like the duck hunt from the old Nintendo's) is the family favorite with cow racing and the tank game not far behind.

A very nice product.

I bought this game when I realized how hard it was to find a simple Wii remote. The remote part is awesome and other than that I have the games to adequate enough to kill a few hours of boredum. The one weak link though is the billiards gane, which I found extremely difficult to play.

Very good game - especially with included remote

When I first looked at this game I was a bit iffy because of some of the more negative reviews, I must say that after buying it however this may have been the best game that I picked out in a recent shopping spree and I must say that for including another controller (making the game itself about $15) this was THE best deal that I got. Basically there are five or six games out of the nine that make this game VERY special and kept me and my friends up all night playing these. As for the not-so-fun games, you don't HAVE to play them so you shouldn't really have a problem there. Either way, this game is greatly worth the money because I would easily buy target shooting for $5, tanks for $15, fishing for $3, billiards for $5, etc. so if you really think about how much you would pay for each game alone this whole pack turns out to be an excellent deal.

Each game uses the remote in a different, creative way, no repitition (fishing has 3d movement, ping pong is simply moving the controller back and forth, etc.) and all movements of the wiimote come naturally, you could probably understand how to play without instructions for maybe some younger kids who can't understand complicated instructions.

I suppose that there are always some cons...:

1) A couple of the games (find mii, pose mii) will never be played more than once or twice.
2) There is only a maximum of two players instead of four
3) I would have liked to see more sports like basketball and soccer though you can't really complain about what ISNT there because there is so much that IS there to be positive about.
4) Graphics? (Though we are all told that graphics are over come by playing intuitivity, which IS true, there could be at least a little bit more work done here)

Either way the pros to this game are MUCH stronger than the cons, plus, you get an extra wiimote to go with it, I mean $50 for the wiimote ALONE wouldn't be too terrible of a deal so with such a great game....

Just buy it, you'll be glad you did.

With the success of the Nintendo Wii this past year, many people have looked at the gameplay from all the different games like The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Excite Truck. But, with the success of the new system, many people have had a very difficult time finding the games for it, and the accessories too. The Wii Remote ha worked so well at changing the way we play the games on television so well, it just is more fun to play video games on television. When the Wii came out, it came with Wii Sports, a game that flexed our muscles at how we play baseball, bowling, and tennis. Now, another game is trying to do the same thing, but does it work?

Wii Play for the Nintendo Wii, feels like a spin-off to Wii Sports, as you play and conquer through several different mini-games and table sports like billiards, table tennis and table hockey. The gameplay is simple to use with the Wii remote, which also comes with the game, as a convient price. There are some highlights like the shooting range, which brings back the classic gameplay from the NES classic Duck Hunt. The graphics look nice, and the control handles very well. Still, there are a few disadvantages with the game. One of them is the lack of challenge on some of the games, with billiards you only play a 9-ball game, rather than other variations like 15 or 10-ball. Another disadvantage, is that there could've been more games to play with like shuffleboard, to add on to the excitement.

Still, Wii play works great as a multiplayer game, but for single player action, it really isn't exciting. Nevertheless, you do get a great bargain for the game, because of the Wii remote, which seperately costs $40 alone. I still recommend this game for anyone who the extra remote, and for some classic parlor fun.

Fun & Enjoyment: C+ for solo players; B- for multiplayer action
