Its the best game ever for max Payne

Its the most Heart stoping game I have ever saw for Max Payne and breath taking the down side of it is that one shot and you are dead thats all of the down side but it is real almost.

This game is really fun to play more so with the feature of bullet time where eerything is in slow motion, when you go against the bad guys. However as you get futher into the game there are parts where one would consider using or look for cheats codes. Such as two parts that I had to use them in, one is in a dream sequence where you have to follow a blood trail and you have to back track if you make a mistake, keep in mind that it's dark. The other part is when your in a resturant and it's on fire and you have to run for your life, Even with the slow-motion it requires replaying that part over several times.
The other boards are fun to play.

In the heat this is pretty warm

In the heat of good games such as Madden NFL 2004, GTA Vice City, and others this is warm while others consider it fire in the heat of a good game. I'd give this a 4.7 out of 5 stars with gun fighting, blood flying, slow motion bullet time matrix-like action with a great story of Max Payne's revenge against gangsters after his kid and his wife is murdered. But be warned though...Lots of blood, and adult isues such as the first level. The first level is when Max fines his wife and baby murdered...and you can't skip the graphic parts....its well for mature gamers but is very graphic with chilling realistic comic-like transitions throughout levels. But after that first level it isn't so bad. Believe it or not it's cheesy in some parts with bad guys not even cussing (which is weird because the story is so serious). This game is fun but be warned...Only turn on cheats after you beat the game...if you do it before you beat it the game will seem repetitive...just PLAY THE GAME REGULAR WITHOUT ANY CHEATS AND BEAT IT...IT FUN THAT WAY!

Rockstar Games Does it again

Rockstar (makers of Grand Theft Auto & Vice City need I say more?) does it again. Cutting edge graphics that provide real bullet time and complete 360 view. The story boards could have been done better but the story is actually quite good, infact intriging. Good Fun. Thumb's up. Get the sequel too.

In one of the most innovative video games I have ever played, "Max Payne" is a exciting, gritty and extremely bloody game brought to you by Rockstar Games, makers of the violent "Grand Theft Auto" series.

You play as Max Payne, a New York undercover cop, who, after the death of his family, is framed for a murder of his superior and battles the mob, his own people and a whole lot worse. The game is really action packed. But I was somewhat confused by the storyline. I had trouble keeping up with it, by all the additional backstory and other locations Max ventures.

The climax is was a letdown. For some gamers out there, I never actually finished the game! The last level is extremely hard to finish. Rockstar Games did a fair job of developing the game. "Max Payne" has somewhat one-rate but realistic graphics. But I enjoyed the urban settings in every level. It really feels like a New York ghetto! The voice acting is pretty good, despite some misunderstandings with the characters.

I enjoyed killing all the bad guys. They become tired after a while, but that's OK. There are alot of weapons to choose from. But the most memorable sequence in this game is to use slow motion gameplay called "bullet-time". Some other guy called it "slow-down". How silly! Anyway, bullet-time cannot be used every time, since it's only use from moment to moment.

"Max Payne" is a fine game to play. Despite some flaws, it's still fun. I haven't played part 2, but I heard it's good.

this is a very good game, im a female and i got into ps2 because of this game, my boyfriend was playing it and while watching him play, i got caught up in the story, pretty soon i wanted to play, i couldnt help myself, its soooo much fun, max payne is cool, now im a gamer for life, my boyfriend is ecstatic of course, lol!!!!

This is easily one of my favorite games ever. The story in so good it could be a movie. Max's wife is murdered and while trying to find out why he is framed for murder of a cop. The who game is about him taking revenge for his wifes death and signlehandedly dismantling a drug empire. all of the lines are so clever and funny and wity. the guns are awesome and plentiful. my favorite is the dual ingrams. bullettime makes the game so much fun esspecialy when jumping out from corners and slow motion slaughtering badguys. the game is challenging in that there are parts where you have to interact with the environment to complete a level. there are tons of levels in the game too. there are three parts whth about 14 chapters each with 3-5 levels per chapter. this game is all around fun, challenging and extremely well writen. i could not more strongly recomend it. really gets your heart pounding!!!

A classic, an absolute classic. It's like playing within a Mickey Spillane novel: great action, great story, and great babes (well, I think there's one babe, but she's hot). A must-have for third-person shooter lovers.

This a really awesome video game! It has the best plot, best action, best voices. Max Payne had the American Dream; friends, house, beautiful wife, baby daughter, but one night, all that is taken away! His wife and baby were murdered by junkies on a drug called Valkyr. After three years of being undercover, he finally has a lead on a dark night and NY is having the worst snow storm ever! Max is supposed to meet Alex Balder at Roscoe Street Station. When Alex is shot, Max is framed for murder. Max must avoid the police and the Mafia in order to survive the night and get the revenge he deserves! If you love action, you'll love MAX PAYNE!!!

p.s. I can't wait to see the movie!!!
