I'm not a big fan of a game like this these days. It takes too much time, you know? But after hearing all the buzz 'round this game, I had to get it as my first Wii game.

Result?

I'm screwed. It's pretty addictive. There are fun puzzle elements to the game and it also exercises a lot of Wiimote capabilities. A perfect show case of what the console is capable of.

5 stars for the fun. -1 star for taking up too much time. ;-P

Amazing

I purchsed this game and a Wii system at launch and imdeiatly was blown away by this game. While the graphics are not as good as those for the XBOX 360 and PS3the gameplay is absolutley breathtaking. The story hooks you imediatly just like with every Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is amust have for any gamer.

The best Zelda game ever!!!!

This is the best Zelda game ever, graphics are not ment to be like a top notch heavy video card stuff like on a ps3 don`t ask that much from your wii, it`s a whole different beast. This game is killer, it`s fun, it`s complex, it`s long and playing is just great with the wiimote and the nunchuk. Sword fighting it`s fun and the nunchuk is your shield, really it`s a great game I don`t give it 5 stars because I think characters should have real voice and not only subtitles.

No doubt fun....but is it the same fun over and over again?

I'm not going to rag on Zelda for the Wii because it's a better game then that. I have quite a few hours invested in it now and am beginning to become a little bored with it.

Maybe it's repetitious game play, maybe it's lacking serious challenge, I don't really know. All I know is I can't jump on the "Love Zelda" bandwagon.

In my opinion, people wanted so badly to love this game.....so they do. I wanted to love it because it costs $50. It's too bad that when I go to my Wii I'm more entertained by the Vote channel or old school Mario then I am with Zelda.

Call me hard to please or just plain stupid....but Zelda is average in my opinion.

Way too Anime

My biggest dissapointment in this game are the characters and the story. Everything is so typically any kind of anime, I could predict every little thing they were going to say without even talking to them, because I've seen it all before.
Especially Midna, the most annoying character of all games. She is more than the typical "Eiko FF9, Yuffie FF7 or any other cute and giggly tiny girl".
I hated her laughter and she does is giggle and giggle and giggle.
In fact, as soon as you need her, she GIGGLES. I actually turned the sound off, because I got so sick of it.

What I did enjoy with this game was that you start out with Epona (the horse) right away, you don't have to get her later on!
I love horses and I thought the goat-game was fun. I also loved shooting with the slingshot.
But this is destroyed early on, because you transform into a wolf... for a long time. No horse, NO LINK, no slingshot to shoot targets.
This completely killed of any fun in the game, being a wolf is insanely boring. The tasks are simple, but annoying and tedious, and it's hard to attack enemies. Also, in one of the earlier quests, if you die, you have to walk a loooooooooong way to kill the boss again.

The only thing I hated more than Midna was to fish!

I still haven't completed the game, don't know if I will either.

Yeah, its the biggest Zelda yet, but not the best...

Out of 100, i would give this game a 70%

I'm reviewing the Wii version, so controls matter for this one..

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (TP for short) is not the game i expected, especially for the Wii. This game was in development and hyped for way too long before it's release and it doesn't live up to it at all! Sure, its a good game, but I remember Shigeru Myamota(spelling), the man that came up with Zelda(and Mario, Metroid, pretty much all the great Nintendo games) said that TP was going to be the best Zelda game to date. I was so excited since A Link to the Past(ALttP) and Ocarina of Time(OoT) are my favorite games of all time, and deservingly so! They also said that this game was going to be much larger than Oot, about 3 or 4 times. I was so psyched about this game, especially since it wasnt going to be as kiddy looking as Wind Waker.

Well, i got the game and i started playing it. Zelda games are usually slow at the start and i'm ok with that. But this game started out unusually slow and i was getting so bored with it. After learning the new control scheme and playing through the first dungean ive realized that the new controls are just ANNOYING!! Nothing intuitive and nothing to interesting with it. Instead of pushing a button to throw a rock, you throw the controller. But sometimes you have to push a button to throw something so its not consistant. And if you want to swing your sword, you can tap your finger on the remote and Link will swing his sword. All they did was replace the buttons with these gimmick moves on the controller. This is definitely a reason why they should have delayed the Wii and TP for awhile until they could come up with more intuitive controls. When i swing the Wii-mote, i want Link to swing it at the same angle as i do, not just swinging it the same way regardless of how i do!!

Link as a wolf was utter crap and simply boring. Everytime i changed into a wolf i was praying that i would transform back to human form as soon as possible. Fighting as a wolf is so uninteresting!

The combat in this game is so freakin easy. Its almost pathetic how easy the enemies are! The only time the enemies are at all challenging is when the control scheme gets messed up. The boss fights are way too easy too. Some of the puzzles and challenges can be solved by a 4 year old. If you have mastered old Zelda games, you will know what to do with a puzzle pretty much right away. They need a difficulty setting with Zelda now. Making the whole game easy is not going to win over veteran fans!

Im disgusted with this game! I stopped playing it a few days ago and now all i want to do with my Wii is play virtual console games! I bought a Wii just for TP, but now its turning out to be a system for old games i never got the chance to play.

I heard they have already been working on the next Zelda game for a year now. I really hope they define a new era for Zelda. The whole setup of the game is getting old. Its really been the same thing since A link to the Past. You collect 3 things for someone or something, then you move on to collect 6 - 8 other things, then you have to face Ganon. Wow, time for a change, and nothing along the lines of Wind Waker. But this review is all my opinion, try the game out and see if you like it. Alot of people really like this game, i however do not.

The most epic Zelda game ever created!

A few weeks ago I bought both the Wii system and the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Pirincess for the Wii and can't give enough praise for both! Twilight Princess has many things in there to bring the old Zelda fan back for more for contains a lot old zelda extravgenza such as the Temple of Time and its original music from Ocarina of Time, The Zoras and the Gorons, and not to mention the return of most of the locations from Ocarina of Time such as Gerudo Desert, and the Zora Domain. You'll be surprised at much of the music from Ocarina of Time has returned in Twilight Princess, but I won't spoil it for you. All of Link's original weapons from Ocarina of Time have returned only with upgrades attached to them including the famous Master Sword. In the meantime the graphics are beyond superb including the character design of Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, and Link's beloved trusty companion Midna are presented with detailed everything. The game shows Hyrule for what it is by turning it into an incredibly large world that eventually after you beat the first three temples, Midna will give the power to warp all over the place. Now the gameplay for me was fascinating for it resembled OOT's gameplay in many ways for the mini fishing game has returned, there are lot of mini games in castle town you can play for extra stuff as well. Now aside from the graphics and the gameplay Twilight Princess is the most dark, and emotional of the Zelda games for it contains all kinds of implications of death and destruction in the plot. Midna is a twilight being who helps Link just to help herself out in the beginning but soon grows to feel she needs to help out the light realm as well as the shadow realm. For a game the chemistry between Link and Midna I felt was a lot better than when he had Navi, although I sort of wish the game could have made some mention of her, but it was good companionship non the less. The character of Ganondorf we as devoted Zelda fans have known to be the central antagonist of the series, and in Twilight Princess he is finally shown as an evil, sinister, darker being that we always took him for. In terms of a rightful sequal to Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess is the best there is. I don't even consider The Wind Waker a Legend of Zelda game for it didn't have any of the elements it needed to live up to OOT. Many have said this is better than Ocarina of Time, for me they are equal all the way! I finished it yesterday and could not believe the awesome power put into the ending. It is a fun, masterful game that just goes to show that taking 4 years to make a game is the key to making it a success.

Twilight Princess is one of those games that come every 3 or 5 years, even less. Though it was conceived as a gamecube game, it shines the best on Wii, giving the player enhanced control, specially when aiming. After a few minutes the control feels second nature, and personally I would not go back to a standard controller. The game is heavily based on Ocarina of Time, letting fans discover it throughout the game. It is without a doubt the best Zelda in the series. Nintendo has nailed it, yet again.

this game is wonderful in almost every aspect, the gameplay itself is amazing, the wiimote and nunchuck are used perfectly, the graphics, while not as good as those in some of the xbox360 or PS3 games, are beautifully constructed, this is the best action adventure game i have ever played
