Why do these games have to be so HARD!

I am a fan of easy to play RPGs. Some of my favorites are Final Fantasy X and Devil May Cry (which I almost beat, it is so easy and if you buy this game, you'll get a cool demo of it). I rented this game, the day before I saw the movie and believe me, I wasn't a big fan of it. I rented Nemesis for PSOne before I rented this, and I had troubles with that one, I like games that only have me use the left joystick, not both, because I have fingers that slip sometimes. I had problems with this in games like Max Payne (which is by far the most bloody, gory and disgusting game I have ever played. Those are the reasons which I sold mine). But I will buy this game, just to try it out, but if I mess it up again, I will be selling it!

Possibly the Best Resident Evil to date

basically this is just like the other Resident Evils in the past but with much better grafix, bigger arseonal of weapons, and new plot twists. The only reason i gave it three stars is because these games have little or no replay value. Myself, i got bored with it about 3/4 through and haven't touched it in a month. I would suggest you get it used and not pay as much for a game you will play once and not care about anymore.

This Is The Best Resident Evil Game Out There!!!

i did not actually play this game , i bought it for one of my customers but but he was very eager to purchase so i guess it was off the hook as it is not a game that was easy to find. He just kept on comung to me as was willing to pay any price for it.

horrible controls

man, i think this is the worst disgrace for the resident evil franchise, the controls make the game ****, they tried to make a new type of control scheme, but that ruined the whole game, the way to get the uzis is ridiculous, you simply walk up to a body and get them...
what was a guy with double uzis doing in a level 3 security (middle level of security) prison?
and still i don't like the ink ribbon thing, i preffer to simply click near a typewriter and save

An advice

Wow simplyme "Lauren"....you're supposed to write a review of the game here, not a plot outline....If i was here to buy the game then after reading what you wrote then i have no reason to buy it cause you just mentioned the important parts of the game..

It's a good thing i already beat this game when it first came out, cause this was a big "SPOILER" you wrote... i dont know how people said that this review help them.

PS: whenever you gonna tell everyone here the entire plotline of a game put a warning on your review, something like
"SPOILER ALERT"

horrible game

Capcom doesn't seem to realize that people play video games for entertainment, not torture. The first boss battle is so hard I just took out the disk and threw it into the trash bin. This is not my idea of fun! Don't waste your money on this crap. All you do is run around looking for things to help you move on. You get pathetic weapons with very limited ammo, then you fight enemies that are very hard to kill (you unload almost your entire clip just to kill one lousy zombie). RE3 is alot better than this one - at least Jill knows how to dodge. If you still wanna try this game, don't pay more than 5 bucks!

it brings back memories.

the last time i played re was when resident evil 3 came out which was in 2000. Well when code veronica came out i was like it looks the same but years later i picked it up and i liked it its similar to the games before, anyways it was the easiest resident evil game to date. When i first encounterd alexia i was all using my best weapons but, then i tried again and found out to use the hand gun and it worked killed her before she touched me.the tyrant too was easy just hurt him and push the red button. Anyway it was not as scary as the first 2 games but im looking foward to re4. Ps. im 17 yrs old.

Mommy the game broke.

the stupid game broke on me. one day i played the game then the next it still worked its just that well controlers didnt work anymore on that game. i was almost finished with the claire part wich was fun. i still think resident evil 2 was better overall if it had todays graphics. but this one has a kick A** storyline. to me u need the startegy guide for resident evil games. frankly there to hard well i did memorize RE2 with out using the strategy guide and i could beat it two or three times a day. i could beat it like in two hour's or so and i was only 7 year's old. rent code veronica first see if u like and get it if u do.

Awesome!!!

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X is an awesome game! I'm almost done w/ it right now (trying to beat the last master), and it's been scary but very fun. I think it's the best out of the series (RE 1, 2, and 3) in terms of graphics (clear and and vast improvement over the previous REs). The switch to DVD has definitely helped. The movie clips are good too (despite what others may say). Story/plot's pretty good as well.

My only minor complaints:
1)Control buttons are a bit different from RE3, and even if you change the configuration in options, it still won't be the same as RE3. However, you get used to it after awhile, and I actually find it well-designed after getting used to it.
2)Though most of the puzzles/clues are good as usual, I have encountered a few that I don't see how anyone would be able to figure out. I think it's poorly worded, perhaps through the translation from Japanese. One was when the clue said: Alexia and Alexander are two sides of a coin, and there were 4 symbols next to name. Since it's talking about 2 sides of a coin, you would think you would reverse the code or something. However, the actual code is a bit strange, a scramble of the symbols, with no particular order. There were 1 or 2 other bad puzzles like that.
My third complaint: 3) There is no distinction between "Easy" and "Hard" modes, so if you're like me, who is used to playing easy, this may be a challenge at first. However, it's not bad, and you get used to it.

Overall, I totally recommend it! I can't wait until the next Resident Evil comes out. I hope you have a PS 2, because the same game is a lot more for game cube. Oh yeah, one more hint for the game: Remember to be conservative about ammo and herbs.
